Upregulation of vascular endothelial growth factor A/basic fibroblast growth factor(VEGFA/b FGF)expression in the penumbra of cerebral ischemia can increase vascular volume,reduce lesion volume,and enhance neural cell proliferation and differentiation,thereby exerting neuroprotective ***,the beneficial effects of endogenous VEGFA/b FGF are limited as their expression is only transiently *** this study,we generated multilayered nanofiber membranes loaded with VEGFA/b FGF using layer-by-layer self-assembly and electrospinning *** found that a membrane containing 10 layers had an ideal ultrastructure and could efficiently and stably release growth factors for more than 1 *** 10-layered nanofiber membrane promoted brain microvascular endothelial cell tube formation and proliferation,inhibited neuronal apoptosis,upregulated the expression of tight junction proteins,and improved the viability of various cellular components of neurovascular units under conditions of oxygen/glucose ***,this nanofiber membrane decreased the expression of Janus kinase-2/signal transducer and activator of transcription-3(JAK2/STAT3),Bax/Bcl-2,and cleaved ***,this nanofiber membrane exhibits a neuroprotective effect on oxygen/glucose-deprived neurovascular units by inhibiting the JAK2/STAT3 pathway.

Supercritical carbon dioxide printed circuit board heat exchangers are expected to be applied in third-generation solar thermal power ***,the uniformity of supercritical carbon dioxide entering the heat exchanger has a significant impact on the overall performance of the heat *** order to improve the uniformity of flow distribution in the inlet header,this article studies and optimizes the inlet header of a printed circuit board heat exchanger through numerical *** results indicate that when supercritical carbon dioxide flows through the header cavity,eddy currents will be generated,which will increase the uneven distribution of flow rate,while reducing the generation of eddy currents will improve the uniform distribution of flow *** the dimensionless factor of the inlet header is 6,the hyperbolic configuration is the optimal *** also reduced the eddy current region by adding transition segments,and the results showed that the structure was the best when the dilation angle was 10°,which reduced the non-uniformity by 21%compared to the hyperbolic configuration,providing guidance for engineering practice.

BACKGROUND Collision tumors involving the small intestine,specifically the combination of a hamartomatous tumor and a lipoma,are extremely *** our knowledge,no previous case report has described a collision tumor composed of two benign tumors of different origins in the small *** SUMMARY Here,we present the case of an 82-year-old woman who presented with hemorrhagic shock and was found to have a mass measuring approximately 50 mm×32 mm×30 mm in the terminal *** on computed tomography scan findings,the mass was initially suspected to be a lipoma.A subsequent colonoscopy revealed a pedunculated submucosal elevation consisting of two distinct parts with a visible demarcation line.A biopsy of the upper portion suggested a juvenile polyp(JP).Owing to the patient’s advanced age,multiple comorbidities,and poor surgical tolerance,a modified endoscopic submucosal dissection was *** examination of the excised mucosal mass revealed a lipoma at the base and a JP at the top,demonstrating evidence of rupture and associated *** patient’s overall health remained satisfactory,with no recurrence of hematochezia during the six-month follow-up *** This case report provides new evidence for the understanding of gastrointestinal collision tumors,emphasizing their diverse clinical presentations and histopathological *** also offers diagnostic and therapeutic insights as well as an approach for managing benign collision tumors.

Domain adaptation aims to transfer knowledge from the labeled source domain to an unlabeled target domain that follows a similar but different ***,adversarial-based methods have achieved remarkable success due to the excellent performance of domain-invariant feature presentation ***,the adversarial methods learn the transferability at the expense of the discriminability in feature representation,leading to low generalization to the target *** this end,we propose a Multi-view Feature Learning method for the Over-penalty in Adversarial Domain ***,multi-view representation learning is proposed to enrich the discriminative information contained in domain-invariant feature representation,which will counter the over-penalty for discriminability in adversarial ***,the class distribution in the intra-domain is proposed to replace that in the inter-domain to capture more discriminative information in the learning of transferrable *** experiments show that our method can improve the discriminability while maintaining transferability and exceeds the most advanced methods in the domain adaptation benchmark datasets.

On January 1,2024,a devastating M 7.6 earthquake struck the Noto Peninsula,Ishikawa Prefecture,Japan,resulting in significant casualties and property *** information from the first six days after the earthquake,this article analyzes the seismic source characteristics,disaster situation,and emergency response of this *** results show:1)The earthquake rupture was of the thrust type,with aftershock distribution showing a north-east-oriented belt-like feature of 150 km.2)Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)and Interferometric synthetic aperture radar(InSAR),observations detected significant westward to north-westward co-seismic displacement near the epicenter,with the maximum horizontal displacement reaching 1.2 m and the vertical uplift displacement reaching 4 m.A two-segment fault inversion model fits the observational data well.3)Near the epicenter,large Peak Ground Velocity(PGV)and Peak Ground Acceleration(PGA)were observed,with the maxima reaching 145 cm/s and 2681 gal,respectively,and the intensity reached the highest level 7 on the Japanese(Japan Meteorological Agency,JMA)intensity standard,which is higher than level 10 of the United States Geological Survey(USGS)Modified Mercalli Intensity(MMI)standard.4)The observation of the very rare multiple strong pulse-like ground motion(PLGM)waveform poses a topic worthy of research in the field of earthquake engineering.5)As of January 7,the earthquake had left 128 deaths and 560 injuries in Ishikawa Prefecture,with 1305 buildings completely or partially destroyed,and had triggered a chain of disasters including tsunamis,fires,slope failures,and road ***,this paper summarizes the emergency rescue,information dissemination,and other disaster response and management measures taken in response to this *** work provides a reference case for carrying out effective responses,and offers lessons for handling similar events in the future.

Tartary buckwheat(Fagopyrum tataricum)is a well-known pseudocereal for its health and economic ***,abundant antinutritional factors(ANFs)reduces its health *** reported,germination can improve the nutritional profile of *** this study,we systematically evaluate the safety of Tartary buckwheat seeds(TB)and Tartary buckwheat sprouts(TBS)used as high active *** evaluating nutrition levels,bioactive compounds and ANFs in TBS during germinating,5^(th)-day TBS were selected as the raw material.C57BL/6J mice were gavaged daily with distilled water,TB,or TBS for 6 *** physiological indices related to ANFs were *** showed that the TB intake tends to generate negative effects on the gut microbiota,and ***,upon TB intake,the Fe^(3+)content in serum,trypsin activity in pancreas and jejunum decreased,while the cytokine,IgE,and histamine levels in serum,water content in faeces,cytokine levels in liver and jejunum ***,TBS did not induce any obvious negative effects on the above relevant indices and showed better lipid-lowering ***,TBS are safer and more effective as a raw material to produce the functional food for long-term consumption with the intention of preventing and treating hyperlipidaemia.

Heterojunction structures improve the intrinsic activity of electrocatalysts by enhancing the charge transfer between the catalyst and the *** this paper,the NiS/FeS_(2)heterostructured electrocatalyst is fabricated by a simple sulfidation method using an interface engineering strategy to adjust the surface electron density of the *** expected,NiS/FeS_(2)electrocatalyst exhibits superior activity and durable oxygen evolution reaction(OER)stability,requiring only a low overpotential of 183 mV to achieve a current density of 10 mA·cm^(−2)and can be stable for more than 80 h,superior to NiS,FeS_(2)electrocatalyst individually,and precious RuO_(2).Notably,NiS/FeS_(2)is also a good bifunctional electrocatalyst with good overall water splitting performance,and it only requires a voltage 1.56 V to obtain a current density of 10 mA·cm^(−2)for more than 12 ***,the NiS/FeS_(2)hybridization facilitates the formation of coral-like structures,increasing the electrochemical surface area(ECSA)and enhancing the charge transfer efficiency,thus leading to excellent electrocatalytic *** work proposes a constructive strategy for designing efficient electrocatalysts based on interface engineering,and lays a foundation for designing a new class of electrocatalysts.

Raman random fiber laser(RRFL) is a complex physical system that arises from the distributed Raman amplification and the intrinsic stochasticity of fiber *** analysis of the underlying lightwave kinetics at steady state has been the focus of considerable ***,the transient state,such as the RRFL build-up and dissipation,is particularly important for revealing the lightwave interaction ***,we investigate for the first time the RRFL dynamics at the transient state and track the RRFL temporal and spectral evolution theoretically and ***,with the contribution of random distributed feedback,RRFL build-up exhibits continuous Verhulst logistic growth curves without cavity-related features,which is significantly different from the step-like growth curve of conventional fiber ***,the radiation build-up duration is inversely related to the pump power,and the spectral evolution of the RRFL undergoes two phases,i.e.,from spectral density increase to spectral *** the steady state to the pump switch-off state,the RRFL output power dissipates immediately,and the remaining Stokes lightwave from the Rayleigh scattering will gradually disappear after one round *** work provides new insights into the transient dynamic features of the RRFL.

To provide theoretical guidance for performance stability control of low-reactive mold fluxes,the effects of BaO and MgO on the structure and properties of aluminate slag with various CaO/Al_(2)0_(3)(C/A)ratios were investigated using the Fourier transform infrared spectrometer,Raman spectroscope,hemispherical melting point instrument,rotational viscometer and X-ray *** results indicated that with BaO and MgO addition,the structure polymerization was first weakened and then enhanced at C/A of 1.1,and the transition contents corresponded to 8 wt.%BaO and 2 wt.%MgO,respectively,while the structure polymerization decreased continuously at C/A of *** the viscosity change was well consistent with the structure evolution,the polymerization degree played a more prominent role in the slag viscosity than superheat degree when the melting temperature difference was within 40℃.The break temperature decreased initially and then increased with augment of BaO and MgO at C/A of 1.1,while it manifested a decrease trend with BaO addition,and it decreased obviously but then turned to increase with MgO increment at C/A of *** crystallization phase and crystallization ratio kept stable with BaO increment,while the crystallization ratio rose greatly with MgO promoting LiAlO_(2)precipitation at C/A of *** crystal types of all experimental slags were mainly Ca_(12)Al_(14)O_(33)and CaF_(2)at C/A of 1.3,and the precipitation of crystalline phase BaAl2O4 demonstrated a rising trend,while that of Ca_(12)Al_(14)O_(33)gradually declined with BaO augment.
