BACKGROUND Hepatobiliary and pancreatic(HBP)cancers impose a considerable burden on young populations(aged 15 to 49 years),resulting in a substantial number of new cases and fatalities each *** young populations,the HBP cancers shows extensive variance worldwide and the updated data in China is *** To investigate the current status,trends,projections,and underlying risk factors of HBP cancers among young populations in *** The Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 provided data on the annual incidence,mortality,disability-adjusted life years(DALYs),age-standardized incidence rate(ASIR),mortality rate(ASMR),and DALYs rate(ASDR)of HBP cancers in young Chinese adults between 1990 and *** trends were assessed using estimated annual percentage change and hierarchical ***-specific mortality and DALYs caused by various risks were analyzed across China and other regions,with future trends until 2035 projected using the Bayesian age-period-cohort *** From 1990 to 2019,incident cases,deaths,DALYs,ASIR,ASMR,and ASDR for liver cancer(LC)in young Chinese individuals decreased,classified into'significant decrease'***,cases of gallbladder and biliary tract cancer and pancreatic cancer rose,categorized as either'significant increase'or'minor increase'*** contribution of risk factors to mortality and DALYs for HBP tumors increased to varying *** lifestyle behaviors,such as tobacco control,weight management,alcohol moderation,and drug avoidance,could lower HBP cancers ***,except for LC in females,which is likely to initially decline slightly and then rise,the forecasting model predicted that the ASIR and ASMR for all HPB cancers subtypes by gender will increase among young *** HBP cancers burden among young adults in China is expected to increase until 2035,necessitating lifestyle interventions and targeted treatment strategies to mitigate the public health impact of these

Drag reduction and flow structures of wing tip sails in ground effect

The hydrodynamics and flow structures of a base wing slotted with tip sails in proximity to the ground were studied experimentally in order to investigate the flow control efficiency of wing tip sails in ground *** experiment was conducted in a towing tank at a Reynolds number 1.5×10^*** lift and drag forces were measured by a transducer,the velocity fields of the wing tip vortices were measured using a time-resolved particle image velocimetry system(TR-PIV).The tip-sails and ground clearance were both effective in reducing the total drag,the lift coefficients of the tip-sails wings were increased as compared with that of a base *** lift-drag ratios of the tip-sails wings were improved obviously in a range of angles of attack from 2°to stalling *** tip-sails played more important role in unwinding the concentrated wing tip vortices at higher angle of attack,the intensity of the tip vortices were much weaker than that of the base *** development of the wing tip vortices was suppressed as well due to the inhibition of the ground,the downwash speed was reduced and the induced drag was decreased.

Blindness-free beam scanning antenna with array of array architecture: principle,design,and experiment

This paper presents a 66–76-GHz sparsely-excited phased array antenna with the array of array(Ao A) architecture for eliminating the blindness and suppressing the grating lobe when scanning. For the array antennas printed on the thick dielectric layers with high relative permittivity, scanning blindness appears and seriously impacts the radiation performance. To address this issue, the Ao A topology is developed first. It finds that the scanning blindness appears due to the coupling of the radiating Floquet modes to the non-radiating surface wave(SW) modes. Therefore, the array is divided into two types of domino *** inner-phase distributions are introduced into the domino subarrays to break the one-to-one relationship between the Floquet mode and the SW mode. Then, the blindness inside ±60° scanning volume is eliminated by the aperiodic subarrays. Meanwhile, the aperiodic inner-phase distributions enhance the aperiodicity of the array and contribute to suppressing the grating lobe when scanning. Next, the meta-surface-based dipole with the shorted post is chosen as the unit cell for the proposed aperiodic array. Based on these methods,the array achieves the wide-scanning performance of ±60° in the E-plane and ±30° in the H-plane, without the blindness and the grating lobe. Finally, the 16×16 array is built and simulated with the dimension of32 mm × 32 mm. At the highest operating frequency, the simulated gains are 28.42, 25.17, and 24.01 d Bi when scanning to the broadside, 50° in the E-plane, and 30° in the H-plane, respectively. Compared to the ideal gain, it shows that the simulated radiation efficiency is about 84.13%, 62.08%, and 35.23% when scanning to the broadside, 50° in the E-plane, and 30° in the H-plane, respectively. Background:The optimal width of resection margin(RM)for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)remains *** study aimed to investigate the value of imaging tumor capsule(ITC)and imaging tu-mor size(ITS)in guiding RM width for patients with ***:Patients who underwent hepatectomy for HCC in our center were retrospectively ***(complete/incomplete)and ITS(≤3 cm/>3 cm)were assessed by preoperative magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Using subgroup analyses based on ITC and ITS,the impact of RM width[narrow RM(3 cm and complete ITC,the narrow RM group exhibited comparable RFS,OS,and incidence of RM recurrence with the wide RM group(P=0.606,0.916,and 0.649,respectively).However,in patients with ITS>3 cm and incomplete ITC,the wide RM group showed better RFS and OS and a lower incidence of RM recurrence compared with the narrow RM group(P=0.037,0.018,and 0.046,respectively).Conclusions:As MRI-based preoperative markers,conjoint analysis of ITC with ITS aids in determining RM width for solitary HCC *** RM is applicable in patients with ITS≤3 cm regardless of ITC status and in those with ITS>3 cm and complete *** RM is preferred in those with ITS>3 cm and incomplete ITC.

Quantifying the Temporal and Spatial Spread of COVID-19:Empirical Evidence from Shanghai

The worldwide spread of COVID-19 has caused a grave threat to human life, health, and socio-economic development. It is of great significance to study the transmission mechanism of COVID-19 and evaluate the effect of epidemic prevention policies. This paper employs a spatial dynamic panel data(SDPD) model to analyze the temporal and spatial spread of COVID-19, incorporating the time-varying features of epidemic transmission and the impact of geographic *** studies on the COVID-19 outbreak in Shanghai during early 2022 show that the intra-regional transmission of COVID-19 dominated the cross-regional one. Additionally, strict policies are found to effectively reduce the transmission risk of COVID-19 and curb the spillover effect of the epidemic in Shanghai on other regions. Based on these results, we provide three policy suggestions. Furthermore,this research methodology can be extended to investigate other infectious diseases, thereby providing a scientific framework and theoretical basis for evaluating the spread risk of pandemics and formulating appropriate strategies.

Organic compounds have the advantages of green sustainability and high designability,but their high solubility leads to poor durability of zinc-organic ***,a high-performance quinone-based polymer(H-PNADBQ)material is designed by introducing an intramolecular hydrogen bonding(HB)*** intramolecular HB(C=O⋯N-H)is formed in the reaction of 1,4-benzoquinone and 1,5-naphthalene diamine,which efficiently reduces the H-PNADBQ solubility and enhances its charge transfer in *** situ ultraviolet-visible analysis further reveals the insolubility of H-PNADBQ during the electrochemical cycles,enabling high durability at different current ***,the H-PNADBQ electrode with high loading(10 mg cm^(-2))performs a long cycling life at 125 mA g^(-1)(>290 cycles).The H-PNADBQ also shows high rate capability(137.1 mAh g^(−1)at 25 A g^(−1))due to significantly improved kinetics inducted by intramolecular *** work provides an efficient approach toward insoluble organic electrode materials.

The present paper is devoted to the well-posedness issue for the 3D incompressible Hall-MHD system obtained from kinetic models. Our analysis strongly relies on the use of the Fourier analysis. We establish the global existence of smooth solutions for a class of large initial data, this result implies the initial velocity and magnetic field can be arbitrarily large.

Engineering Strategies for Suppressing the Shuttle Effect in Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

Lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries are supposed to be one of the most potential next-generation batteries owing to their high theoretical capacity and low ***,the shuttle effect of firm multi-step two-electron reaction between sulfur and lithium in liquid electrolyte makes the capacity much smaller than the theoretical *** methods were proposed for inhibiting the shuttle effect of polysulfide,improving corresponding redox kinetics and enhancing the integral performance of Li–S ***,we will comprehensively and systematically summarize the strategies for inhibiting the shuttle effect from all components of Li–S ***,the electrochemical principles/mechanism and origin of the shuttle effect are described in ***,the efficient strategies,including boosting the sulfur conversion rate of sulfur,confining sulfur or lithium polysulfides(LPS)within cathode host,confining LPS in the shield layer,and preventing LPS from contacting the anode,will be discussed to suppress the shuttle ***,recent advances in inhibition of shuttle effect in cathode,electrolyte,separator,and anode with the aforementioned strategies have been summarized to direct the further design of efficient materials for Li–S ***,we present prospects for inhibition of the LPS shuttle and potential development directions in Li–S batteries.

FeNi Prussian blue analogues on highly graphitized carbon nanosheets as efficient glucose sensors

Meeting the continuous glucose monitoring requirements of individuals necessitates the research and development of sensors with high sensitivity and *** this study,a straightforward strategy was proposed for synthesizing ultra-thin oxygen-rich graphitized carbon nanosheets(denoted as GCS-O).These nanosheets are obtained by calcining a topologically two-dimensional indium-based coordination ***,the growth of FeNi Prussian blue analogue(PBA)on GCS-O effectively introduces active sites and increases the nitrogen content within the carbonaceous *** resulting FeNi-PBA/GCS-O composite exhibits excellent glucose sensing performance with a broad linear range of 1 to 1300μmol·L^(-1).Meanwhile,it also achieves a high sensitivity of 2496μA·mmol^(-1)·L·cm^(-2),a limit of detection of 100nmol·L^(-1)(S/N=3),and commendable long-term *** relatively simple synthesis process,exceptional sensitivity,and satisfactory electrochemical sensing performance of FeNi-PBA/GCS-O open up new directions for biosensor applications.
