Single-atom alloys(SAAs)have gained significant attention due to their remarkable atomic utilization efficiency,interactions between single atoms(SAs)and metal supports,and free-atom-like electronic structure of dopant elements.In this work,we observed the formation of SAs in pre-deposited metal particles by a two-step thermal evaporation technique,thereby establishing the first instance of discovering SAAs by thermal evaporation.The discovery of SAAs by thermal evaporation extends the range of SAAs preparation methods to include this traditional synthetic technique,which offers convenience,cost-efficiency,and universality.The formation mechanism of SAAs prepared using this technique was elucidated by density functional theory calculations.It was demonstrated that thermal evaporation can be utilized to prepare SAAs with multiple SAs,further highlighting its universal applicability.

Background:Androgenic alopecia(AGA)is the most common type of hair loss in men,and there are many studies on the treatment of hair loss by platelet-rich plasma(PRP).The human scalp contains a huge microbiome,but its role in the process of hair loss remains unclear,and the relationship between PRP and the microbiome needs further study.Therefore,the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of PRP treatment on scalp microbiota composition.Methods:We performed PRP treatment on 14 patients with AGA,observed their clinical efficacy,and collected scalp swab samples before and after treatment.The scalp microflora of AGA patients before and after treatment was characterized by amplifying the V3-V4 region of the 16 s RNA gene and sequencing for bacterial identification.Results:The results showed that PRP was effective in the treatment of AGA patients,and the hair growth increased significantly.The results of relative abundance analysis of microbiota showed that after treatment,g_Cutibacterium increased and g_Staphylococcus decreased,which played a stable role in scalp microbiota.In addition,g_Lawsonella decreased,indicating that the scalp oil production decreased after treatment.Conclusions:The findings suggest that PRP may play a role in treating AGA through scalp microbiome rebalancing.

The low-cost and easy large-scale fabrication advantages of printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells(p-MPSCs) are overshadowed by their limited photovoltaic conversion efficiency(PCE). Here, we introduce the hydrazide derivative of 4-Hydroxybenzoylhydrazine(4-HBH) to improve the PCE of p-MPSCs by inducing enhanced defect passivation. Both carbonyl and hydrazine groups in hydrazide groups present strong interaction with perovskite. The hydroxyl group, as an electron donor group, increases the electron cloud density of the hydrazide group in 4-HBH under the conjugation of the benzene ring,and thus enhances its interaction with perovskite. Additionally, the hydroxy group itself interacts with perovskite and passivates defects synergistically. The hydrazine agents can also reduce I2and suppress the loss of iodine in perovskite films, which inhibits the formation of iodine-related defects.Consequently, p-MPSCs with 4-HBH achieve a high PCE of 19.21%, and present well improved stability.

As the indispensable second cellular messenger,calcium signaling is involved in the regulation of almost all physiological processes by activating specific target proteins.The importance of calcium ions(Ca^(2+))makes its“Janus nature”strictly regulated by its concentration.Abnormal regulation of calcium signals may cause some diseases;however,artificial regulation of calcium homeostasis in local lesions may also play a therapeutic role.“Calcium overload,”for example,is characterized by excessive enrichment of intracellular Ca^(2+),which irreversibly switches calcium signaling from“positive regulation”to“reverse destruction,”leading to cell death.However,this undesirable death could be defined as“calcicoptosis”to offer a novel approach for cancer treatment.Indeed,Ca^(2+)is involved in various cancer diagnostic and therapeutic events,including calcium overload-induced calcium homeostasis disorder,calcium channels dysregulation,mitochondrial dysfunction,calcium-associated immunoregulation,cell/vascular/tumor calcification,and calcification-mediated CT imaging.In paral-lel,the development of multifunctional calcium-based nanomaterials(e.g.,calcium phosphate,calcium carbonate,calcium peroxide,and hydroxyapatite)is becoming abundantly available.This review will highlight the latest insights of the calcium-based nanomaterials,explain their application,and provide novel perspective.Identifying and characterizing new patterns of calcium-dependent signaling and exploiting the disease element linkage offer additional translational opportunities for cancer theranostics.

The solubility of H_(2)S was measured in solutions of N-butyl-N-methylmorpholine acetate([Bmmorp][Ac])containing 20%-40%(mass)water at experimental temperatures ranged from 298.15 to 328.15 K and pressures up to 320 k Pa.The total solubility of H_(2)S increased with higher temperatures,lower pressures,and reduced water content.The reaction equilibrium thermodynamic model was used to correlate the solubility data.The results indicate that the chemical reaction equilibrium constant decrease with increasing water content and temperature,whereas Henry constant increase with increasing water content and temperature.Compared with other ionic liquids,H_(2)S exhibits a higher physical absorption enthalpy and a lower chemical absorption enthalpy in[Bmmorp][Ac]aqueous solution.This suggests that[Bmmorp][Ac]has a strong physical affinity for H_(2)S and low energy requirement for desorption.Quantum chemical methods were used to investigate the molecular mechanism of H_(2)S absorption in ionic liquids.The interaction energy analysis revealed that the binding of H_(2)S with the ionic liquid in a1:2 ratio is more stable.Detailed analyses by the methods of the interaction region indicator and the atoms in molecules were conducted to the interactions between H_(2)S and the ionic liquid.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common primary malignant tumor of the liver,but early diagnosis and effective treatment are still difficult.With the development of radionuclide applications in medicine,nuclear medicine is playing an increasingly important role in the diagnosis and treatment of HCC.Radionuclide-based positron emission tomography-computed tomography and single-photon emission computed tomography-computed tomography molecular imaging are indispensable for assessing progression,staging,differentiation,preoperative planning,postoperative prediction,and evaluation of HCC in clinical applications.Moreover,radionuclide-based endoradiotherapy provides an objective therapeutic strategy for patients with unresectable advanced HCC.This review highlights the application and development of radionuclides in the diagnosis and treatment of HCC.More efforts are warranted for the development of advanced radionuclides to make significant contributions in the treatment of HCC.

Illumination Adaptive Identification Algorithm of a Reconfigurable Modular Robot

Reconfigurable modular robots feature high mobility due to their unconstrained connection manners.Inspired by the snake multi-joint crawling principle,a chain-type reconfigurable modular robot(CRMR)is designed,which could reassemble into various configurations through the compound joint motion.Moreover,an illumination adaptive modular robot identification(IAMRI)algorithm is proposed for CRMR.At first,an adaptive threshold is applied to detect oriented FAST features in the robot image.Then,the effective detection of features in non-uniform illumination areas is achieved through an optimized quadtree decomposition method.After matching features,an improved random sample consensus algorithm is employed to eliminate the mismatched features.Finally,the reconfigurable robot module is identified effectively through the perspective transformation.Compared with ORB,MA,Y-ORB,and S-ORB algorithms,the IAMRI algorithm has an improvement of over 11.6%in feature uniformity,and 13.7%in the comprehensive indicator,respectively.The IAMRI algorithm limits the relative error within 2.5 pixels,efficiently completing the CRMR identification under complex environmental changes.

Recent Advances in Interventional Fluorescence Imaging: Toward the Precise Visualization of Transarterial Mini-Invasive Delivery Systems

CONSPECTUS:Interventional fluorescence imaging has gradually developed into a promising imaging strategy for the diagnosis of diseases in clinic.This strategy could benefit interventional targeted treatment because of the clear display of microstructures at the margins and boundaries.There are some stranded crucial issues in clinical application:(i)fast clearance of fluorescence probes;(ii)light instability and photobleaching;and(iii)residual and microsatellite lesions.The development of superstable homoge-neous intermixed formulation technology(SHIFT)can solve the aforementioned clinical problems for precision hepatectomy.Interventional fluorescence imaging based on SHIFT-prepared product has some advantages such as(i)strong stability,(ii)greatly extending imageable time window,and(iii)precisely visualizing microsatellite lesions.In this Account,we overview our current progress in interventional fluorescence imaging based on SHIFT method for surgical resection following long-lasting embolization conversion.To greatly realize interventional fluorescence imaging,we summarize clinical and preclinical application of interventional fluorescence imaging in a transarterial delivery system.Indeed,compared with conventional fluorescence imaging,interventional fluorescence imaging possesses non-negligible strengths on improved intensity in target location and step-down systemic toxicity.Unfortunately,a challenging issue is that immobile fluorescence performance is difficult to maintain after long-time embolization,resulting in a failed hepatectomy.On this basis,associated with our previous research,SHIFT was proposed and developed.Thus,we detailedly introduce and account the development and preponderance of SHIFT on interventional fluorescence imaging.Predictably,after lengthy embolization,its lightful fluorescence was still observable in tumor targets of a clinical trial.To regulate the fluorescence rendering of microsatellite lesion,SHIFT combining with pure nanoprobes(nanoICG)occurs,namely SHIFT nanoICG,and we dwell on
