Functional materials with multiple properties are urgent to be explored to reach high requirements for applications nowadays.In this work,a new multifunctional one-dimensional(1D)chain compound[N(C_(3)H_(7))_(4)][Cu(ohpma)]·H_(2)O 1(ohpma=deprotonated N-(2-hydoxyphenyl)oxamic acid)exhibiting both 1D antiferromagnetic and nonlinear optical properties,which are both originated from the same polar[Cu(C_(8)H_(4)NO_(4))]magnetic units,has been successfully synthesized by evaporation at room temperature.Bis-polydentate nature of the(ohpma)3−ligand with constrained tridentate and bidentate coordination sites conducts Cu^(2+)ions coordinating in different geometries and forms 1D chains along the c axis,which are further separated by the[N(C_(3)H_(7))_(4)]+cations.And the 1D magnetic chains further exhibit noncentrosymmetric polar arrangement.Nonlinear optical study shows polar compound 1 exhibits a discernible second-harmonic generation(SHG)efficiency and the calculation of the partial density of states indicates that the SHG efficiency of 1 is mainly originated from the polar[Cu(C_(8)H_(4)NO_(4))]magnetic units.Moreover,magnetic susceptibility shows a broad maximum around 70 K with strong intrachain interaction of J/k B=−113.0 K but no long-range order is observed down to 2 K,suggesting that 1 shows a good 1D magnetism.Both good 1D magnetism and SHG activity suggest that 1 could be as a potential multifunctional material,particularly.

Sensitive detection of Staphylococcus aureus enterotoxin B(SEB)is of importance for preventing food poisoning from threatening human health.In this work,an electrochemical and colorimetric dual-signal detection assay of SEB was developed.The probe(Ab2/AuPt@Fe-N-C)was bound to SEB captured by Ab1,where the Ab2/AuPt@Fe-N-C triggered methylene blue degradation and resulted in the decrease of electrochemical signal.Furthermore,the probe catalyzed the oxidation of 3,3’,5,5’-tetramethyl biphenyl to generate a colorimetric absorbance at 652 nm.Once the target was captured and formed a sandwich-like complex,the color changed from colorless to blue.SEB detection by colorimetric and electrochemical methods showed a linear relationship in the concentration ranges of 0.0002-10.0000 and 0.0005-10.0000 ng/mL,with limits of detection of 0.0667 and 0.1670 pg/mL,respectively.The dual-signal biosensor was successfully used to detect SEB in milk and water samples,which has great potential in toxin detection in food and the environment.

Machine tools are one of the most representative machining systems in manufacturing.The energy consumption of machine tools has been a research hotspot and frontier for green low-carbon manufacturing.However,previous research merely regarded the material removal(MR)energy as useful energy consumption and ignored the useful energy consumed by thermal control(TC)for maintaining internal thermal stability and machining accuracy.In pursuit of energy-efficient,high-precision machining,more attention should be paid to the energy consumption of TC and the coupling relationship between MR and TC.Hence,the cutting energy efficiency model considering the coupling relationship is established based on the law of conservation of energy.An index of energy consumption ratio of TC is proposed to characterize its effect on total energy usage.Furthermore,the heat characteristics are analyzed,which can be adopted to represent machining accuracy.Experimental study indicates that TC is the main energy-consuming process of the precision milling machine tool,which overwhelms the energy consumption of MR.The forced cooling mode of TC results in a 7%reduction in cutting energy efficiency.Regression analysis shows that heat dissipation positively contributes 54.1%to machining accuracy,whereas heat generation negatively contributes 45.9%.This paper reveals the coupling effect of MR and TC on energy efficiency and machining accuracy.It can provide a foundation for energyefficient,high-precision machining of machine tools.

The Transfer and Change of Paints in a Hit-and-run Motor Vehicle Accident

This work investigated transfer and change of paint evidences in a case of hit-and-run.Two kinds of attachments were found on the clothes of the victim and they were initially considered paint fragments from the vehicle causing the accident.Infrared spectroscopy(IR),scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrometer,and Microspectrophotometry were applied for examination of paints and clothing fibers.Polyester was detected in one of the attachments and in the clothing fibers of the victim by IR.A traffic accident simulation experiment was designed and conducted to research whether the polyester attachments come from suspected vehicle paints or victim’s clothing fibers.The results showed that a melt mixture of transferred paints and clothing fiber was formed after a violent collision.Because the amount of transferred paints was too low to be detectable in the mixture,the components detected by IR were mainly from clothing fibers.Thereby,we inferred that only one kind of attachment and paint fragments existed on the clothes of the victim,and the polyester attachments cannot be used to indicate the composition of suspected vehicle paint.Clothing fibers and paints are both common trace evidence in traffic accident cases,and more attention should be paid to the examination of transferred paints on clothing fibers.

Riboswitches are highly conserved RNA elements that located in the 5’-UTR of m RNAs,which undergo real-time structure conformational change to achieve the regulation of downstream gene expression by sensing their cognate ligands.S-adenosylmethionine(SAM)is a ubiquitous methyl donor for transmethylation reactions in all living organisms.SAM riboswitch is one of the most abundant riboswitches that bind to SAM with high affinity and selectivity,serving as regulatory modules in multiple metabolic pathways.To date,seven SAM-specific riboswitch classes that belong to four families,one SAM/SAH riboswitch and one SAH riboswitch have been identified.Each SAM riboswitch family has a well-organized tertiary core scaffold to support their unique ligand-specific binding pocket.In this review,we summarize the current research progress on the distribution,structure,ligand recognition and gene regulation mechanism of these SAM-related riboswitch families,and further discuss their evolutionary prospects and potential applications.

A glass frit containing li2O–Mg O–Zn O–B2O3–Si O2component was used to explore the low-temperature sintering behaviors and microwave dielectric characteristics of tri-rutile MgTa2O6ceramics in this study. The good low-firing effects are presented due to the high matching relevance between li2O–Mg O–Zn O–B2O3–Si O2glass and MgTa2O6ceramics. The pure tri-rutile MgTa2O6structure remains unchanged, and high sintering compactness can also be achieved at 1150°C. We found that the li2O–Mg O–Zn O–B2O3–Si O2glass not only greatly improves the low-temperature sintering characteristics of MgTa2O6ceramics but also maintains a high(quality factor（Q）× resonance frequency（f）) value while still improving the temperature stability. Typically, great microwave dielectric characteristics when added with 2wt% li2O–Mg O–Zn O–B2O3–Si O2glass can be achieved at 1150°C: dielectric constant, εr= 26.1; Q × f = 34267 GHz; temperature coefficient of resonance frequency, τ_f =-8.7 × 10-6/°C.

The high content of aluminum(Al)impurity in the recycled cathode powder seriously affects the extraction efficiency of Nickel,Cobalt,Manganese,and lithium resources and the actual commercial value of recycled materials,so Al removal is crucially important to conform to the industrial standard of spent li-ion battery cathode materials.In this work,we systematically investigated the leaching process and optimum conditions associated with Al removal from the cathode powder materials collected in a wet cathode-powder peeling and recycling production line of spent li-ion batteries(liBs).Moreover,we specifically studied the leaching of fluorine(F)synergistically happened along with the removal process of Al,which was not concerned about in other studies,but one of the key factors affecting pollution prevention in the recovery process.The mechanism of the whole process including the leaching of Al and F from the cathode powder was indicated by using NMR,FTIR,and XPS,and a defluoridation process was preliminarily investigated in this study.The leaching kinetics of Al could be successfully described by the shrinking core model,controlled by the diffusion process and the activation energy was 11.14 kJ/mol.While,the leaching of F was attributed to the dissolution of liPF6and decomposition of PVDF,and the kinetics associated was described by Avrami model.The interaction of Al and F is advantageous to realize the defluoridation to some degree.It is expected that our investigation will provide theoretical support for the large-scale recycling of spent liBs.

li metal batteries（LMBs） have attracted much attention due to the ultra-high theoretical capacity of the li metal anode（LMA）.However,the uncontrollable dendrites growth and low coulombic efficiency hinder their practical application.Here,we explore 3,5-difluoropyridine（2F-BD） as a novel electrolyte additive to enable highperformance LMBs.The 2F-BD additive participates in and modifies the solvation structure of li ions by reducing the coordinated number of PF6-at the electrode surface,leading to the formation of a liF and li3N-rich solid electrolyte interphase（SEI）.The liF component increases the robustness of SEI and suppresses the formation of li dendrites,while the li3N component facilitates the transportation and reaction kinetics of li ions.As a result,the li‖li symmetric cell presents a stable cycling performance of up to 500 h at a current density of 1 mA cm-2.After coupling with liFePO4cathode,the obtained full cell achieves high specific capacities of 106.06 mA h g-1and 84.98 mA h g-1at 2.55 mA cm-2and 5.10 mA cm-2,respectively,and maintains a high capacity retention of84.0% after 1000 cycles at 0.13 mA cm-2,with an average cycling CE of 99.58%.

Activated carbons for electrochemical capacitor electrodes are prepared from soyabean using chemical activation with KOH. The pore size is easily controllable by changing the mass ratio between KOH and carbonized product. The as-prepared materials possess a large specific surface area, unique structure, well- developed hierarchical porosity and plentiful heteroatoms（mainly O and N）. Thus resulted in its high specific capacitance,good rate capacity and cycling stability. Moreover, attributing to worldwide availability, renewable nature and low-cost, activated carbon prepared from soyabean has a good potential in energy conversion and storage devices.
