Crustal structure in the Anyuan Coal Mine and its adjacent areas of Jiangxi Province by P-wave receiver functions

We collected high-quality teleseismic events recorded by 12 broadband seismographs deployed in the Anyuan Coal Mine and its adjacent areas in Pingxiang City,Jiangxi Province for nearly two years.The H-κ-c stacking method was employed to obtain the crustal thickness and Poisson's ratio distribution,then the characteristics of crustal structure below the stations were obtained by using the time-domain linear inversion method.The crustal thickness in the Anyuan Coal Mine and its adjacent areas ranges from approximately 32~35 km,with an average thickness of 33 km,which is consistent with the crustal thickness results in South China from previous studies using the receiver function method.The average Poisson's ratio of the crustal bulk composition in the study area varies between 0.22 and 0.25,which is lower than the global value with a 0.27 average,indicating a predominantly intermediate-acidic or felsic crustal composition.There is a weak negative correlation between Poisson's ratio and crustal thickness estimates in the Anyuan Coal Mine and its adjacent areas,suggesting that the absence of mafic-ultramafic materials in the lower crust is associated with the process of crustal delamination.The velocity inversion results indicate that the crustal structure including three velocity discontinuity interfaces,with the first at a depth of approximately 1.5 km,the second at about 10~15 km,and the third being the Moho.The study also indicates that the results obtained by the H-κ-c stacking method are significantly better than those obtained by the H-κmethod,effectively reducing the standard deviation and dispersion of crustal thickness and vP/vSratio.

Summary What is already known about this topic?Over the last decade,the centralized water quality and supply have been substantially enhanced in rural China.However,compared with the urban water supply,most of the rural Water Supply Projects(WaSPs)are small in scale,simple in engineering facilities,and poor in management.What is added by this report?Most of the rural WaSPs have been basically guaranteed sustainable sources of water.More measures should be taken to improve water disinfection effects,water losses control,and operational and maintenance management.The WaSPs with water supplylications for public health practice?Laws and regulations requiring rural WaSPs to carry out a sanitary evaluation should be established.WaSPs should use tools such as World Health Organization Water Safety Plans to identify and control risks.

Subgroup J avian leukosis virus(ALV-J) is a highly oncogenic retrovirus that has been devastating the global poultry industry since the late 1990s. The major infection model of ALV-J is vertical transmission, which is responsible for the congenital infection of progeny from generation to generation. Increasing evidence has suggested that extracellular vesicles(EVs) derived from virus-infected cells or biological fluids have been thought to be vehicles of transmission for viruses. However, the role of EVs in infection and transmission of ALV-J remains obscure. In the present study, semen extracellular vesicles(SE) were isolated and purified from ALV-J-infected rooster seminal plasma(SE-ALV-J), which was shown to contain ALV-J genomic RNA and partial viral proteins, as determined by RNA sequencing, reverse transcription-quantitative PCR and Western blotting. Furthermore, SE-ALV-J was proved to be able to transmit ALV-J infection to host cells and establish productive infection.More importantly, artificial insemination experiments showed that SE-ALV-J transmitted ALV-J infection to SPF hens, and subsequently mediated vertical transmission of ALV-J from the SPF hens to the progeny chicks. Taken together, the results of the present study suggested that ALV-J utilized host semen extracellular vesicles as a novel means for vertical transmission, enhancing our understanding on mechanisms underlying ALV-J transmission.

Solid phase peptide synthesis(SPPS)based on Fmoc chemistry has become a commonly used technique in peptide chemistry,as it can be easily conducted using automated machine,and not requiring highly toxic HF in comparison to Boc-SPPS.With the fast development in the emerging field of protein chemical synthesis,many efforts have been endeavored aiming to find more efficient methods for preparing peptide fragments required in ligation reactions.This review briefly summarizes recent advances in the engineering and modification of Fmoc-SPPS-derived peptides,which can be used as the N-terminal fragments in a native chemical ligation(NCL)or NCL-type ligation reactions.

Exploiting Complex-Type N-Glycan to Improve the in Vivo Stability of Bioactive Peptides

Peptides can be potentmolecules with high efficacy and selectivity in the development of biotherapeutics.However,the poor pharmacokinetic properties of peptides pose major challenges for their broader medicinal applications.Inspired by the proteinstabilizing role of natural N-glycosylation,we design and synthesize a series of parathyroid hormone(PTH)peptides(1-34),bearing either N-GlcNAc or biantennary complex-type N-glycan modification,and evaluate their serum stability and biological activities.The results indicate that an N-Asn-linked complex-type sialylundecasaccharide can increase the serum half-life and in vivo bioactivity of PTH peptides with a broad tolerance of modification sites.Further,hydrogen/deuterium exchange mass spectroscopy indicates that the larger-sized Nglycan can induce enhanced hydration dynamics in its surroundings,which may facilitate an improved resistance for the peptide against enzymatic proteolysis.This sialylundecasaccharide-based peptideengineering strategy has also been applied to glucagon-like peptide-1(7-37),leading to glycopeptides with enhanced hypoglycemic activity and acting time in vivo.Together,these results demonstrate the potential of using sialylated complextype N-glycan as a general engineering strategy for developing long-acting peptide therapeutics.

针对重力勘探中倾斜断层模型密度参数与几何参数的获取,提出了改进藤壶交配算法。传统藤壶交配算法的寻优过程与定量模拟藤壶特殊交配繁殖特征密不可分,但其受制于关键参数(生殖器长度p l)的选取、种群进化方式多样性以及当藤壶位置超出搜索解空间时处理方式的影响。故提出一种结合变生殖器长度pl(va)r,新型藤壶子代更新和越界校正策略的改进藤壶交配算法。通过理论无噪声重力异常研究了藤壶生殖器长度p l对于传统藤壶交配算法的影响,验证了采用pl(va)r策略的有效性以及改进藤壶交配算法的优越性。进一步利用合成无噪声重力异常、含不同噪声比例(10%和30%)重力异常和埃及Gazelle断层实际数据反演对比了藤壶交配算法、改进藤壶交配算法和粒子群算法获取相关参数的可行性、准确性、稳定性和实用性。处理结果表明,改进藤壶交配算法相较于藤壶交配算法和粒子群算法而言具有更小的拟合误差、更准确的模型参数以及更高的稳定性,具有推广至解决其它地球物理反演问题的潜力。

An optimal adaptive H-infinity tracking control design via wavelet network

In this paper, an optimal adaptive H-infinity tracking control design method via wavelet network for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems with external disturbances is proposed to achieve H-infinity tracking performance. First, an alternate tracking error and a performance index with respect to the tracking error and the control effort are introduced in order to obtain better performance, especially, in reducing the cost of the control effort in the case of small attenuation levels. Next, H-infinity tracking performance, which attenuates the influence of both wavelet network approximation error and external disturbances on the modified tracking error, is formulated. Our results indicate that a small attenuation level does not lead to a large control signal. The proposed method insures an optimal trade-off between the amplitude of control signals and the performance of tracking errors. An example is given to illustrate the design efficiency.

液态钠泄漏和钠火事故是钠冷快堆中常见易发的事故之一,而液态钠的雾化特性是影响喷雾钠火的关键因素。为了研究液态钠的雾化特性及其影响因素,本文基于设计制造的一种液态钠雾化特性实验装置,进行了液态钠雾化特性实验研究。研究了液态钠在不同工况下的雾化特性,测量了不同工况下液态钠雾场的喷雾角及雾化钠滴的粒径分布,并研究了压力(0.1~0.5 MPa)、初始钠温(200~400℃)、泄漏高度(55~85 cm)、泄漏边界形状(圆形,椭圆形,尖锐裂缝,粗糙裂缝)以及初始液态钠质量(20~150 g)等因素对液态钠雾化特性的影响。该研究可为喷雾钠火的仿真和安全评估提供基础实验数据,能为钠火防控措施提供技术参考。
