Effect of solution treatment on microstructure and hardness of rheo-forming AZ91-Y alloy

The microstructure and hardness of rheo-forming AZ91-Y alloy before and after solution treatment(ST)have been investigated by means of optical microscope(OM),scanning electron microscope(SEM)equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and *** experimental results showed that theβ-Mg17Al12 phase of alloy was nearly dissolved after ST for 5 *** the increasing of ST duration to 28 h,both the primary and secondarily solidifiedα-Mg grains faded *** the same time,the alloy exhibited a much smoother surface due to the diffusion of solute atoms(Al).During ST,the thermal stable phase of Al2 Y produced by ultrasonic vibration retained its size and *** the ST duration was increased,the alloy hardness decreased sharply at first,and then gradually reached a minimum *** alloy's appropriate ST duration at 410°C was approximately 28 h.

The study of psychological health state is helpful to build appropriate models and take effective intervention strategies, and the results benefit the intervened released from psychological distress within the shortest possible time. In this paper, interval type-2 fuzzy sets and fuzzy comprehension evaluation are applied in the analysis of mental health status and crisis intervention. A closed-loop linguistic dynamic intervention model for psychological health state is built. Linguistic dynamic systems based on interval type-2 fuzzy sets are used to describe and analyze the evolutionary process of psychological health status. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation.

Native animals are facing long-term coexistence with invasive plants worldwide,the impacts of which on animal behavior remain poorly *** ecological traps could threaten native birds breeding in invasive plant habitats,but behavioral strategies for birds to avoid such risks are few *** invasion of Smooth Cordgrass(Spartina alterniflra) has seriously varied the vegetation landscape in the coastal wetlands of eastern China,and affected the habitat selection of native ***,we investigated the nesting and breeding characteristics of a common native passerine,the Vinous-throated Parrotbill(Sinosuthora webbiana),in habitats dominated by native Common Reed(Phragmites australis) and exotic *** found that parrotbills could complete their breeding cycle in cordgrass *** nest failure was attributed to predation in native habitat but tide inundation in cordgrass ***,the nest success rate and daily survival rate(DSR) in cordgrass habitat were ***,nest height was markedly higher in cordgrass habitat and was the most important influencing variable(positively correlated with the DSR).These results suggest that cordgrass habitat is a potential ecological trap due to the tide inundation,but some parrotbills seem to effectively avoid this risk by increasing nest *** study reveals that a native passerine changes its nesting behavior to accommodate invasive plant habitat and highlights that habitat changes caused by invasive plants may drive the adaptive evolution of native animal *** limitation of these results must be acknowledged for the small sample size,and there is a need for a larger sample and long-term data for further verification.

15Cr ferrite steels are urgently required in advanced Ultra-supercritical power plants but meet design challenges in balancing excellent strength and plasticity at high *** developed a three-step learning strategy based on mutually driven machine learning and purposeful experiments to complete this multi-objective *** with traditional adaptive learning and local-interpolation learning,this step-by-step modular manner provides good transparency and interpretability of the information flow,which is ensured by identifying essential factors from an exquisitely prepared composition-microstructure dataset,and learning valuable knowledge about the composition-property *** requirement of only two groups of experiments indicates the low cost and high efficiency of the *** the strategy,we found that Ti is another key element affecting the Laves phase besides Mo and W,and their effects on ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and elongation were also ***,several low-cost steels free of Co were successfully designed,and the best steel exhibited 156%,31%,and 62%higher UTS and elongation at 650°C than the typical 9Cr,15Cr,and 20Cr steels,*** on the advantages and success of the strategy in terms of alloy improvement,we believe the strategy suits other multi-objective design tasks in more materials systems.

Duplex stainless steel UNS S31803 samples were cross-rolled with a true strain of ε = 2 followed by annealing at 1323 K for 2 min and 240 min, respectively. The distributions of intervariant boundary planes in the precipitated austenite（A） from ferrite（F） and phase boundary planes conforming to Kurdjumov-Sache（K-S） orientation relationship（OR） were characterized by electron backscatter diffraction（EBSD） and the five-para me ter analysis（FPA） method, respectively. The intervariant boundary planes with misorientation angle of 60° around 〈111 〉 and 〈011 〉 occur frequently and tend to terminate on the {111} plane. At the grain size level of 4 μm, the phase boundary appears to be connected with the K-S OR terminating on{110}F ｜｜ {111}A at the early stage of annealing. When the grain size reaches approximately 20 μm, phase boundary was modified into {541}F｜｜{533}A due to twinning in austenite during annealing.

The fast blue optical transients(FBOTs)are a new population of extragalactic transients of unclear physical origin.A variety of mechanisms has been proposed including failed supernova explosion,shock interaction with a dense medium,young magnetar,accretion onto a compact object and stellar tidal disruption event,but none is *** we report the discovery of a possible X-ray quasi-periodicity signal with a period of~250 s(at a significance level of 99.76%)in the brightest FBOT AT2018cow through the analysis of XMM-Newton/PN *** signal is independently detected at the same frequency in the average power density spectrum from data taken from the Swift telescope,with observations covering from 6 to 37 days after the optical discovery,though the significance level is lower(94.26%).This suggests that the quasi-periodic oscillation(QPO)frequency may be stable over at least 1.1×10^(4)*** the~250 s QPO to be a scaled-down analog of that typically seen in stellar mass black holes,a black hole mass of~103–10^(5)solar masses could be *** overall X-ray luminosity evolution could be modeled with a stellar tidal disruption by a black hole of~10^(4)solar masses,providing a viable mechanism to produce *** findings suggest that other bright FBOTs may also harbor intermediate-mass black holes.
