Application of in-situ characterization techniques in modern aqueous batteries

The development of high-performance aqueous batteries calls for an in-depth knowledge of their chargedischarge redox and failure mechanism,as well as a systematic understanding of the dynamic evolution of microstructure,phase composition,chemical composition,and local chemical environment of the materials for ***-situ characterization technology is expected to understand and reveal the problems faced by aqueous rechargeable batteries,such as the dissolution of electrode materials,the growth of metal negative electrode dendrites,passivation,corrosion,side reactions and a series of *** on this,typical in-situ characterization techniques and their basic mechanisms are summarized,including in-situ optical visualization,in-situ microscopy techniques(in-situ scanning electron microscopy(SEM),in-situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)),in-situ X-ray techniques(in-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD),in-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),in-situ near-edge structural X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XANES)),and in-situ spectroscopy techniques(in-situ Raman spectroscopy,in-situ Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)).Moreover,some emerging techniques concerning aqueous battery research,especially gas evolution and materials dissolution issues,such as in-situ electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance(EQCM).in-situ fiber-optic sensing,in-situ gas chromatography(GC) are *** last,the applications of advanced in-situ characterizations in future research of aqueous batteries are emphasized and discussed,along with some of the remaining challenges and possible solutions.

Low-cycle fatigue behavior of solutionized and aged WE43 magnesium alloys at room temperature

The low-cycle fatigue behavior of solutionized(T4)and aged(T6)WE43 magnesium alloys was studied at room *** total strain amplitudes(△ε_(t)/2)were 0.4%,0.5%,0.6%,0.7%and 1.0%.Detailed microstructure evolution was characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM),electron backscattered diffraction(EBSD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The results showed that plastic strain amplitude decreased with the increasing cycle number in T4 alloy,which is due to the dense persistent slip bands(PSBs)and dynamic precipitates hinderingdislocation *** contrast,the plastic strain amplitude increases gradually in T6 alloy,which is attributed to the enhanced activation of pyramidal *** low-cycle fatigue life of T6 alloy with larger fatigue ductility coefficient is longer than that of T4 *** Coffin-Manson model can accurately predict the fatigue life of T4 and T6 alloys compared to Jahed-Varvani(JV)energy *** T4 alloy,the fatigue damage mechanism was dominated by basal *** T6 alloy,the enhanced pyramidal slip plays an important role to accommodate plastic deformation.

A Riemannian gradient descent algorithm and a truncated variant are presented to solve systems of phaseless equations|Ax|^(2)=*** algorithms are developed by exploiting the inherent low rank structure of the problem based on the embedded manifold of rank-1 positive semidefinite *** recovery guarantee has been established for the truncated variant,showing that the algorithm is able to achieve successful recovery when the number of equations is proportional to the number of *** key ingredients in the analysis are the restricted well conditioned property and the restricted weak correlation property of the associated truncated linear *** evaluations show that our algorithms are competitive with other state-of-the-art first order nonconvex approaches with provable guarantees.

Joint Design of ISAC Waveform Under PAPR Constraints

In this paper,we formulate the precoding problem of integrated sensing and communication(ISAC)waveform as a non-convex quadratically constrained quadratic programming(QCQP),in which the weighted sum of communication multi-user interference(MUI)and the gap between dual-use waveform and ideal radar waveform is minimized with peak-toaverage power ratio(PAPR)*** propose an efficient algorithm based on alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM),which is able to decouple multiple variables and provide a closed-form solution for each *** addition,to improve the sensing performance in both spatial and temporal domains,we propose a new criteria to design the ideal radar waveform,in which the beam pattern is made similar to the ideal one and the integrated sidelobe level of the ambiguity function in each target direction is minimized in the region of *** limited memory Broyden-Fletcher-Goldfarb-Shanno(LBFGS)algorithm is applied to the design of the ideal radar waveform which works as a reference in the design of the dual-function *** results indicate that the designed dual-function waveform is capable of offering good communication quality of service(QoS)and sensing performance.

●AIM:To introduce the macular hole(MH)hydromassage technique as a potentially beneficial approach for the treatment of large or persistent MH.●METHODS:This retrospective observational case series comprised 16 consecutive patients(17 eyes)diagnosed with *** criteria involved a hole aperture diameter larger than 600μm or the presence of an unclosed MH larger than 600μm following the previous *** MH repair procedures were administered in all cases,involving the manipulation and aspiration of the hole margin through the application of water flow with a soft-tip flute needle.A comprehensive assessment was conducted for each case before and after surgery,and optical coherence tomography(OCT)images were captured at every follow-up point.●RESULTS:The mean preoperative aperture diameter was 747±156μm(range 611-1180μm),with a mean base diameter of 1390±435μm(range 578-2220μm).Following surgery,all cases achieved complete anatomical closure of MH,with 13 cases(76.5%)exhibiting type 1 closure and 4 cases(23.5%)demonstrating type 2 *** significant differences were observed in the preoperative OCT variables between the two closure *** with type 1 closure showed a significantly improved visual acuity(0.70±0.10,range 0.50-0.80)compared to those with type 2 closure(0.90±0.12,range 0.80-1.00,P=0.014).●CONCLUSION:The MH hydromassage technique demonstrates promising results,achieving acceptable closure rates in cases of large or persistent *** technique may serve as an effective adjunctive maneuver during challenging MH surgery.

Remaining Useful Life Prediction Method for Multi-Component System Considering Maintenance:Subsea Christmas Tree System as A Case Study

Maintenance is an important technical measure to maintain and restore the performance status of equipment and ensure the safety of the production process in industrial production,and is an indispensable part of prediction and health ***,most of the existing remaining useful life(RUL)prediction methods assume that there is no maintenance or only perfect maintenance during the whole life cycle;thus,the predicted RUL value of the system is obviously lower than its actual operating *** complex environment of the system further increases the difficulty of maintenance,and its maintenance nodes and maintenance degree are limited by the construction period and working conditions,which increases the difficulty of RUL *** RUL prediction method for a multi-omponent system based on the Wiener process considering maintenance is *** performance degradation model of components is established by a dynamic Bayesian network as the initial model,which solves the uncertainty of insufficient data *** on the experience of experts,the degree of degradation is divided according to Poisson process simulation random failure,and different maintenance strategies are used to estimate a variety of condition maintenance *** example of a subsea tree system is given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

A novel strategy of not only stimulating the immune cycle but also modulating the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment is of vital importance to efficient cancer ***,a new type of spatiotemporal biomimetic“Gemini nanoimmunoregulators”was engineered to activate robust systemic photoimmunotherapy by integrating the triple-punch of amplified immunogenic cell death(ICD),tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs)phenotype reprogramming and programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1)***“Gemini nanoimmunoregulators”PM@RM-T7 and PR@RM-M2 were constructed by taking the biocompatible mesoporous polydopamine(mPDA)as nanovectors to deliver metformin(Met)and toll-like receptor 7/8 agonist resiquimod(R848)to cancer cells and TAMs by specific biorecognition via wrapping of red blood cell membrane(RM)inlaid with T7or M2 ***/Met@RM-T7(abbreviated as PM@RM-T7)was constructed to elicit an amplified in situ ICD effect through the targeted PTT and effectively stimulated the anticancer ***,PD-L1 on the remaining cancer cells was degraded by the burst metformin to prevent immune ***,mPDA/R848@RM-M2(abbreviated as PR@RM-M2)specifically recognized TAMs and reset the phenotype from M2 to M1 state,thus disrupting the immunosuppressive microenvironment and further boosting the function of cytotoxic T *** pair of sister nanoimmunoregulators cooperatively orchestrated the comprehensive anticancer activity,which remarkably inhibited the growth of primary and distant 4T1 tumors and prevented malignant *** study highlights the spatiotemporal cooperative modalities using multiple nanomedicines and provides a new paradigm for efficient cancer immunotherapy against metastatic-prone tumors.
