The responses of soil microbes to global warming and nitrogen enrichment can profoundly affect terrestrial ecosystem functions and the ecosystem feedbacks to climate ***,the interactive effect of warming and nitrogen enrichment on soil microbial community is *** this study,individual and interactive effects of experimental warming and nitrogen addition on the soil microbial community were investigated in a long-term field experiment in a temperate steppe of northern *** field experiment started in 2006 and soils were sampled in 2010 and analyzed for phospholipid fatty acids to characterize the soil microbial *** soil chemical properties were also ***-year experimental warming significantly increased soil total microbial biomass and the proportion of Gram-negative bacteria in the ***-term nitrogen addition decreased soil microbial biomass at the 0-10 cm soil depth and the relative abundance of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in the *** interactive effect on soil microbes was detected when experimental warming and nitrogen addition were *** microbial biomass positively correlated with soil total C and N,but basically did not relate to the soil C/N ratio and *** results suggest that future global warming or nitrogen enrichment may significantly change the soil microbial communities in the temperate steppes in northern china.

Measured overall effusion cooling effectiveness over a wide blowing ratio range using infrared imaging

Experimental investigations were performed on the overall cooling effectiveness η of a flat effusion wall over a wide range of blowing ratio(M=0.47～5.27).The effusion wall had a staggered multi-hole pattern typical of gas turbine combustor application,with a ratio of hole pitch to row spacing P/S=1∶2,a porosity PS/d2=72,and an inclination angle α=30°.The current paper documented distribution of the overall cooling effectiveness on the wall surface,based on infrared imaging of the 2-D surface temperature *** results indicate:(1) The overall η increases along with the streamwise distance for the wide range of M due to the superposition effect of the multi-row film cooling.(2) The overall η substantially benefits from the multi-hole inside convective *** hole convective cooling not only complements the weakest film protection at initial rows but also helps mitigate the temperature gradient.(3) The overall η increases asymptotically with increasing M,unlike adiabatic η mostly published in the past,which decreased after M reached a specific *** current work showcased the end cooling outcome jointly driven by the filming cooling mechanism and the hole inside convective cooling mechanism.

Olefin polymerization is one of the most im portant chemical reactions in *** work presents a strategy that emphasizes the synergistic meta/poro-steric hindrance of N-aryl groups and electronic effects in newly synthesized neutral salicylaldiminato nickel *** nickel(Ⅱ)catalysts exhibit exceptional thermostability,ranging from 30℃to 130℃,demonstrating enhanced catalytic activities and broadly regulated polyethylene molecular weights(3-341 kg·mol^(-1))and controlled polymer branch density(2-102 brs/1000C).The preferred catalyst Ni3 with concerted steric and electronic effects enables the production of solid-state semi-crystalline polyethylene materials at temperatures below 90℃.Notably,Ni3 exhibits an impressive tolerance of 110℃and can withstand even the challenging polymerization temperature of 130℃,leading to the production of polyethylene wax and ***,functionalized polyethylene is produced.

Numerical simulation of the interfacial stress between epoxy resin and metal conductor of power equipment during epoxy curing

There are many metal and epoxy resin interfacial structures in power equipments,which can generate interfacial stress concentrations and may induce accidents due to epoxy *** this paper,through simplifying interface structure into a coaxial cylindrical model,the formation mechanism of interfacial stress concentration of this interface structure was studied during epoxy resin curing *** strain and temperature at the interface were measured by the strain and temperature measurement *** a model for calculating the interface stress distribution was established,including the heat conduction module,curing dynamics module and curing deformation *** validity of the model was verified by comparing the calculated results with the measured *** addition,the air gap defects at the interface,appearing after the curing process,were *** results show that,after the curing process,the first principal stress at the centre of the interface gradually increases from the centre to the edge,reaching 41.06 and 40.20 MPa at the upper and lower edges *** existence of air gap leads to partial discharge at low *** calculation model can be extended to the stress prediction between the metal and epoxy resin in other power equipments.

Symmetry properties and widths of the filamentary structures in the Orion A giant molecular cloud

We identify 225 filaments from an H2 column density map constructed using simultaneous 12CO,13CO and C18O(J=1-0) observations carried out as a part of the Milky Way Imaging Scroll Painting(MWISP) *** select 46 long filaments with lengths above 1.2 pc to analyze the filament column density *** divide the selected filaments into 397 segments and calculate the column density profiles for each *** symmetries of the profiles are *** proportion of intrinsically asymmetrical segments is 65.3%,and that of intrinsically symmetrical ones is 21.4%.The typical full width at half maximum(FWHM) of the intrinsically symmetrical filament segments is - 0.67 pc with the Plummer-like fitting,and - 0.50 pc with the Gaussian fitting,*** median FWHMs derived from the second-moment method for intrinsically symmetrical and asymmetrical profiles are - 0.44 and 0.46 pc,*** association exists between the filamentary structures and the YSOs in the region.

Pleurostomatid ciliates,as a highly diverse and widely distributed unicellular eukaryote group,play a crucial role in the cycling of nutrients and energy in microbial food ***,research on pleurostomatids remains insufficient,resulting in a paucity of molecular information and substantial gaps in knowledge of their phylogenetic *** recent years,we investigated pleurostomatid diversity in various chinese habitats,including their systematic relationships and taxonomic circumscriptions,which were comprehensively analyzed using an integrative morphomolecular *** revealed that:(1)pleurostomatids can be categorized into two suborders,Protolitonotina *** Amphileptina Jankowski,1967;(2)Protolitonotina *** the ancestral pleurostomatid group and includes two genera,Protolitonotus and Heterolitonotus ***.,characterized by right kineties progressively shortened along rightmost full kineties and absence of a left dorsolateral kinety;(3)Heterolitonotus *** an orphan lineage and is defined by an oral slit extending to its dorsal margin;(4)“Protolitonotus clampi”does not group with congeners but instead represents an orphan lineage,thus Novilitonotus *** established to which *** is transferred as Novilitonotus clampi ***.;(5)three new species,Apoamphileptus paraclaparedii ***.,Heterolitonotus rex ***.,***.,and Loxophyllum apohelus ***.,are described;and(6)helices 21es6a to 21es6d within the V4 region of small subunit ribosomal RNA(SSU rRNA)may serve as a useful tool for discriminating *** evolutionary relationships among all main lineages of pleurostomatids are discussed and a key to the identification of pleurostomatid genera is provided.

The Fe-rich intermetallic compounds in Al-17Si-2 Fe were modified via Al-Mn-Ti quasicrystal master *** effect of master alloy content on the Fe-rich phase morphology was studied by scanning electron microscope(SEM)and thermodynamic *** show that the microstructure of the Al-Mn-Ti master alloy consists of binary quasicrystal matrix and ternary AlMnTi secondary *** evolutive tendency of Fe-rich intermetallic compounds with content of quasicrystal Al-Mn-Ti master alloy increasing can be described as follows:long needle-shapedβphase for Al-17 Si-2 Fe alloy,long plate-shaped ternaryδphase for 3 wt%master alloy addition,chinese-script and polyhedralαphases for 4 wt%master alloy addition and finer plate-shaped quaternaryδphase with a phases for 5 wt%master alloy *** ultimate tensile strength of the Al-17 Si-2 Fe alloy with4 wt%master alloy addition(a mass ratio of w(Mn)/w(Fe)≈0.7)increases by 23.8%and the friction coefficient decreases from 0.45 to 0.35 compared with those of Mnfree alloy.α-Fe phases have less negative effect on the matrix compared with the long needle-shapedβphase and the plate-shapedδphase.

Characteristics of oxide pegs in Ti-and Y-doped CoNiCrAl alloys at 1150℃

Oxide pegging is a widely accepted mechanistic model explaining the reactive element effect on the improved adherence of ***,previous models for the oxide peg formation process have not considered the effects of more than one active element added into the alloy during the peg *** study proposes a new model of oxide peg formation and growth for the doping of two reactive elements in an alloy(the precipitated Y and solid solute Ti).Different amounts of Ti and Y were added to a Co Ni Cr Al alloy,and the characteristics of the resulting oxide pegs,such as their linear density,size,and forming process,are obtained by examining alloy samples subjected to an isothermal oxidation operation at a temperature of 1150℃.It is found that the amount of Y determines the density of the oxide pegs,and Ti does not form a Ti-rich oxide core if a Y-rich oxide exists in the *** samples with the same Y content,the oxide pegs primarily grow in length,and with increased Ti content,they grow along the b-phase boundary and into the *** on these results,a three-step model for oxide peg formation and growth is conceived.

Prox1 Suppresses Proliferation and Drug Resistance of Retinoblastoma Cells via Targeting Notch1

Objective Retinoblastoma(RB)is a prevalent type of eye cancer in *** homeobox 1(Prox1)is a homeobox transcriptional repressor and downstream target of the proneural gene that is relevant in lymphatic,hepatocyte,pancreatic,heart,lens,retinal,and cancer *** goal of this study was to investigate the role of Prox1 in RB cell proliferation and drug resistance,as well as to explore the underlying Notch1 *** Human RB cell lines(SO-RB50 and Y79)and a primary human retinal microvascular endothelial cell line(ACBRI-181)were used in this *** expression of Prox1 and Notch1 mRNA and protein in RB cells was detected using quantitative real time-polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)and Western *** proliferation was assessed after Prox1 overexpression using the Cell Counting Kit-8 and the MTS ***-resistant cell lines(SO-RB50/vincristine)were generated and treated with Prox1 to investigate the role of Prox1 in drug *** employed pcDNA-Notch1 to overexpress Notch1 to confirm the role of Notch1 in the protective function of ***,a xenograft model was constructed to assess the effect of Prox1 on RB in *** Prox1 was significantly downregulated in RB *** of Prox1 effectively decreased RB cell growth while increasing the sensitivity of drug-resistant cells to ***1 was involved in Prox1’s regulatory ***1 was identified as a target gene of Prox1,which was found to be upregulated in RB cells and repressed by increased Prox1 *** pcDNA-Notch1 was transfected,the effect of Prox1 overexpression on RB was ***,by downregulating Notch1,Prox1 overexpression slowed tumor development and increased vincristine sensitivity in *** These data show that Prox1 decreased RB cell proliferation and drug resistance by targeting Notch1,implying that Prox1 could be a potential therapeutic target for RB.
