Assessment of future cotton production in the Tarim River Basin under climate model projections and water management

Climate change is significantly impacting cotton production in the Tarim River Basin. The study investigated the climate change characteristics from 2021 to 2100 using climate change datasets simulated per the Coupled Model Inter-comparison Project phase six (CMIP6) climatic patterns under the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways SSP2-4.5 and SSP5-8.5. The DSSAT-CROPGRO-Cotton model， along with stepwise multiple regression analyses， was used to simulate changes in the potential yield of seed cotton due to climate change. The results show that while future temperatures in the Tarim River Basin will rise significantly， changes in precipitation and radiation during the cotton-growing season are minimal. Seed cotton yields are more sensitive to low temperatures than to precipitation and radiation. The potential yield of seed cotton under the SSP2-4.5 scenario would increase by 14.8%， 23.7%， 29.0%， and 29.4% in the 2030S， 2050S， 2070S， and 2090S， respectively. In contrast， under the SSP5-8.5 scenario， the potential yield of seed cotton would see increases of 17.5%， 27.1%， 30.1%， and 22.6% respectively. Except for the 2090s under the SSP5-8.5 scenario， future seed cotton production can withstand a 10% to 20% deficit in irrigation. These findings will help develop climate change adaptation strategies for cotton cultivation.

Metamaterials can control and manipulate acoustic/elastic waves on a subwavelength scale using cavities or additional components. However, the large cavity and weak stiffness components of traditional metamaterials may cause a conflict between vibroacoustic reduction and load-bearing capacity, and thus limit their ***, we propose a lightweight multifunctional metamaterial that can simultaneously achieve low-frequency sound insulation, broadband vibration reduction, and excellent load-bearing performance, named as vibroacoustic isolation and bearing metamaterial(VIBM). The advent of additive manufacturing technology provides a convenient and reliable method for the fabrication of VIBM samples. The results show that the compressive strength of the VIBM is as high as 9.71 MPa, which is nearly 87.81% higher than that of the conventional grid structure(CGS) under the same volume fraction. Moreover, the vibration and sound transmission are significantly reduced over a low and wide frequency range, which agrees well with the experimental data, and the reduction degree is obviously larger than that obtained by the CGS. The design strategy can effectively realize the key components of metamaterials and improve their application scenarios.

2024年是习近平总书记提出“一带一路”倡议的十周年,也是推动共建“一带一路”高质量发展的开局之年。本文探究多元距离因素(即制度距离、文化距离和地理距离)对对外直接投资的潜在影响,以及双边政治关系对其的调节作用,通过构建多元线性回归模型对2013年至2021年34个“一带一路”沿线国家的面板数据进行回归分析,研究得出以下结论:(1)双边政治关系中互动频度增加对母国与东道国制度距离形成正向调节作用,进而影响对外直接投资的战略动机与整合效率;(2)“一带一路”等国家级倡议推动国家间文化距离的拉近,使母国企业在东道国形成外来者收益,进而增强文化距离对中国企业对外直接投资的正向作用;(3)双边政治关系的夯实会减弱地理距离对母国对外直接投资的负向作用,进而有利于增加母国对东道国的投资意愿。基于以上结论,本研究认为母国和东道国企业应通过加强制度关系协调、政策与法律协同、加速文化融合、分散与多样化目的地选择、制定具有差异性的FDI政策、对相关质疑进行合理疏解等途径来促使我国企业更快实现更高质量的对外直接投资。

Controlling segregation and hardenability of gear steel based on as-cast structure

Hardenability significantly impacts the distortion of gear during heat treatment,correlated to the uniformity of solute distribution in steel *** experimental analysis was conducted on the macrostructure,solute distribution,dendrite structure,and rod hardenability of 20CrMnTiH gear steel in continuously cast blooms and hot roller *** evaluation approach by the standards for the hardenability of gear steel rods and the corresponding blooms was analyzed,and the inheritance mechanism from solidification segregation to hardenability fluctuation of gear steel was *** results indicate that semi-macroscopic spot segregation located in the equiaxed zone exhibits larger size,higher solute enrichment,and worse solute homogeneity,leading to significant solute fluctuations in the blooms and hardenability fluctuation in the *** increasing the liquid steel superheat from 35 to 40℃,reducing the mold electromagnetic stirring from 300 to 100 A,and implementing the soft reduction(SR)of 7 mm at the solidification end,the equiaxed ratio of the strand decreased from 26.42%to 6.69%.Consequently,the solute fluctuation range and standard deviation decrease significantly in the transverse section,while the maximum segregation ratio,average fluctuation range,and average standard deviation of solutes C,Cr,and Mn in the spot segregation decrease at the same *** the meanwhile,the equiaxed ratio of the rod decreased from 24.89%to 4.09%,and the structure of the hardenability detection zone was transformed from equiaxed crystals to columnar ***,the solute fluctuation range and standard deviation in the transverse section decreased,while the homogeneity in spot segregation was also *** hardness difference of A and B surfaces at J9 and J15 positions was smaller than 2 HRC,meeting the qualification standard for hardenability.

Background:Episodic memory loss is a prominent clinical manifestation of Alzheimer’s disease(AD),which is closely related to tau pathology and hippocampal *** to the heterogeneity of brain neurons,the specific roles of different brain neurons in terms of their sensitivity to tau accumulation and their contribution to AD-like social memory loss remain ***,further investigation is ***:We investigated the effects of AD-like tau pathology by Tandem mass tag proteomic and phosphoproteomic analysis,social behavioural tests,hippocampal electrophysiology,immunofluorescence staining and in vivo optical fibre recording of GCaMP6f and ***,we utilized optogenetics and administered ursolic acid(UA)via oral gavage to examine the effects of these agents on social memory in ***:The results of proteomic and phosphoproteomic analyses revealed the characteristics of ventral hippocampal CA1(vCA1)under both physiological conditions and AD-like tau *** tau progressively accumulated,vCA1,especially its excitatory and parvalbumin(PV)neurons,were fully filled with mislocated and phosphorylated tau(p-Tau).This finding was not observed for dorsal hippocampal CA1(dCA1).The overexpression of human tau(hTau)in excitatory and PV neurons mimicked AD-like tau accumulation,significantly inhibited neuronal excitability and suppressed distinct discrimination-associated firings of these neurons within *** excitatory and PV neurons in vCA1 at specific rhythms and time windows efficiently ameliorated tau-impaired social ***,1 month of UA administration efficiently decreased tau accumulation via autophagy in a transcription factor EB(TFEB)-dependent manner and restored the vCA1 microcircuit to ameliorate tau-impaired social ***:This study elucidated distinct protein and phosphoprotein networks between dCA1 and vCA1 and highlighted the susceptibility of the vCA1 microcircuit to AD-like tau

The gut microbiome is a key partner of animals,influencing various aspects of their physiology and *** the diverse behaviors regulated by the gut microbiome,locomotion is vital for survival and reproduction,although the underlying mechanisms remain ***,we reveal that the gut microbiome modulates the locomotor behavior of Drosophila larvae via a specific neuronal type in the *** crawling speed of germ-free(GF)larvae was significantly reduced compared to the conventionally reared larvae,while feeding and excretion behaviors were *** with Acetobacter and Lactobacillus can fully and partially rescue the locomotor defects in GF larvae,respectively,probably due to the highest abundance of Acetobacter as a symbiotic bacterium in the larval gut,followed by ***,the gut microbiome promoted larval locomotion,not by nutrition,but rather by enhancing the brain levels of tyrosine decarboxylase 2(Tdc2),which is an enzyme that synthesizes octopamine(OA).Overexpression of Tdc2 rescued locomotion ability in GF *** findings together demonstrate that the gut microbiome specifically modulates larval locomotor behavior through the OA signaling pathway,revealing a new mechanism underlying larval locomotion regulated by the gut microbiome.

Carbonate reservoirs exhibit strong heterogeneity in the distribution of pore types that can be quantitatively characterized by applying Xu–Payne multi-porosity ***,there are some prerequisites to this model the porosity and saturation need to be *** general,these application conditions are difficult to satisfy for seismic *** order to overcome this problem,we present a two-step method to estimate the porosity and saturation and pore type of carbonate reservoirs from seismic *** step one,the pore space of the carbonate reservoir is equivalent to a single-porosity system with an effective pore aspect ratio;then,a 3D rock-physics template(RPT)is established through the Gassmann’s equations and effective medium models;and then,the effective aspect ratio of pore,porosity and fluid saturation are simultaneously estimated from the seismic data based on 3D *** step two,the pore space of the carbonate reservoir is equivalent to a triple-porosity *** with the inverted porosity and saturation in the first step,the porosities of three pore types can be inverted from the seismic elastic *** application results indicate that our method can obtain accurate physical properties consistent with logging data and ensure the reliability of characterization of pore type.

Poststro ke cognitive impairment is a major secondary effect of ischemic stroke in many patients;however,few options are available for the early diagnosis and treatment of this *** aims of this study were to(1)determine the specific relationship between hypoxic andα-synuclein during the occur of poststroke cognitive impairment and(2)assess whether the serum phosphorylatedα-synuclein level can be used as a biomarker for poststro ke cognitive *** found that the phosphorylatedα-synuclein level was significantly increased and showed pathological aggregation around the cerebral infa rct area in a mouse model of ischemic *** addition,neuronalα-synuclein phosphorylation and aggregation were observed in the brain tissue of mice subjected to chronic hypoxia,suggesting that hypoxia is the underlying cause ofα-synuclein-mediated pathology in the brains of mice with ischemic *** phosphorylatedα-synuclein levels in patients with ischemic stroke were significantly lower than those in healt hy subjects,and were positively correlated with cognition levels in patients with ischemic ***,a decrease in serum high-density lipoprotein levels in stroke patie nts was significantly correlated with a decrease in phosphorylatedα-synuclein *** ischemic stroke mice did not show significant cognitive impairment or disrupted lipid metabolism 14 days after injury,some of them exhibited decreased cognitive function and reduced phosphorylatedα-synuclein *** together,our results suggest that serum phosphorylatedα-synuclein is a potential biomarker for poststroke cognitive impairment.

选用环氧树脂改良黄土材料作为生物滞留池主要填料,试验设计了48种不同参数的原料配比,以有效改善湿陷性黄土的低渗透性为基准(大于2mm/min)筛选出满足要求的4种环氧树脂与黄土的配比方案,分别是环氧树脂含量5%(b5)、环氧树脂含量10%(b10)、5%环氧树脂+1%造孔剂(b5d1)和10%环氧树脂+1%造孔剂(b10d1).相比传统填料,4种改良材料均对NH_(4)^(+)-N和磷酸盐展现出了更强的吸附能力.其中b5d1用于生物滞留池填料后对NH_(4)^(+)-N和COD的平均去除效果最好,分别达到了93.97%和77.5%,b5能更有效的去除NO_(3)^(-)-N(76.6%)、TN(62.4%)和TP(98%).通过微生物分析可知b5含较多参与脱氮过程的菌群如Chloroflexi和Steroidobacter.改良黄土填料生物滞留池可以有效去除NH_(4)^(+)-N、NO_(3)^(-)-N、TN、TP和COD.研究表明,环氧树脂改良黄土可以用作生物滞留池填料,能够有效净化径流雨水中的污染物,具有广泛的推广价值.
