Suppose we have a sample of subjects in two treatment groups.To study the difference of the treatment effects,we can analyse the data using all subjects(overall analysis).We may also divide the subjects into several subgroups based on some covariates of interest(eg,gender),and study the treatment effects within each subgroup.The results of these two analyses may be different or even in opposite directions.In this paper,we give a general sufficient condition of consistency between the overall and subgroup analyses.

SUMMARY The p value has been widely used as a way to summarise the significance in data analysis. However, misuse and misinterpretation of the p value is common in practice. Our result shows that if the model specification is wrong, the distribution of the p value may be inappropriate, which makes the decision based on the p value invalid.

Solution-processed perovskite wires are attractive candidates for photodetectors(PDs)due to their simple processibility as well as one-dimensional(1D)geometry with desirable charge carrier transport.However,the performance of the perovskite PDs is generally restricted by the charge carrier transport and extraction efficiency.Herein,we demonstrate that the charge transport and the consequent photodetection performance of MAPbI_(3)perovskite wires can be effectively enhanced by incorporating nanocrystals(NCs)of GaAs-a semiconductor with high charge carrier mobility.Taking advantage of the pulsed laser irradiation technique,we successfully fabricate ligand-free GaAs NCs with a size of~7 nm and homogeneously embed them in MAPbI_(3) perovskite wires through a simple solution-processed synthesis route.Compared with the pristine perovskite wires,the GaAs NCs modulated perovskite wires show improved charge carrier transport with the mobility rising from 1.13 to 3.67 cm^(2)V^(-1)s^(-1),and the resultant PD shows significant improvement in responsivity and detectivity.This study provides a new strategy for improving optoelectronic properties of halide perovskite materials and optimizing the device performance.

Guanosine-based hydrogels have attracted considerable attention because of their simplicity and easy preparation.However,the sugar moiety limits its further applications because of the necessity of sugar in the hydrogel formation.This work reports a G-quadruplexes-based hydrogel consisting of guanine and peptide epitope to form a supramolecular hydrogel in the presence of metal cations.Using the metal ion-responsive peptide epitope from the ion channel to replace sugar motif at N9 position of guanosine results in a novel nucleopeptide.The results show that the gelation time,the diameter of nanofibers,the anisotropic property,and the mechanical property of the hydrogel can be simply controlled using metal cations.The magnesium and calcium ions direct the alignment of nanofibers to form anisotropic nano-bundles.The mechanistic studies indicate the formation of G-quadruplexes in the hydrogel.Compared to the storage modulus of nucleopeptide without the metal cation,adding zinc ions results in an over three-order increase in mechanical properties.Cytotoxicity experiment indicates the good biocompatibility of our hydrogel.Moreover,we demonstrate that the guanine-capped peptide could release STING agonist in a controlled manner.This work illustrates a simple way to modulate the property of the nucleopeptide hydrogel to develop soft materials.

Diagenesis of shale and its control on pore structure, a case study from typical marine, transitional and continental shales

Due to discrepancies in pore structure,the productivity of shale gas reservoirs under different diagenesis stages varies greatly.This study discussed the controlling of sedimentation and diagenesis on shale pore structure in typical marine,transitional,and continental shales,respectively.Continental shale samples from the Shuinan Formation,Jiaolai Basin,transitional shale samples from the Taiyuan,Shanxi and Xiashihezi Formations,Ordos Basin,and marine shale samples from the Longmaxi Formation,Sichuan Basin,were collected.Scanning electron microscope with argon ion polishing,high-pressure mercury injection,and low-temperature nitrogen adsorption experiments were conducted to acquire pore structure parameters.And the diagenetic stage of the reservoir was classified according to thermal maturity,organic geochemical parameters,and mineral composition.Our results exhibit that continental,transitional,and marine shales are period A,period B of the middle diagenetic stage,and the late diagenetic stage,respectively.For pore structure,micropore(0–2 nm)and mesopore(2–50 nm)controlled pore volume and specific surface area of transitional and marine shales,and specific surface area of continental shale have similar results,while micropore,mesopore,and macropore(>50 nm)all have a significant proportion of pore volume in continental shale.The pore structure characteristics and controlling factors exhibit a pronounced difference in different diagenesis stages,the compaction and cementation in period A of the middle diagenesis stage is relatively weak,intergranular pore and interlayer pore of clay minerals are well preserved,and moldic pore and dissolved pore developed as well;organic matter is in high maturity in period B of the middle diagenesis stage,organic matter pore developed correspondingly,while the intergranular pore developed poorly affected by compaction,notably,the carbonate is negligible in transitional shale,and the interlayer pore of clay minerals are well preserved with weak cementation;while dissolution and met

As the scale of current systems become larger and larger and their complexity is increasing gradually,research on executable models in the design phase becomes significantly important as it is helpful to simulate the execution process and capture defects of a system in advance.Meanwhile,the capability of a system becomes so important that stakeholders tend to emphasize their capability requirements when developing a system.To deal with the lack of official specifications and the fundamental theory basis for capability requirement,we propose a cooperative capability requirements(CCR)meta-model as a theory basis for researchers to refer to in this research domain,in which we provide detailed definition of the CCR concepts,associations and rules.Moreover,we also propose an executable framework,which may enable modelers to simulate the execution process of a system in advance and do well in filling the inconsistency and semantic gaps between stakeholders’requirements and their models.The primary working mechanism of the framework is to transform the Alf activity meta-model into the communicating sequential process(CSP)process meta-model based on some mapping rules,after which the internal communication mechanism between process nodes is designed to smooth the execution of behaviors in a CSP system.Moreover,a validation method is utilized to check the correctness and consistency of the models,and a self-fixing mechanism is used to fix the errors and warnings captured during the validation process automatically.Finally,a validation report is generated and fed back to the modelers for system optimization.

自20世纪90年代中期,西方文论就进入了“后现代之后”的发展阶段,但是学界一直没有恰切的概念和理论来对此加以表述,直到“元现代主义”出现。元现代主义是因应当代千禧年前后新的文化艺术和感性结构的重大变化而出现的一种新的文论话语,它试图在现代主义的担当精神和后现代主义的洒脱游戏之间探寻一种文化和文论发展的新路,其话语表达的主要策略是“非托邦的中位”,从认识论上来说“带着”现代和后现代的印迹,从本体论上来说“介于”现代和后现代“之间”,而从历史角度来说又在现代与后现代“之后”。环境设计师以“绿图”替代“蓝图”,新生代文学家和艺术家也日渐抛弃解构、并置和拼贴等美学观念,转而青睐重构、神话和中位等美学-伦理学(aesth-ethical)范畴。这些趋势和潮流表达了一种(通常伴有谨慎的)希望和(时常是伪装的)真诚,体现出一种深具包容性和在两极之间摇摆的感性结构。
