Recently,an extreme narrowband spectral response of only 8 nm in electronic-grade diamond-based photodetectors has been observed by Zheng Wei and his colleagues from Sun Yat-sen University for the first time.A charge collection narrowing mechanism assisted by free exciton radiative recombination is proposed,which well reveals the characteristic spectral response of diamond.

Energy status is linked to the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)in macrophages,which is elevated in ***,it is unclear how ROS production is upregulated in macrophages in response to energy overload for mediating the development of ***,we show that the Rab-GTPase activating protein(Rab GAP)TBC1D1,a substrate of the energy sensor AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK),is a critical regulator of macrophage ROS production and consequent adipose inflammation for obesity ***1D1 deletion decreases,whereas an energy overload-mimetic non-phosphorylatable TBC1D1^(S231A)Amutation increases,ROS production and M1-like polarization in ***,TBC1D1 and its downstream target Rab8a form an energy-responsive complex with NOX2 for ROS *** of TBC1D1^(S231A)bone marrow aggravates diet-induced obesity whereas treatment with an ultra-stable Tt SOD for removal of ROS selectively in macrophages alleviates both TBC1D1~(S231A)mutation-and diet-induced *** findings therefore have implications for drug discovery to combat obesity.

Extreme events have become increasingly frequent worldwide which are reflected in diverse changes in the shape of the temperature probability density ***,few studies have paid attention to the heterogeneity of temperature at the scale of climate ***,we use the ERA5-land data set to explore interdecadal summer temperature changes and the distribution across different climate zones from 1981 to *** the minimum(Tmin)and maximum(Tmax)temperature of 1982–1991 and 2010–2019,the results imply that Tmin and Tmax in summer maintained a notable upward trend over the past 40 years,especially *** effects of a simple shift toward a warmer climate contributed most to all climate zones,while the standard deviation,skewness and kurtosis had minor effects on extreme temperature except for *** analysis shows that the probability of extreme events in all climate zones is increasing in frequency and intensity,especially Tmin and Tmax in temperate climate *** diverse reasons for climate change can assist us with taking different measures to address extreme climate in distinct climate zones.

Electrocatalytic water splitting coupled with sustainable energies is identified as an environmentally friendly and renewable strategy to generate high-quality hydrogen for the fuel ***,the main challenge is to develop high performance,low cost and chemically stable electrocatalysts to decline the energy barriers and enhance the sluggish kinetics of hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Herein,a three-dimensional hierarchically ordered macroporous Ru-CoP@NC electrocatalyst(3DOM Ru-CoP@NC)derived from ordered macro-microporous metal-organic frameworks has been prepared using the precursor@template and double-solvent *** prepared 3DOM Ru-CoP@NC catalyst exhibits an overpotential of 15 mV(j=10 mA·cm^(-2))and a reaction Tafel slope of 38 mV·dec^(-1)in alkaline electrolyte,which are superior to commercial Pt@C ***,the overpotential and reaction Tafel slope of this catalyst in acidic media are 45 mV and 50 mV·dec^(-1),*** outstanding HER activities of 3DOM Ru-CoP@NC catalysts are ascribed to the 3D highly interconnectedreticular nanospaces that can increase effective reaction active *** N dope d carbon framework improves the electronic properties and ***,the strong interaction of Ru and CoP nanoparticles also boosts the HER *** results indicate that 3DOM Ru-CoP@NC catalysts with high catalytic activities have a broad application prospect in the future.

Two-dimensional MoSe_(2) is a promising candidate for lithium-ion battery ***,its conductivity and lithium storage volumetric effect still need to be *** this work,W-doped MoSe_(2)/rGO paper-like microspheres are successfully prepared through ultrasonic spray pyrolysis,achieving optimization at both the microstructure and mesostructure to enhance the lithium storage performance of the ***,by utilizing the similar two-dimensional structure between MoSe_(2) and rGO,self-assembly is achieved through spray pyrolysis,resulting in a well-defined van der Waals heterostructure at the interface on the microscale,enhancing the electron and ion transfer capability of the ***,the mesoscale paper-like microsphere morphology provides additional volume expansion buffering ***,W-doping not only increases the interlayer spacing of MoSe_(2)(0.73 nm),thereby reducing the diffusion resistance of Li+,but also allow for the modulation of the energy band structure of the *** functional theory(DFT)calculations confirm that W-doped MoSe_(2)/rGO exhibits the narrowest bandgap(0.892 eV).Therefore,the composite demonstrates excellent lithium storage performance,maintaining a specific capacity of 732.9 mAh·g^(-1)after 300 cycles at a current density of 1 A·g^(-1).

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease（NAFLD） has emerged as a prominent global health concern associated with high risk of metabolic syndrome, and has impacted a substantial segment of the population. The disease spectrum ranges from simple fatty liver to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis（NASH）, which can progress to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma（HCC） and is increasingly becoming a prevalent indication for liver transplantation. The existing therapeutic options for NAFLD, NASH, and HCC are limited, underscoring the urgent need for innovative treatment strategies. Insights into gene expression, particularly RNA modifications such as N6methyladenosine（m6A）, hold promising avenues for interventions. These modifications play integral roles in RNA metabolism and cellular functions, encompassing the entire NAFLD-NASH-HCC progression. This review will encompass recent insights on diverse RNA modifications, including m6A, pseudouridine（Ψ）, N1-methyladenosine（m1A）, and 5-methylcytidine（m5C） across various RNA species. It will uncover their significance in crucial aspects such as steatosis, inflammation, fibrosis, and tumorigenesis. Furthermore, prospective research directions and therapeutic implications will be explored, advancing our comprehensive understanding of the intricate interconnected nature of these pathological conditions.

Luminescent organic radicals have garnered increasing attention owing to their versatile applications in sensing, imaging, and organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs), attributed to their unique emission properties originating from the doublet spin ***, the natural narrow bandgap of organic free radicals typically limits their emission to the long-wavelength *** luminescent organic radicals with short-wavelength emission remains a significant challenge. Herein, a series of carbon-centered radicals with short-wavelength emission(383–476 nm) by combining N-heterocyclic carbenes with various polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)(2-naphthyl, 2a~Ⅰ and 2b~Ⅰ;2-phenanthryl, 2a~Ⅱand 2b~Ⅱ;2-anthryl, 2a~Ⅲand 2b~Ⅲ;3-phenanthryl, 2a~Ⅳand 2b~Ⅳ). Theoretical calculations reveal that the introduction of PAHs significantly increases the ΔE_(D2-D1) in 2a^(Ⅰ–Ⅲ)and 2b^(Ⅰ–Ⅲ)compared to that in phenyl-derived radical congeners. Consequently, the internal transition from D2 to D1 is impeded, leading to a high yield of D2 emission and a suppressed Kasha's rule, thereby overcoming the limitations imposed by their narrow bandgap. For 2a~Ⅳ and 2b~Ⅳ, despite a moderately large ΔED2-D1value, the ΔED3-D1value exceeds 1 e V, indicating that their emission likely originates from the D3 state. Furthermore, we utilized 2a~Ⅲand 2b~Ⅲ as emissive materials in OLEDs,resulting in blue emissions with external quantum efficiencies of 7.5% and 6.5%, respectively.

Transforming liquid flow fuel cells to controllable reactors for highlyefficient oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural to 2, 5-furandicarboxylic acid at low temperature

Highly-efficient oxidation of 5-hydroxymethylfurtural(HMF) to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid(FDCA) at low temperature with air as the oxidant is still ***,inspired by the respirato ry electron transport chain(ETC) of living cells mediated by electron carriers,we constructed artificial ETCs and transformed liquid flow fuel cells(LFFCs) to flexible reactors for efficient oxidation of HMF to produce FDCA under mild *** LFFC reactor employed an electrodeposition modified nickel foam as an anode to promote HMF oxidation and(VO_(2))_(2)SO_(4) as a cathode electron carrier to facilitate the electron transfer to *** reaction rate could be easily controlled by selecting the anode catalyst,adjusting the external loading and changing the cathodic electron carrier or oxidants.A maximal power density of 44.9 mW cm^(-2) at room temperature was achieved,while for FDCA production,short-circuit condition was preferred to achieve quick transfer of *** a single batch operation with 0.1 M initial HMF,FDCA yield reached 97.1%.By fed-batch operation,FDCA concentration reached 144.5 g L^(-1) with a total yield of 96%.Ni^(2+)/Ni^(3+) redox couple was the active species mediating the electron transfer,while both experimental and DFT calculation results indicated that HMFCA pathway was the preferred reaction mechanism.
