Regulation of the quantum barrier and carrier transport toward high-efficiency quasi-2D Dion-Jacobson tin perovskite solar cells

Quasi-2D Dion-Jacobson(DJ)tin halide perovskite has attracted much attention due to its elimination of Van der Waals gap and enhanced environmental ***,the bulky organic spacers usually form a natural quantum well structure,which brings a large quantum barrier and poor film quality,further limiting the carrier transport and device ***,we designed three organic spacers with different chain lengths(ethylenediamine(EDA),1,3-propanediamine(PDA),and 1,4-butanediamine(BDA))to investigate the quantum barrier *** and experimental characterizations indicate that EDA with short chain can reduce the lattice distortion and dielectric confinement effect,which is beneficial to the effective dissociation of excitons and the inhibition of trap-free non-radiative *** addition,EDA cation shows strong interaction with the inorganic octahedron,realizing large aggregates in precursor solution and high-quality films with improved structural ***,femtosecond transient absorption proves that EDA cations can also weaken the formation of small n-phases with large quantum barrier to achieve effective carrier transport between different ***,the quasi-2D DJ(EDA)FA_(9)Sn_(10)I_(31)solar cells achieves a 7.07%power conversion efficiency with good environment ***,this work sheds light on the regulation of the quantum barrier and carrier transport through the chain length of organic spacer for qua si-2D DJ lead-free perovskites.

Influences of shale microstructure on mechanical properties and bedding fractures distribution

The difference in microstructure leads to the diversity of shale mechanical properties and bedding fractures distribution patterns. In this paper, the microstructure and mechanical properties of Longmaxi marine shale and Qingshankou continental shale were studied by X-ray diffractometer(XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope(FE-SEM) with mineral analysis system, and ***, the typical bedding layers area was properly stratified using Focused Ion Beam(FIB), and the effects of microstructure and mechanical properties on the distribution patterns of bedding fractures were analyzed. The results show that the Longmaxi marine shale sample contains more clay mineral grains, while the Qingshankou continental shale sample contains more hard brittle mineral grains such as feldspar. For Longmaxi marine shale sample, hard brittle minerals with grain sizes larger than 20 μm is18.24% and those with grain sizes smaller than 20 μm is 16.22%. For Qingshankou continental shale sample, hard brittle minerals with grain sizes larger than 20 μm is 40.7% and those with grain sizes smaller than 20 μm is 11.82%. In comparison to the Qingshankou continental shale sample, the Longmaxi marine shale sample has a lower modulus, hardness, and heterogeneity. Laminated shales are formed by alternating coarse-grained and fine-grained layers during deposition. The average single-layer thickness of Longmaxi marine shale sample is greater than Qingshankou continental shale sample. The two types of shale have similar bedding fractures distribution patterns and fractures tend to occur in the transition zone from coarse-grained to fine-grained deposition. The orientation of the fracture is usually parallel to the bedding plane and detour occurs in the presence of hard brittle grains. The fracture distribution density of the Longmaxi marine shale sample is lower than that of the Qingshankou continental shale sample due to the strong heterogeneity of the Qingshankou contine

Prediction model for the initial seed clearing angles of a precision seed meter based on vector fields

Seed clearing is a critical stage during precision seed metering process to ensure high seed singulation. However, there is a lack of understanding of the dynamics in the seed clearing process. In this study, a model was developed to predict initial seed clearing angle, in the seed clearing process using vector fields. The model was applied to an existing high-speed metering device and soybean seeds, and the model was evaluated with bench testing results. Results showed that dynamic changes in forces and constraints of seeds during the seed clearing process could be abstracted as vectors, and the changes of vector directions could be described by their phase angles. The phase angles were functions of the rotational angle of the seed meter. The phase angle of the constraint boundary linearly increases with the increase of the rotational angle. The phase angle of the force fluctuates, as the rotational angle changes. Initial seed clearing angle obtained from the phase angles varies from 8 degrees to 59 degrees, depending on the seeder travel speed. When comparing the values of the initial seed clearing angles predicted by the model with those from the bench tests, the root mean square error (RMSE) were from 2.73 to 3.14, and the correlation (r) between predict and observer were all higher than 0.98, indicating that the model had reasonably good accuracy.

Effect of Guanxin Danshen Dripping Pills on Coronary Heart Disease Comorbid with Depression or Anxiety: The ADECODE-Real World Study

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Guanxin Danshen Dripping Pill(GXDSDP) in treating anxiety and depression in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD). Methods: A total of 1,428 patients diagnosed with CHD screened for anxiety, depression, and quality of life(QOL) at baseline received 0.4 g of GXDSDP treatment 3 times per day and returned for monthly reassessment. Patients were recruited after stable treatment for CHD and received assessment of General Anxiety Disorder-7(GAD-7), Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9), and Seattle Angina Questionnaire(SAQ) for evaluating anxiety, depression, and *** were followed up 3 times, once every 4 weeks, during outpatient visits for 12 weeks. Results: At the third follow-up(F3), the anxiety symptom of 63.79%(673/1,055) of the patients improved to sub-clinical level, and the GAD-7 score improved significantly(8.11 vs. 3.87, P<0.01);57.52%(585/1,017) patients' depressive symptoms improved to sub-clinical level, with a significant improvement in PHQ-9 score(8.69 vs. 4.41, P<0.01) at F3. All aspects of QOL significantly improved at the end of treatment compared to those at baseline(all P<0.01) as assessed by SAQ: physical limitation(31.17 vs. 34.14), anginal stability(2.74 vs. 4.14), anginal frequency(8.16vs. 9.10), treatment satisfaction(13.43 vs. 16.29), and disease perception(8.69 vs. 11.02). Conclusions: A fixed dosage of GXDSDP may be a potential treatment option for CHD patients comorbid with anxiety or depression.(Registration No. ChiCTR2100051523)

The detrimental“shuttle effect”of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)together with sluggish multi-order reaction kinetics are the main drawbacks hindering lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries from commercial ***,we first propose the implementability of layered rare-earth hydroxides(LREHs)in Li-S batteries to optimize electrochemical *** this work,a two-dimensional(2D)rare-earth-based composite constructed by the layered gadolinium hydroxy chloride[Gd_(2)(OH)_(5)(H_(2)O)_(n)]Cl nanoplates(LGdH NPs)and graphene oxide(GO)was designed as a sulfur immobilizer for Li-S *** the experimental results and density functional theory(DFT)calculations,it is revealed that the LGdH@GO composite not only provides a strong anchoring of the intermediates during cycling,but also acts as an effective catalyst to accelerate the liquid-solid conversion of *** Li-S batteries assembled by LGdH@GO modified separators delivered a superior rate performance with a specific capacity of 605.34 mAh/g at 5 C,as well as excellent cycle stability with a decay rate of 0.087%over 500 cycles at 2 *** study provided a deep understanding of the mechanism to suppress the“shuttle effect”by the LREHs,and a guide to design effective functional interlayers for high-performance Li-S batteries with excellent electrocatalytic activity.

Very high-energy electrons(VHEEs)are potential candidates for FLASH radiotherapy for deep-seated *** proposed a compact VHEE facility based on an X-band high-gradient high-power *** this study,we investigated and realized the first X-band backward traveling-wave(BTW)accelerating structure as the buncher for a VHEE facility.A method for calculating the parameters of single cell from the field distribution was introduced to simplify the design of the BTW ***-domain circuit equations were applied to calculate the transient beam parameters of the buncher in the unsteady state.A prototype of the BTW structure with a thermionic cathode-diode electron gun was designed,fabricated,and tested at high power at the Tsinghua X-band high-power test *** structure successfully operated with 5-MW microwave pulses from the pulse compressor and outputted electron bunches with an energy of 8 MeV and a pulsed current of 108 mA.

A hybrid machine learning optimization algorithm for multivariable pore pressure prediction

Bioprinting of inorganic-biomaterial/neural-stem-cell constructs for multiple tissue regeneration and functional recovery

Tissue regeneration is a complicated process that relies on the coordinated effort of the nervous, vascular and immune systems. While the nervous system plays a crucial role in tissue regeneration, current tissue engineering approaches mainly focus on restoring the function of injury-related cells, neglecting the guidance provided by nerves. This has led to unsatisfactory therapeutic outcomes. Herein, we propose a new generation of engineered neural constructs from the perspective of neural induction, which offers a versatile platform for promoting multiple tissue regeneration. Specifically, neural constructs consist of inorganic biomaterials and neural stem cells(NSCs), where the inorganic biomaterials endows NSCs with enhanced biological activities including proliferation and neural differentiation. Through animal experiments, we show the effectiveness of neural constructs in repairing central nervous system injuries with function recovery. More importantly, neural constructs also stimulate osteogenesis, angiogenesis and neuromuscular junction formation, thus promoting the regeneration of bone and skeletal muscle, exhibiting its versatile therapeutic performance. These findings suggest that the inorganic-biomaterial/NSC-based neural platform represents a promising avenue for inducing the regeneration and function recovery of varying tissues and organs.
