Fabrication of Bio-inspired Superamphiphobic Aluminum Alloy Surface with Oil-triggered Wenzel-Slippery Transition via Femtosecond Laser

Surface-tension-confined microfluidic devices are platforms for manipulating 2D droplets based on patterned surfaces with special *** have great potential for various applications,but are still in the early stages of development and face some challenges that need to be *** study,inspired by the Wenzel and slippery transition of rose petal,develops a Patterned Oil-triggered Wenzel-slippery Surface(POWS)to examine the microfluidic devices.A laser-chemical composite method is established to fabricate POWSs,which take rose-petal-like microstructures as wettability pattern and a superamphiphobic surface as the *** prepared POWSs switched between high adhesion superhydrophobic state and the slippery liquid-infused surface state through adding or removing the lubricant *** the high adhesion superhydrophobic state,the droplets can be sticked on the *** the slippery liquid-infused state,the droplet can slide along the wettability pattern as the designed route.A POWS-based droplet reactor is further constructed,on which,the droplets can be remotely controlled to move,mix and react,as *** a POWS,which manipulates droplets with surface tension controlled by the switchable wettability patterns,would be a promising candidate to construct multiple surface-tension-confined microfluidic *** addition,the fabrication technique and design principle proposed here may aid the development of various field related to the bio-inspired surfaces,such as water collection,desalination and high throughput analysis,etc.

多尺度特征金字塔可以缓解语义分割在复杂交通场景下通常存在漏分割、错误分割、边界分割不清晰等问题,但现有的多尺度特征金字塔在获取丰富的语义信息时,不得不下采样特征图,牺牲空间细节信息,而这导致了最终的分割结果仍然精度受限。针对该问题,本文提出了特征强化模块,使得有利于正确分类像素的相似特征在下采样过程之前得到基于不同矢量间余弦相似度的进一步加强,降低下采样带来的负面影响。另外,结合空洞卷积和条带卷积原理,本文对大卷积核进行了改造,并构建新的多尺度特征金字塔模块,以获取尺度不同且具备更大感受野的语义信息。该分割方法实时高效,能够满足自动驾驶语义分割要求,在VOC2012数据集上的实验表明,所提出的方法分割结果mIoU达到了74.36%,FPS达到了43,优于目前的主流语义分割方法。

A New Analytical Model for the Flow Stress of Twin-roll Casting Magnesium Sheet at Elevated Temperatures

To evaluate the flow stress of the twin-roll casting magnesium sheet in high temperature forming processes,a new analytical model was proposed by analyzing stress-strain curves measured under various temperatures and strain *** model can be parameterized to reflect the volume fraction of semi-sold grain and sold grains undergoing *** applying the new model,the result showed that the simulated stress-strain curves fit the experiment data very *** curve fitting can be employed for any magnesium sheet when the deformation conditions are *** evolution indicated that it affected the stress-strain curves *** mechanisms of dynamic recrystallization（DRX） depended on the operating deformation mechanisms,which changed with *** the volume fraction and grain size of DRX changed with the Zener-Hollomon parameter and temperatures.

Numerical investigations of the interactions between bubble induced shock waves and particle based on OpenFOAM

The presence of particles and the shock waves generated by the cavitation bubbles can significantly affect the safety and the performance of hydrodynamic *** the present paper,the shock waves generated by cavitation bubble collapsing near the particle are numerically investigated based on the OpenFOAM together with the numerical schlieren for the shock wave *** numerical results reveal that the stand-off distance is one of the paramount factors affecting the interactions between the particle and the shock *** different kinds of shock waves(e.g.,bubble-inception,jet formation,particle reflected and jet-split shock waves)are observed during the bubble collapsing near the *** stand-off distance smaller than 0.5 or larger than 1.1,the maximum pressure at particle surface generated by the bubble growth can surpass those of the collapse stage.

Co-free Li-rich layered oxides(LLOs)are emerging as promising cathode materials for Li-ion batteries due to their low cost and high ***,they commonly face severe structural instability and poor electrochemical activity,leading to diminished capacity and voltage ***,we introduce a Co-free LLO,Li_(1.167)Ni_(0.222)Mn_(0.611)O_(2)(Cf-L1),which features a cooperative structure of Li/Ni mixing and stacking *** structure regulates the crystal and electronic structures,resulting in a higher discharge capacity of 300.6 mA h g^(-1)and enhanced rate capability compared to the typical Co-free LLO,Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.2)Mn_(0.6)O_(2)(Cf-Ls).Density functional theory(DFT)indicates that Li/Ni mixing in LLOs leads to increased Li-O-Li configurations and higher anionic redox activities,while stacking faults further optimize the electronic interactions of transition metal(TM)3d and non-bonding O 2p ***,stacking faults accommodate lattice strain,improving electrochemical reversibility during charge/discharge cycles,as demonstrated by the in situ XRD of Cf-L1 showing less lattice evolution than *** study offers a structured approach to developing Co-free LLOs with enhanced capacity,voltage,rate capability,and cyclability,significantly impacting the advancement of the next-generation Li-ion batteries.

Highly Porous Yet Transparent mechanically Flexible Aerogels Realizing Solar-Thermal Regulatory Cooling

The demand for highly porous yet transparent aerogels with mechanical flexibility and solar-thermal dual-regulation for energy-saving windows is significant but ***,a delaminated aerogel film(DAF)is fabricated through filtration-induced delaminated gelation and ambient *** delaminated gelation process involves the assembly of fluorinated cellulose nanofiber(FCNF)at the solid-liquid interface between the filter and the filtrate during filtration,resulting in the formation of lamellar FCNF hydrogels with strong intra-plane and weak interlayer hydrogen *** exchanging the solvents from water to hexane,the hydrogen bonding in the FCNF hydrogel is further enhanced,enabling the formation of the DAF with intra-layer mesopores upon ambient *** resulting aerogel film is lightweight and ultra-flexible,which pos-sesses desirable properties of high visible-light transmittance(91.0%),low thermal conductivity(33 mW m^(-1) K^(-1)),and high atmospheric-window emissivity(90.1%).Furthermore,the DAF exhibits reduced surface energy and exceptional hydrophobicity due to the presence of fluorine-containing groups,enhancing its durability and UV ***,the DAF has demonstrated its potential as solar-thermal regulatory cooling window materials capable of simultaneously providing indoor lighting,thermal insulation,and daytime radiative cooling under direct ***,the enclosed space protected by the DAF exhibits a temperature reduction of 2.6℃ compared to that shielded by conventional architectural glass.

Highly efficient and wearable thermoelectric composites based on carbon nanotube film/polyaniline

Polyaniline(PANI)was prepared by in-situ polymerization and compounded on the two-dimensional network structural multi-walled carbon nanotube film(CNTF).Compared with the CNT/PANI composites fabricated by using CNT powders or dispersions,the compact and continuous network structure of CNTF/PANI is beneficial to both the thermoelectric and mechanical properties of the *** resultant CNTF/PANI composites with PANI polymerization time of 5 h obtain an electrical conductivity of 1338.4 S/cm and Seebeck coefficient of 63.3μV/K at 360 K,which are 168.7%and 5.7%higher than those of the CNTF(498.1 S/cm and 59.9μV/K at 360 K).Consequently,a maximum power factor of 536.8μW·m^(−1)·K^(−2) at 360 K is acquired,which is about 2 times higher than that of CNTF(181.7μW·m^(−1)·K^(−2) at 360 K).The electrical conductivity of the composites could maintain 93.3%after being bent for 500 times,indicating the excellent *** tensile strength,Young's Modulus and toughness of CNTF/PANI composites(232.3 MPa,3.6 GPa and 20.1 MJ/m^(3),respectively)are 3.5,2.6 and 2.1 times of those of the *** flexible,free-standing,lightweight and high-strength CNTF/PANI composites reveal the excellent thermoelectric performance,which are promising in the applications in wearable thermoelectric devices.

CMAGAN:classifier-aided minority augmentation generative adversarial networks for industrial imbalanced data and its application to fault prediction

Class imbalance is a common characteristic of industrial data that adversely affects industrial data mining because it leads to the biased training of machine learning *** address this issue,the augmentation of samples in minority classes based on generative adversarial networks(GANs)has been demonstrated as an effective *** study proposes a novel GAN-based minority class augmentation approach named classifier-aided minority augmentation generative adversarial network(CMAGAN).In the CMAGAN framework,an outlier elimination strategy is first applied to each class to minimize the negative impacts of ***,a newly designed boundary-strengthening learning GAN(BSLGAN)is employed to generate additional samples for minority *** incorporating a supplementary classifier and innovative training mechanisms,the BSLGAN focuses on learning the distribution of samples near classification ***,it can fully capture the characteristics of the target class and generate highly realistic samples with clear ***,the new samples are filtered based on the Mahalanobis distance to ensure that they are within the desired *** evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed approach,CMAGAN was used to solve the class imbalance problem in eight real-world fault-prediction *** performance of CMAGAN was compared with that of seven other algorithms,including state-of-the-art GAN-based methods,and the results indicated that CMAGAN could provide higher-quality augmented results.

Understanding microstructure-property relationships of HPDC Al-Si alloy based on machine learning and crystal plasticity simulation

Al-Si alloys manufactured via high-pressure die casting(HPDC)are suitable for a wide range of ***,the heterogeneous microstructure and unpredictable pore distribution of Al-Si high-pressure die castings result in significant variations in the mechanical properties,thus leading to a complicated microstructure-property relationship that is difficult to ***,a computational framework incorporating machine learning and crystal plasticity method is *** framework aims to provide a systematic and comprehensive understanding of this relationship and enable the rapid prediction of macroscopic mechanical properties based on the ***,we select eight variables that can effectively characterize the microstructural features and then obtain their statistical ***,based on 160 samples obtained via the Latin hypercube sampling method,representative volume elements are constructed,and the crystal plasticity fast Fourier transformation method is executed to obtain the macroscopic mechanical ***,the yield strength,elastic modulus,strength coefficient,and strain-hardening exponent are used to characterize the stress-strain curve,and Gaussian process regression models and microstructural variables are ***,sensitivity and univariate analyses based on these machine-learning models are performed to obtain insights into the microstructure-property relationships of the HPDC Al-Si *** results show that the Gaussian process regression models exhibit high accuracy(R2 greater than 0.84),thus confirming the viability of the proposed *** results of sensitivity analysis indicate that the pore size exerts the most significant effect on the mechanical ***,the proposed framework can not only be transferred to other alloys but also be employed for material design.
