A Dietary Supplement Jinghuosu Ameliorates Reproductive Damage Induced by Tripterygium Glycosides

Objective To determine the possible protective effects of Jinghuosu,a dietary supplement(DS),on tripterygium glycosides(TG)-induced reproductive system injury in rats and its underlying *** A reproductive damage model was established in rats by feeding of ***-eight male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into 4 groups using a random number table(n=7 in each):control(C)group,model(M)group,DS group and L-carnitine(LC)*** in M,DS and LC groups received 40 mg/kg TGs *** from the 5th week,after administration of TGs for 4 h every day,rats in DS and LC groups were administered with 2.7 g/kg DS and 0.21 g/kg LC,respectively,for protective treatment over the next 4 *** in Group C continued to receive the control ***-eosin staining was used for histopathological analysis of rat testicular ***-linked immunosorbent assay was performed to measure alkaline phosphatase(ALP),lactate dehydrogenase,alcohol dehydrogenase,total antioxidant capacity(T-AOC),superoxide dismutase,glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px),and malondialdehyde(MDA)*** assay was used to determine the serum testosterone *** real-time PCR and Western blotting were conducted to analyze the expression of genes and proteins related to the testosterone synthesis pathway and the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2/heme oxygenase 1 antioxidant *** Oral administration of TGs induced significant increases in the testicular levels of zinc transporter 1 and MDA(P<0.05).On the other hand,sperm concentration,sperm motility,and serum testosterone,serum zinc,testicular zinc,Zrt-,Irt-like protein 1,ALP,luteinizing hormone(LH)receptor,steroidogenic acute regulatory protein,Cytochrome P450 family 11 subfamily A member 1,3β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 1 T-AOC,GSH-Px,nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2,heme oxygenase-1 and NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1 levels decreased following TG

Local quantum Fisher information and quantum correlation in the mixed-spin Heisenberg XXZ chain

We study the local quantum Fisher information(LQFI)in the mixed-spin Heisenberg XXZ *** the maximal and minimal LQFI are studied and the former is essential to determine the accuracy of the quantum parameter estimation,the latter can be well used to characterize the discord-type quantum *** investigate the effects of the temperature and the anisotropy parameter on the maximal LQFI and thus on the accuracy of the parameter *** we make use of the minimal LQFI to study the discord-type correlations of different site *** dimensions of the subsystems cause different values of the minimal LQFI which reflects the asymmetry of the discord-type *** addition,the site pairs at different positions of the spin chains have different minimal LQFI,which reveals the influence of the surrounding spins on the bipartite quantum *** results show that the LQFI obtained through a simple calculation process provides a convenient way to investigate the discord-type correlation in high-dimensional systems.

目的：探讨急性高强度间歇运动（high-intensity interval exercise,HIIE）和急性持续中等强度有氧运动（continuous moderate-intensity aerobic exercise,CMIAE）对超重个体冲突抑制功能的影响。方法：采取被试内设计，以超重个体（n=28）为研究对象，采用行为测量和事件相关电位（event-related potential,ERP）技术，记录超重个体完成认知任务（Flanker任务）时的大脑活动变化，比较急性HIIE和CMIAE对超重个体冲突抑制功能行为表现和大脑活动特征的影响。结果：1）与安静对照条件和急性HIIE相比，急性CMIAE条件下Flanker任务P3振幅显著提高（P0.05）;2）与安静对照条件和急性CMIAE相比，急性HIIE条件下Flanker任务反应时缩短（P0.05）;3)Flanker任务正确率运动条件主效应不显著（P>0.05）。结论：1）急性HIIE和急性CMIAE运动对超重个体冲突抑制具有促进作用，但行为和神经电生理表现有所不同，急性CMIAE可增强超重个体大脑唤醒水平，而急性HIIE可能通过加速认知刷新速率提升冲突抑制表现，推测两种运动对超重个体冲突抑制的调控可能存在不同机制；2）由于本研究中HIIE方案时长更短，因此推测急性HIIE对于超重个体冲突抑制的促进可能是一种更为省时有效的运动方式。

Stretchable electronic and optoelectronic devices based on controllable ordered buckling structures exhibit superior mechanical stability by retaining their buckling profile without distortion in repeated stretch-release ***,a simple and universal technology to introduce ordered buckling structures into stretchable devices remains a real ***,a simple and general stencil-pattern transferring technology was applied to stretchable organic lightemitting devices(SOLEDs)and polymer solar cells(SPSCs)to realize an ordered buckling *** the best of our knowledge,both the SOLEDs and SPSCs with periodic buckles exhibited the highest mechanical robustness by operating with small performance variations after 20,000 and 12,000 stretch-release cycles between 0%and 20%tensile strain,***,in this work,periodic-buckled structures were introduced into SPSCs for the first time,with the number of stretch-release cycles for the SPSCs improved by two orders of magnitude compared to that for previously reported random-buckled stretchable organic solar *** simple method used in this work provides a universal solution for low-cost and high-performance stretchable electronic and optoelectronic devices and promotes the commercial development of stretchable devices in wearable electronics.

Optical Fibre Communication Feature Analysis and Small Sample Fault Diagnosis Based on VMD-FE and Fuzzy Clustering

To solve the problems of a few optical fibre line fault samples and the inefficiency of manual communication optical fibre fault diagnosis,this paper proposes a communication optical fibre fault diagnosis model based on variational modal decomposition(VMD),fuzzy entropy(FE)and fuzzy clustering(FC).Firstly,based on the OTDR curve data collected in the field,VMD is used to extract the different modal components(IMF)of the original signal and calculate the fuzzy entropy(FE)values of different components to characterize the subtle differences between *** fuzzy entropy of each curve is used as the feature vector,which in turn constructs the communication optical fibre feature vector matrix,and the fuzzy clustering algorithm is used to achieve fault diagnosis of faulty optical *** VMD-FE combination can extract subtle differences in features,and the fuzzy clustering algorithm does not require sample *** experimental results show that the model in this paper has high accuracy and is relevant to the maintenance of communication optical fibre when compared with existing feature extraction models and traditional machine learning models.

BL03HB: a Laue microdiffraction beamline for both protein crystallography and materials science at SSRF

A Laue microdiffraction beamline (BL03HB) was constructed at the Shanghai SynchrotronRadiation Facility (SSRF). This beamline featu res two consecutive focusing points in twodifferent sectors within its end station, the first dedicated to protein crystallography and theother tailored to materials science applications. Based on a superbend dipole magnet with amagnetic field of 2.29 T, a two-stage focusing design was implemented with two sets of Kirkpatrick- Baez mirrors to achieve a micro white beam as small as 4.2 um X4.3 pμm at the firstsector and 09 pum X 1.3 pum at the second sector in the standard beamline operation mode at *** X-ray microbeam in the two sectors can be easily switched between monochromatic andwhite beams by moving a four-bounce monochromator in or out of the light path, respectively. Inthe protein crystallography sector, white-beam Laue microdifraction was dermonstrated tosuccessully determine the structure of protein crystals from only a few images of diffraction data .collected by a Pilatus 2 M area detector. In the materials science sector, the white -beam Lauediffraction was collected in a reflection geometry using another Pilatus 2 M area detector, whichcould map the microstructural distribution on the sample surface by scanning the samples. Ingeneral, the BL03HB beamline promotes the application of Laue microdiffraction in both proteincrystallgraphy and materials science. This paper presents a comprehensive overview of theBL03HB beamline, end station, and the first commission results.

Worldwide,as the population age,osteoporosis is becoming increasingly common,and osteoporotic fractures have a significant economic *** women are the most susceptible to developing osteoporosis and the most critical time to prevent it is during the perimenopausal and early menopausal *** this regard,we hypothesize rational combination of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)in the form of herbal extract could prevent osteoporosis in *** deficiency during menopause causes low-level inflammation that stimulates the formation of osteoclasts,the boneresorbing cells,and simultaneously inhibits the viability and function of osteoblasts,the bone-forming *** most potent inflammatory cytokine in skeletal homeostasis is the receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa B ligand(RANKL)that stimulates osteoclast ***,the canonical Wnt pathway is essential for osteoblastogenesis and bone formation,and estrogen deficiency leads to diminished functioning of this *** and acupuncture could target the RANKL and the Wnt pathway in favorable ways to prevent the accelerated bone loss experienced during the early menopausal stage and promote the gain in bone mass in postmenopausal *** this review,we propose a rational combination of specific TCM and acupuncture targeting those signaling molecules/pathways by the drugs that are in clinical use for the treatment of postmenopausal *** rational approach revealed that Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae)could exert a synergistic effect with *** then propose a translational path for developing the putative combination in women with postmenopausal osteoporosis to curtail the risk of osteoporotic fractures.

Precisely designing atomic metal-nitrogen-carbon(M-N-C)catalysts with asymmetric diatomic configurations and studying their structure–activity relationships for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)are important for zinc-air batteries(ZABs).Herein,a dualatomic-site catalyst(DASC)with CoN_(3)S-MnN_(2)S_(2)configuration was prepared for the cathodes of *** with Co-N-C(Mn-free)and CoMn-N-C(S-free doping),CoMn-N/S-C exhibits excellent half-wave potential(0.883 V)and turnover frequency(1.54 e·s^(−1)·site^(−1)),surpassing most of the reported state-of-the-art Pt-free ORR *** CoMn-N/S-C-based ZABs achieve extremely high specific capacity(959 mAh·g^(−1))and good stability(350 h@5 mA·cm^(−2)).Density functional theory(DFT)calculation shows that the introduction of Mn and S can break the electron configuration symmetry of the original Co 3d orbital,lower the dband center of the Co site,and optimize the desorption behavior of*OH intermediate,thereby increasing the ORR activity.
