Effect of male HBV infection on the outcomes of IVF/ICSI cycles:a retrospective cohort study based on propensity score matching

This study aimed to investigate the effects of male hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection on male fertility,embryonic development,and in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection(IVF/ICSI)*** performed a retrospective cohort study that included 3965 infertile couples who received fresh embryo transfer cycles for the first time at the Fujian Maternity and Child Health Hospital(Fuzhou,China)from January 2018 to January *** couples were categorized based on their HBV infection status into the HBV group(HBV-positive men and HBV-negative women)and the control group(HBV-negative couples).A 1:1 propensity score matching was performed with relatively balanced *** characteristics,semen parameters,laboratory outcomes,clinical outcomes,and obstetric and neonatal outcomes were compared between *** propensity score matching,821 couples were included in each *** groups had similar semen parameters and obstetric and neonatal *** HBV group showed a significantly lower live birth rate than the control group(Pgroup had a significantly higher abortion rate than the control group(Pgh-quality embryos and blastocyst formation were significantly lower in the HBV group than those in the control group(both Pgo IVF/ICSI,male HBV infection reduces the live birth rate and increases the risk of ***,the incidence of low birth weight in women with IVF/ICSI does not increase with male HBV infection.

Objective:To confirm the efficacy and safety of ganyushu granule(gYSg)in treating premenstrual syndrome(PMS)in patients with gan(Liver)depression and qi stagnation syndrome(gDQSS)and determine its effective ***:From June 2018 to March 2021,a total of 240 PMS women with gDQSS were included and randomly divided into 3 groups in a 1:1:1 ratio using central block randomization:high-dose gYSg group(n=78,gYSg 2 packs/time),low-dose gYSg group(n=82,gYSg and its simulant 1 pack/time),and placebo group(n=80,gYSg simulant 2 packs/time).Treatment with gYSg or placebo was given thrice daily and for up to 3 menstrual *** outcomes were PMS diary(PMSD)score and premenstrual tension syndrome self-rating scale(PMTS).Secondary outcomes were Chinese medicine(CM)syndrome ***,PMTS,and efficacy of CM were evaluated with menstrual cycles during the treatment *** indicators were analyzed after each menstrual *** analyses were performed using an intention-to-treat method,and clinical safety was ***:Of the 216 patients included in the effectiveness analysis,70,75,and 71 patients were in the high-,low-dose gYSg,and placebo groups,*** the 2nd treatment cycle,the change in PMSD scores in the high-and low-dose groups was lower than that in the placebo group(Pgh-dose gYSg group after the 1st treatment cycle was lower than that in the placebo group(Pgroup was lower than that in the placebo group(Pgh-dose gYSg group had the best CM syndrome efficacy(PgYSg was safe and well-tolerated at both doses for treating PMS patients with ***-dose gYSg might be the optimal dose for a phaseⅢtrial.

C-CORE:Clustering by Code Representation to Prioritize Test Cases in Compiler Testing

Edge devices,due to their limited computational and storage resources,often require the use of compilers for program ***,ensuring the security and reliability of these compilers is of paramount importance in the emerging field of edge *** widely used testing method for this purpose is fuzz testing,which detects bugs by inputting random test cases into the target ***,this process consumes significant time and *** improve the efficiency of compiler fuzz testing,it is common practice to utilize test case prioritization *** researchers use machine learning to predict the code coverage of test cases,aiming to maximize the test capability for the target compiler by increasing the overall predicted coverage of the test ***,these methods can only forecast the code coverage of the compiler at a specific optimization level,potentially missing many optimization-related *** this paper,we introduce C-CORE(short for Clustering by Code Representation),the first framework to prioritize test cases according to their code representations,which are derived directly from the source *** approach avoids being limited to specific compiler states and extends to a broader range of compiler ***,we first train a scaled pre-trained programming language model to capture as many common features as possible from the test cases generated by a *** this pre-trained model,we then train two downstream models:one for predicting the likelihood of triggering a bug and another for identifying code representations associated with ***,we cluster the test cases according to their code representations and select the highest-scoring test case from each cluster as the high-quality test *** reduction in redundant testing cases leads to time *** evaluation results reveal that code representations are better at distinguishing test capabilities,and C-CORE significantly enhanc

L_(1)-Smooth SVM with Distributed Adaptive Proximal Stochastic gradient Descent with Momentum for Fast Brain Tumor Detection

Brain tumors come in various types,each with distinct characteristics and treatment approaches,making manual detection a time-consuming and potentially ambiguous *** tumor detection is a valuable tool for gaining a deeper understanding of tumors and improving treatment *** learning models have become key players in automating brain tumor *** descent methods are the mainstream algorithms for solving machine learning *** this paper,we propose a novel distributed proximal stochastic gradient descent approach to solve the L_(1)-Smooth Support Vector Machine(SVM)classifier for brain tumor ***,the smooth hinge loss is introduced to be used as the loss function of *** avoids the issue of nondifferentiability at the zero point encountered by the traditional hinge loss function during gradient descent ***,the L_(1) regularization method is employed to sparsify features and enhance the robustness of the ***,adaptive proximal stochastic gradient descent(PgD)with momentum,and distributed adaptive PgDwithmomentum(DPgD)are proposed and applied to the L_(1)-Smooth *** computing is crucial in large-scale data analysis,with its value manifested in extending algorithms to distributed clusters,thus enabling more efficient processing ofmassive amounts of *** DPgD algorithm leverages Spark,enabling full utilization of the computer’s multi-core *** to its sparsity induced by L_(1) regularization on parameters,it exhibits significantly accelerated convergence *** the perspective of loss reduction,DPgD converges faster than *** experimental results show that adaptive PgD withmomentumand its variants have achieved cutting-edge accuracy and efficiency in brain tumor ***-trained models,both the PgD andDPgD outperform other models,boasting an accuracy of 95.21%.

Analytical solution to incident angle quasi-phase-matching engineering for second harmonic generation in a periodic-poled lithium niobate crystal

Phase matching or quasi-phase matching(QPM)is of significant importance to the conversion efficiency of second harmonic generation(SHg)in artificial nonlinear crystals like lithium niobate(LN)crystal or microstructured nonlinear crystals like periodic-poled lithium niobate(PPLN)*** this paper,we propose and show that the incident angle of pump laser light can be harnessed as an alternative versatile tool to engineer QPM for high-efficiency SHg in a PPLN crystal,in addition to conventional means of period adjusting or temperature tuning.A rigorous model is established and analytical solution of the nonlinear conversion efficiency under the small and large signal approximation theory is obtained at different incident *** variation of phase mismatching and walk-off length with incident angle or incident wavelength are also *** simulations for a PPLN crystal with first order QPM structure are used to confirm our theoretical predictions based on the exact analytical solution of the general large-signal *** results show that the narrow-band tunable SHg output covers a range of 532 nm–552.8 nm at the ideal incident angle from 0°to 90°.This theoretical scheme,fully considering the reflection and transmission at the air-crystal interface,would offer an efficient theoretical system to evaluate the nonlinear frequency conversion and help to obtain the maximum SHg conversion efficiency by selecting an optimum incident wavelength and incident angle in a specially designed PPLN crystal,which would be very helpful for the design of tunable narrow-band pulse nanosecond,picosecond,and femtosecond laser devices via PPLN and other microstructured LN crystals.
