Background:EBV-miR-BARTs exhibit significant relevance in epithelial tumors,particularly in EBVassociated gastric and nasopharyngeal cancers.However,their specific mechanisms in the initiation and progression of gastric cancer remain insufficiently explored.Material and Methods:Initially,EBV-miRNA-BART6-5p and its target gene SMAD4 expression were assessed in EBV-associated gastric cancer tissues and cell lines.Subsequent transfection induced overexpression of EBV-miRNA-BART6-5p in AGS and MKN-45,and downregulation in EBVpositive cells(SUN-719).The subsequent evaluation aimed to observe their impact on gastric cancer cell proliferation,migration,and glycolytic processes,with the TGF-β/SMAD4 signaling pathway value clarified using a TGF-βinhibitor.Results:EBV-miRNA-BART6-5p exhibits pronounced upregulation in EBV-associated gastric cancer tissues and EBV-positive cells,while its target gene SMAD4 demonstrates downregulated expression.Upregulation of it can promote the proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells.Additionally,We found EBV-miRNA-BART6-5p promotes glycolysis of gastric cancer cells.Inhibition of the TGF-β/SMAD4 signaling pathway resulted in suppressed proliferation and migration of gastric cancer cells,concomitant with a diminished glycolytic capacity.Conclusion:In this study,we found that EBV-miRNA-BART6-5p can target SMAD4,effectively increasing glycolysis in gastric cancer cells by regulating the TGF-β/SMAD4 signaling pathway,thereby enhancing the proliferation and metastasis of gastric cancer cells.Our findings may offer new insights into the metabolic aspects of gastric cancer.

New Sixth-Order Compact Schemes for Poisson/Helmholtz Equations

Some new sixth-order compact finite difference schemes for Poisson/Helmholtz equations on rectangular domains in both two-and three-dimensions are developed and analyzed.Different from a few sixth-order compact finite difference schemes in the literature,the finite difference and weight coefficients of the new methods have analytic simple expressions.One of the new ideas is to use a weighted combination of the source term at staggered grid points which is important for grid points near the boundary and avoids partial derivatives of the source term.Furthermore,the new compact schemes are exact for 2D and 3D Poisson equations if the solution is a polynomial less than or equal to 6.The coefficient matrices of the new schemes are M-matrices for Helmholtz equations with wave number K≤0,which guarantee the discrete maximum principle and lead to the convergence of the new sixth-order compact schemes.Numerical examples in both 2D and 3D are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed schemes.

Synthesis and Flocculation of Polyacrylamide with Low Water Absorption for Non-dispersible Underwater Concrete

The polyacrylamide which is directly added into concrete shows strong water absorption property.Thus the construction of underwater constructure would demand high amount of water,resulting in poor workability of concrete and strength shrinkage after hardening.Herein,a kind of anionic polyacrylamide(APAM)grafted with water reducing functional group(-COOH)was synthesized at low temperatures by partial factor design and response surface design.The structure and morphology of APAM were characterized by UV,FTIR and SEM methods.The experimental results show that the molecular weight of the synthesized APAM could reach 11 million,under the condition that the temperature was 35℃,the pH value was 8,the monomer concentration was 27wt%,the initiator dosage was 0.6wt%,and the monomer ratio(n(AM):n(AA))was 3.When the APAM was applied into the underwater slurry,it presented good flocculation and low water demand.When the dosage was 1%of the mass of the cement,the water demand increased by 12%,which could meet the self-leveling and anti-dispersity of the underwater slurry at the same time.This technology provides technical guidance for the large-scale industrial production of polyacrylamide for underwater concrete construction while achieving environmental protection during production.

As a promising candidate seed cell type in regenerative medicine, mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have attracted considerable attention. The unique capacity of MSCs to exert a regulatory effect on immunity in an autologous/allergenic manner makes them an attractive therapeutic cell type for immune disorders. In this review, we discussed the current knowledge of and advances in MSCs, including its basic biological properties, i.e., multilineage differentiation, secretome, and immunomodulation. Specifically, on the basis of our previous work, we proposed three new concepts of MSCs, i.e.,“subtotipotent stem cell” hypothesis, MSC system, and “Yin and Yang” balance of MSC regulation, which may bring new insights into our understanding of MSCs. Furthermore, we analyzed data from the Clinical Trials database (http://clinicaltrials.gov) on registered clinical trials using MSCs to treat a variety of immune diseases, such as graft-versus-host disease, systemic lupus erythematosus, and multiple sclerosis. In addition, we highlighted MSC clinical trials in China and discussed the challenges and future directions in the field of MSC clinical application.

Energy flow characteristics of friction-induced nonlinear vibrations in a water-lubricated bearing-shaft coupled system

Based on the energy flow theory of nonlinear dynamical system,the stabilities,bifurcations,possible periodical/chaotic motions of nonlinear water-lubricated bearing-shaft coupled systems are investigated in this paper.It is revealed that the energy flow characteristics around the equlibrium point of system behaving in the three types with different friction-para-mters.(a)Energy flow matrix has two negative and one positive energy flow factors,constructing an attractive local zero-energy flow surface,in which free vibrations by initial disturbances show damped modulated oscillations with the system tending its equlibrium state,while forced vibrations by external forces show stable oscillations,(b)Energy flow matrix has one negative and two positive energy flow factors,spaning a divergence local zero-energy flow surface,so that the both free and forced vibrations are divergence oscillations with the system being unstable,(c)Energy flow matrix has a zero-energy flow factor and two opposite factors,which constructes a local zero-energy flow surface dividing the local phase space into stable,unstable and central subspace,and the simulation shows friction self-induced unstable vibrations for both free and forced cases.For a set of friction parameters,the system behaves a periodical oscillation,where the bearing motion tends zero and the shaft motion reaches a stable limit circle in phase space with the instant energy flow tending a constant and the time averaged one tending zero.Numerical simulations have not found any possible chaotic motions of the system.It is discovered that the damping matrices of cases(a),(b)and(c)respectively have positive,negative and zero diagonal elements,resulting in the different dynamic behavour of system,which gives a giderline to design the water-lubricated bearing unit with expected performance by adjusting the friction parameters for applications.

The use of two inhibitors of Mek1/2 and Gsk3β(2i)promotes the generation of mouse diploid and haploid embryonic stem cells(ESCs)from the inner cell mass of biparental and uniparental blastocysts,respectively.However,a system enabling long-term maintenance of imprints in ESCs has proven challenging.Here,we report that the use of a two-step a2i(alternative two inhibitors of Src and Gsk3β,TSa2i)derivation/culture protocol results in the establishment of androgenetic haploid ESCs(AG-haESCs)with stable DNA methylation at paternal DMRs(differentially DNA methylated regions)up to passage 60 that can efficiently support generating mice upon oocyte injection.We also show coexistence of H3K9me3 marks and ZFP57 bindings with intact DMR methylations.Furthermore,we demonstrate that TSa2itreated AG-haESCs are a heterogeneous cell population regarding paternal DMR methylation.Strikingly,AGhaESCs with late passages display increased paternal-DMR methylations and improved developmental potential compared to early-passage cells,in part through the enhanced proliferation of H19-DMR hypermethylated cells.Together,we establish AG-haESCs that can longterm maintain paternal imprints.

在6061铝合金表面制备了硅烷改性纳米ZrO_(2)环氧树脂涂层,采用电化学测试和腐蚀试验,研究了纳米ZrO_(2)添加量对硅烷改性纳米ZrO_(2)环氧树脂涂层防护性能的影响,并对比了不同转化处理工艺下涂层的物理性能和防护性能。结果表明:当纳米ZrO_(2)添加量为100 mg/L时,硅烷改性纳米ZrO_(2)环氧树脂涂层试样的极化电阻为2 719Ω·cm^(2)、自腐蚀电流密度为2.528×10^(-6) A·cm^(-2);在经不同转化处理工艺处理的涂层中,硅烷改性纳米ZrO_(2)环氧树脂涂层的平均厚度为55μm,涂层剥离面积比例为5%,附着力达到1级,极化电阻最大,自腐蚀电流密度最小,涂层防护性能最佳。

Factors Affecting the Catalytic Performance of Nano-catalysts

Comprehensive Summary Nano-catalysis plays a vital role in the industrially chemical transformations.The increasingly severe energy crisis and environmental issues spur scientists to exploit novel nano-catalysts in diverse fields.It is essential to understand the fundamental physicochemical properties of nano-catalysts to develop efficient systems,whose design can be subsequently precisely tuned at the atomic level.In this review,we summarize several key factors affecting the catalytic activity of nano-catalysts,including structure,composition,size,and interface,providing guidance for the atomic level control of high-efficient nano-catalysts.Finally,we present a brief conclusion and some thoughts on nano-catalysis.

以片状铝粉和锌粉为填料,硅烷偶联剂KH-560和硼酸、复合磷酸二氢盐为成膜物质,在低碳钢工件表面制备了一种水基无铬达克罗涂料。通过扫描电镜(SEM)、能谱仪(EDS)和中性盐雾试验、电化学测试,对涂层的表面形貌、成分、附着力及耐蚀性进行了分析。结果表明:制备的水基无铬达克罗涂层具有良好的稳定性,在60℃、48 h条件下涂层不发生变化;涂装后的无铬水基涂层表面均匀平整,无明显缺陷;在600 h中性盐雾试验后,涂层表面无红锈;水基无铬达克罗涂层的自腐蚀电位负移,腐蚀电流降低一个数量级,说明涂层试样的耐蚀性提高,涂层具有良好的防护性能。
