Effect of nano-SiC particles on the corrosion resistance of NiP-SiC composite coatings

NiP-SiC （≈1 1wt% P） composite coatings were electroplated in a Brenner type plating bath. The coatings had amorphous nano-phase composite structure. Direct current and alternating current electrochemical tests were carried out on such coatings in a 3.5wt% solution of NaCl to evaluate their corrosion resistance. The potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） tests, and exposure experiments all show that the corrosion resistance of NiP-SiC coatings first increases and then decreases when the SiC content increases, but the corrosion resistance of NiP-SiC composite coating is better than that of amorphous NiP coatings.

To prepare high wear resistance and high hardness coatings, electro-spark deposition was adopted for depositing an electrode of a mixture of 92wt%WC＋8wt%Co on a cast steel roll substrate. The coating was characterized by classical X-ray diffractometer （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM） with energy dispersive X-ray analysis （EDX）. The results indicate that the coating shows nanosized particulate structure and dendritic structure including columnar structure and equiaxed structure. The primary phases of the coating contain Fe3W3C, Co3W3C, Fe2C and Si2W. The coating has a low friction coefficient of 0.13, its average wear-resistance is 3.3 times that of the cast steel roll substrate and the main mechanism is abrasive wear. The maximum microhardness value of the coating is about 1573.9 Hv0.3. The study reveals that the electro-spark deposition process has the characteristic of better coating quality and the coating has higher wear resistance and hardness.

Objective To observe effects of medication use on small airway function,airway inflammation and acute exacerbations in patients with clinically controlled *** Forced expiratory flow over the middle half of the forced expiratory curve(FEF25%–75%),percentage of eosinophil,concentrations of eosinophil cationic protein(ECP)and interleukin(IL)-5 in induced sputum were assessed in patients with clinically controlled asthma who were given oral anti-inflammatory agents alone or in combination with inhaled therapy and inhaled therapy ***,acute exacerbations were compared between two groups during the 24-week follow-up *** FEF25%–75%in 43 patients with clinically controlled asthma given oral anti-inflammatory agents alone or in combination with inhaled therapy was significantly higher than that in 49 patients given inhaled therapy ***,the percentage of eosinophils and levels of IL-5 and ECP in patients with clinically controlled asthma given oral anti-inflammatory agents alone or in combination with inhaled therapy were significantly lower than those in patients given inhaled therapy ***,the patients with clinically controlled asthma given inhaled therapy were likely to have more acute exacerbation than the patients given oral anti-inflammatory agents alone or in combination with inhaled therapy during the 24-week follow-up *** Systemic anti-inflammatory agents may have a greater effect on parameters reflecting small airway patency and reducing acute exacerbations,presumably secondary to reduction in airway inflammation.

OBJECTIVE of using cold （CIN）. METHODS To evaluate the diagnostic and therapeutic efficacy knife conization for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia We retrospectively analyzed 186 cases with CIN diagnosed and treated in our hospital; compared the histologic diagnoses from cervical conization and from colposcopic multiple punch biopsies, and then evaluated their postoperative histologic findings and clinical outcomes. RESULTS Of the 186 cases, there was a correlation in histologic findings between cervical conization and colposcopic multiple punch biopsies in 138 cases （74.2%）, and there was no correlation in the other 48 cases （25.8%）. Incomplete excision was performed in 8 cases （4.3%）, but the failure rate was only 1.1%; the cure rate was 98.9%. Five cases with early invasive cancer were found. Eleven patients underwent subsequent hysterectomy. The main complications associated with conization were hemorrhage and cervical stenosis. Bleeding occurred in 8 （4.3%） of the patients, and cervical stenosis occurred in 3 （1.6%）. CONCLUSION Cervical intraepithelial neoplasia was diagnosed more accurately using conization than by colposcopic multiple punch biopsies. Conization can also play an important role in the treatment for CIN. If properly performed, the procedure has a low risk of complications. It can provide an accurate histologic representation of the disease process, and be curative in most cases.

Application of Inflammatory Markers in Induced Sputum in Stable Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Patients with Positive Bronchodilation Tests

Positive bronchodilation (BD) tests can be noticed in some stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) *** characteristics of airway inflammation in this entity remain *** study aimed to identify the characteristics of airway inflammation in stable COPD patients with positive BD *** airway inflammation was assessed in 88 patients with stable COPD using the examination of induced sputum in the aftermath of lung function and BD *** counts and the levels of molecular markers including eosinophil cationic protein (ECP),myeloperoxidase (MPO),interleukin-5 (IL-5),and IL-8 were assayed by Wright's stain,Immuno-CAP system,and ELISA,*** the 88 patients with stable COPD,20 (22.7%) showed positive BD *** values of eosinophils (4.7%±3.4%) and ECP (90.1±41.6 ng/mL) in induced sputum in stable COPD patients with positive BD tests were markedly elevated as compared with those in stable COPD patients with negative BD tests or in healthy controls (all P0.05).Moreover,the values of neutrophils (61.8%±15.1%),MPO (574.0±111.8 ng/mL),and IL-8 (32.6±13.4 ng/mL) in induced sputum in stable COPD patients with positive BD tests were significantly higher than those in asthmatics or normal controls (all P0.05).The stable COPD patients with positive BD tests may present not only eosinophilic airway inflammation but also neutrophilic airway inflammation.

With the rapid development of large-scale development of marginal oilfields in China,simple wellhead platforms that are simple in structure and easy to install have become an inevitable choice in the process of oilfield ***,traditional simple wellhead platforms are often discarded after a single *** pursuit of a more costeffective approach to developing marginal oilfields,this paper proposes a new offshore oil field development facility—an integrated bucket foundation for wellhead *** verify the safety of its towing behavior and obtain the dynamic response characteristics of the structure,this paper takes a bucket integrated bucket foundation for wellhead platform with a diameter of 40 m as the research *** combining physical model tests and numerical simulations,it analyzes the static stability and dynamic response characteristics of the structure during towing,complete with the effects of the draft,wave height,wave period,and towing point height,which produce the dynamic responses of the structure under different influence factors,such as roll angle,pitch angle,heave acceleration and towing force as well as the sensibility to transport *** results show that the integrated bucket foundation for wellhead platform is capable of self-floating towing,and its movement is affected by the local environment,which will provide a reference for actual projects.

Blunt Dissection： A Solution to Prevent Bile Duct Injury in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Background： Laparoscopic cholecystectomy （LC） has been a standard operation and replaced the open cholecystectomy （OC） rapidly because the technique resulted in less pain, smaller incision, and faster recovery. This study was to evaluate the value of blunt dissection in preventing bile duct injury （BDI） in laparoscopic cholecystectomy （LC）. Methods： From 2003 to 2015, LC was performed on 21,497 patients, 7470 males and 14,027 females, age 50.3 years （14-84 years）. The Calot＇s triangle was bluntly dissected and each duct in Calot＇s triangle was identified before transecting the cystic duct. Results： Two hundred and thirty-nine patients （1.1%） were converted to open procedures. The postoperative hospital stay was 2.1 （0-158） days, and cases （46%） had hospitalization days of 1 day or less, and 92.8% had hospitalization days of 3 days or less; BDI was occurred in 20 cases （0.09%） including 6 cases of common BDI, 2 cases of common hepatic duct injury, l case of fight hepatic duct injury, I case of accessory fight hepatic duct, 1 case of aberrant BDI l case ofbiliary stricture, 1 case ofbiliary duct perforation, 3 cases ofhemobilia, and 4 cases of bile leakage. Conclusion： Exposing Calot＇s triangle by blunt dissection in laparoscopic cholecystectomy could prevent intraoperative BD1.

Impact of psychosocial stress on airway inflammation and its mechanism in a mUrine model of allergic asthma

Background It has already been recognized that psychosocial stress evokes asthma exacerbation; however, the mechanism of how stress gets inside the body is not clear. This study aimed to observe the impact of psychosocial stress on airway inflammation and its mechanism in the ovalbumin-induced asthmatic mice combined with social disruption stress. Methods Thirty-six male BALB/c mice were randomly divided into： control group, asthma group （ovalbumin-induced）, asthma plus social disruption stress group （SDR）, and SDR group. The open field video tracking system was used to assess animal behaviors. The invasive pulmonary resistance （RL） and dynamic lung compliance （cdyn） test system from Buxco was applied to detect pulmonary function. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA） was utilized to determine OVA-IgE, T-helper type 2 （Th2） cytokines （IL-4, IL-5, IL-13） and corticosterone in mouse serum, the Th2 cytokines （IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, IL-6, TNF-a） in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid （BALF）, and IL-6 and TNF-a levels in the supernatant of splenocytes cultured in vitro. Hematoxylin-eosin （H＆E） staining was used to assess airway inflammation in lung histology. The cell count kit-8 assay （CCK-8） was applied to evaluate the inhibitory effect of corticosterone on splenocyte proliferation induced by lipopolysacchadde （LPS）. Real time-PCR and Western blotting were utilized to determine glucocorticoid receptor （GR） mRNA and GR protein expression in lungs. Results The open field test showed that combined allergen exposure and repeated stress significantly shortened the time the mice spent in the center of the open field （P 〈0.01）, increased ambulatory activity （P 〈0.01） and the count of fecal boli （P 〈0.01）, but deceased vertical activity （P 〈0.01）. Results from pulmonary function demonstrated that airway hyperresponsiveness （AHR） was enhanced by psychosocial stress compared with allergy exposure alone.
