Clinical efficacy of Baijin pills in the treatment of generalized tonicclonic seizure epilepsy with cognitive impairment

BACKGROUND The generalized tonic-clonic seizure(GTCS)is the most usual variety of epileptic *** is mainly characterized by strong body muscle rigidity,loss of consciousness,a disorder of plant neurofunction,and significant damage to cognitive *** effect of antiepileptic drugs on cognition should also be *** present,there is no effective treatment for patients with epilepsy,but traditional Chinese medicine has shown a significant effect on chronic disease with fewer harmful side effects and should,therefore,be considered for the therapy means of epilepsy with cognitive *** To investigate the clinical efficacy of Baijin pills for treating GTCS patients with cognitive *** This prospective study enrolled patients diagnosed with GTCS between January 2020 and December 2023 and separate them into two groups(experimental and control)using random number table *** control group was treated with sodium valproate,and the experimental group was Baijin pills and sodium valproate for three *** frequency and duration of each seizure,the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(MoCA),and the Quality of Life Rating Scale(QOLIE-31)were recorded before and after *** There were 85 patients included(42 in the control group and 43 in the experimental group).After treatment,the seizure frequency in the experimental group was significantly reduced(P<0.05),and seizure duration was shortened(P<0.01).The total MoCA score in the experimental group significantly increased compared to before treatment(P<0.01),and the sub-item scores,except naming and abstract generalization ability,significantly increased(P<0.05),whereas the total MoCA score in the control group significantly decreased after treatment(P<0.05).The QOLIE-31 score of the experimental group increased significantly after treatment compared to before treatment(P<0.01).CONCLUSION Baijin pills have a good clinical effect on epilepsy with cognitive dysfunction.

The study includes the experimental investigation of the evaporation performance of T-type vaporizer,mainly studied the relationship of the inlet air temperature and vaporizer wall temperature with the evaporation ***,it studied the LBO(lean blow out) and combustion efficiency of the micro aero-engine combustor with T-type vaporizer on the normal pressure test *** inlet air condition is environmental pressure and *** gas analysis method is used to study the combustion efficiency,and the inlet air temperature is 300 K,400 K and 500 *** could be concluded that the evaporation performance is improved with the increasing of the inlet air temperature and vaporizer wall temperature;the average LBO is 0.003;the combustion efficiency rises with the inlet air temperature,and it remain constant when the fuel/air ratio changed in the range from 0.008 to *** vaporization ratio is the key factor to determine the combustion performance.

A simple Pb-doping to achieve bonding evolution, VSn and resonant level shifting for regulating thermoelectric transport behavior of SnTe

The intensification of energy crises and environmental pollution inspire researchers’attention to environment-friendly SnTe thermoelectric *** this work,we achieved a lower lattice thermal conductivity and optimized the power factor via the synergistic optimization of bonding characteristic,VSn,and resonant level for the SnTe system,***-introduction produces weak bonding strength,mass fluctuation,and stress distortion,which result in lower thermal *** lowest lattice thermal conductivity achieves 0.66 W m^(–1) K^(–1) at 773 *** introduced VSn relieves loss of electrical conductivity caused by Pb-introduction,and it also makes the bigger g(E)and up-shift of resonance *** VSn,enhanced g(E),and resonant level make electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient enhance ***,the further optimization of thermal and electronic transport performance contributes to a higher ZT value of∼0.86 at 773 K in the Sn_(0.685)Pb_(0.285)In_(0.015)Te_(0.7)Se_(0.3) *** strategy of bonding characteristic,VSn,and resonant level synergistic engineering will be widely applicable to various TE systems for achieving better thermoelectric performance.

Enhanced thermoelectric properties of Co_(1-x-y)Ni_(x+y)Sb_(3-x)Sn_x materials

Co1-x-yNix＋ySb3-xSnx polycrystals were fabricated by vacuum melting combined with hot-press sintering. The effect of alloying on the thermoelectric properties of unfilled skutterudite CO1-xNixSb3-xSnx was investigated. A leap of electrical conductivity from the Co0.93Ni0.07Sb2.93Sn0.07 sample to the Co0.88Ni0.12Sb288Sn0.12 sample occurs during the measurement of electrical conductivity, indicating the adjustment of band structure by proper alloying. The results show that alloying enhances the power factor of the materials. On the basis of alloying, the thermoelectric properties of ***.12 are improved by Ni-doping. The thermal conductivities of Ni-doping samples have no reduction, but their power factors have obvious enhancement. The power factor of Co0.81Ni0.09Sb2.88Sn0.12 reaches 3.0 mW-m-1·K-2 by Ni doping. The dimensionless thermoelectric figure of merit reaches 0.55 at 773 K for the unfilled Co0.81Ni0.19 Sb2.88Sn0.12,

Aqueous zinc(Zn)batteries with Zn metal anodes are promising clean energy storage devices with intrinsic safety and low ***,Zn dendrite growth severely restricts the use of Zn *** effectively suppress Zn dendrite growth,we propose a bilayer separator consisting of commercial butter paper and glassfiber *** dense cellulose-based butter paper(BP)with low zincophilicity and high mechanical properties prevents the pore-filling behavior of deposited Zn and related separator piercing,effectively suppressing the Zn dendrite *** a result,the bilayer separators endow the ZnjjZn symmetrical batteries with a superlong cycling life of Zn anodes(over 5000 h)at 0.5 mA cm^(-2) and the full batteries enhanced capacity retention,demonstrating the advancement of the bilayer separator to afford excellent cyclability of aqueous metal batteries.

The breaking of spin symmetry in the single-particle resonances in deformed nuclei

The exploration of spin symmetry (SS) in nuclear physics has been instrumental in identifying atomic nucleus *** this study,we solve the Dirac equation from the relativistic mean field (RMF) in complex momentum *** investigated SS and its breaking in single-particle resonant states within deformed nuclei,with a focus on the illustrative *** was the initial discovery of a resonant spin doublet in a deformed nucleus,with the expectation of the SS approaching the continuum *** increasing single-particle energy,the splitting of the resonant spin doublets widened *** escalating splitting implies diminishing adherence to the SS,indicating a departure from the expected behavior as the energy levels *** also analyzed the width of the resonant states,showing that lower orbital angular momentum resonances possess shorter decay times and that SS is preserved within broad resonant doublets,as opposed to narrow resonant *** the radial density of the upper components for the bound-state and resonant-state doublets,it becomes evident that while SS is well-preserved in the bound states,it deteriorates in the resonant *** impact of nuclear deformation (β_(2)) on SS was examined,demonstrating that an increase in β_(2) resulted in higher energy and width splitting in the resonant spin doublets,which is attributed to increased component ***,the sensitivity of spin doublets to various potential parameters such as surface diffuseness (a),radius (R),and depth (Σ0) is discussed,emphasizing the role of these parameters in *** study provides valuable insights into the behavior of spin doublets in deformed nuclei and their interplay with the nuclear structure,thereby advancing our understanding of SS in the resonance state.

Advances in self-assembly-based circularly polarized luminescent materials

Circularly polarized luminescent(CPL) materials have garnered attention for their diverse applications, including three-dimensional(3D) imaging, bio-imaging, chiral sensing, and other emerging fields. Traditionally, the fabrication of CPL-activated materials required the use of chiral luminescent small molecules. The introduction of the idea of self-assembly has transformed the production of CPL-activated materials, providing new and promising opportunities for their advancement. Through utilizing self-assembly, it is now feasible to produce chiral nano-assemblies with CPL activity not only from chiral molecules but also from non-chiral substances and inorganic nanoparticles. In addition, self-assembly routes provide a way to increase the asymmetry factor, creating possibilities for additional refinement and adjustment of CPL material characteristics. This review offers a summary of the current progress and developments in the self-assembly of small molecules and polymers, with a specific emphasis on their capacity to create or enhance CPL in different contexts. The aim of this review is to inspire interest in optical materials that are based on the principles of self-assembly.
