AIM： To compare the efficacy and side effect profiles of three furazolidone and amoxicillin-based quadruple rescue therapies for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori （H pylonS. METHODS： Patients who failed in the Hpylori eradication therapy for at least one course were randomly allocated into three groups. Group A received rebaprazole 10 mg＋ amoxicillin 1 g ＋ furazolidone 100 mg, and bismuth subcitrate 220 mg, twice daily for 1 wk; group B received the same regimen of group A but for 2 wk; and group C received the same regimen of group B, but furazolidone was replaced by furazolidone 100 mg three times daily. To record the side effect profiles at the end of the treatment, Hpylori eradication was assessed with 13C-urea breath test 4 wk after therapy. RESULTS： Sixty patients were enrolled including 28 males, and 20 patients in each group. The average age of the patients was 49.2 years, ranging from 18 to 84 years. H pylori eradication rates with per-protocol analysis were 82%, 89% and 90% in the three groups, respectively. Side effects were found in 11 patients, including mild dizziness, nausea, diarrhea and increased bowel movement. None of the 11 patients needed treatment for their side effects. CONCLUSION： One- or two-week furazolidone and amoxicillin-based quadruple rescue therapy with a low dose furazolidone （100 mg bid） for the eradication of Hpylori is effective. Extending the antibiotic course to 14 d could improve the eradication rates.

RNA modifications have been involved in numerous biological processes, and aberrations of these modifications are tightly associated with various diseases including cancer. Herein, we developed graphenebased solid-phase extraction and robust ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-MS/MS) combined with stable isotope-dilution for simultaneous enrichment and accurate determination of 17 modified nucleosides in human urine. We found graphene could effectively adsorb various modified nucleosides in human urine samples. With this method, we identified and quantified these modified nucleosides in urine samples collected from lung cancer patients and healthy *** revealed that the levels of 12 modified nucleosides were all diminished in urine from lung cancer patients, compared with healthy controls. It is worth noting that we demonstrated, for the first time, the presence of 5,2-O-dimethyluridine(m~5U_m) in human urine. Together, we established a robust analytical method for simultaneous determinations of 17 modified nucleosides in human urine, and our results revealed a close correlation between the concentrations of urinary modified nucleosides and the occurrence of lung cancer, implying the potential applications of these modified nucleosides as noninvasive biomarkers for the early detection of lung cancer. Moreover, this study will stimulate future investigations on the regulatory roles of RNA modifications in the initiation and progression of lung cancer.

Chronic prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CP/CPPS),also known as National Institutes of Health(NIH)type Ⅲ prostatitis,is a common disorder with an unclear etiology and no known curative *** on the presence or absence of leukocytes in expressed prostatic secretion(EPS),CP/CPPS is classifiedfurther into Illa(inflammatory)and Illb(noninflammatory)***,the severity of symptoms is not entirely consistent with the white blood cell(WBC)*** the preliminary finding of a link between inflammatory cytokines and CP/CPPS,we performed this clinical study with the aim of identifying cytokines that are differentially expressed according to whether the prostatitis subtype is Ⅲa or Ⅲ*** found that granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF),interleukin-18(IL-18),and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)levels were significantly elevated and interferon-inducible protein-10(IP-10)and platelet-derived growth factor-BB(PDGF-BB)levels were downregulated in the EPS of patients with type Ⅲa *** a word,it is a meaningful study in which we investigate the levels of various cytokines in EPS according to whether prostatitis is the Ⅲa or Ⅲb *** combination of G-CSF,IL-18,MCP-1,IP-10,and PDGF-BB expression levels could form a basis for classification,diagnosis,and therapeutic targets in clinical P/CPPS.

Based on the practical research of consumers groups of college students, this paper analyzes the affecting factors on consumers＇ satisfaction among groups of college students, and also tests the affecting factors. Thus, the authors give their proposals on how to build the consumer online platforms in colleges and universities, and the prospects forecast on the campus online market.

Adhesively Bonded Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic(CFRP)and titanium alloy have been extensively used as a hybrid structure in modern aircrafts due to their excellent combination of mechanical properties and chemical *** study utilised NaOH anodising method to create micro-rough titanium surfaces for enhancing adhesive bonding between titanium alloy and CFRP laminates.A special and simple technique named Resin Pre-Coating(RPC)was also employed to improve the surface wetting of anodised titanium and grinded CFRP *** influences of anodising temperature and duration on the surface morphology,wettability and adhesive bond strength were *** single lap shear test results showed that the bond strength of specimens anodised at 20℃for 15 min improved by 135.9%and 95.4%,respectively,in comparison with that of acid pickled and grinded specimens(without RPC treatment).Although increasing the anodising temperature and duration produced rougher titanium surfaces,the adhesively bonded joints were not strong enough due to relatively friable titanium oxide layers.

Oxide ceramic coatings were fabricated on tantalum alloys by micro-arc oxidation (MAO) to improve their hardness and tribological properties. The MAO coatings were manufactured in a mixed silicatephosphate electrolyte containing NaF and/or EDTA (ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid). The surface morphology,cross-sectional view, chemical composition, hardness, and wear performance of the coatings were analysed. As revealed by the scanning electron microscopy, silica-rich nodules appear on the MAO coating obtained in the silicate-phosphate electrolyte, but the formation of nodules is inhibited with NaF and/or EDTA in the ***, they reduce the roughness and improve the compactness of the coatings, which are composed of Ta_(2)O_(5),(Ta, O), and TaO. A thick and hard coating is obtained in the NaF-containing electrolyte, and the tribology performance is effectively improved. With additives, the nodule structure is detached from the coating surface and dissolved in the electrolyte. By using NaF as an electrolyte additive, the abrasion performance of the MAO coating is enhanced by decreasing the nodule structure, increasing the size of micropores, and improving the coating hardness.

Formation of Superthin Galaxies in IllustrisTNG

Superthin galaxies are observed to have stellar disks with extremely small minor-to-major axis *** this work,we investigate the formation of superthin galaxies in the TNG100 *** trace the merger history and investigate the evolution of galaxy properties of a selected sample of superthin galaxies and a control sample of galaxies that share the same joint probability distribution in the stellar-mass and color *** making comparisons between the two galaxy samples,we find that present-day superthin galaxies had similar morphologies as the control sample counterparts at higher redshifts,but have developed extended flat“superthin”morphologies since z~*** this latter evolution stage,superthin galaxies undergo an overwhelmingly higher frequency of prograde mergers(with orbit-spin angleθ_(orb)≤40°).Accordingly the spins of their dark matter halos have grown significantly and become noticeably higher than those of their normal disk *** further results in the buildup of their stellar disks at larger distances much beyond the regimes of normal disk *** also discuss the formation scenario of those superthin galaxies that live in larger dark matter halos as satellite galaxies therein.
