Linguistic dynamic systems （LDS） are the systems based on computing with words （CW） instead of computing with numbers or symbols. In this paper, LDS are divided into two types： type-I LDS being converted from conventional dynamical systems （CDS） by using extension principle and type-II LDS by using fuzzy logic rules. For type-I LDS, the method of endograph is provided to discuss the stabilities of type-I LDS and two cases of stabilities of logistic mappings： one is the states being abstracted and the other is parameters also being abstracted. For type-Ⅱ LDS, the method of degree of match is used to discuss the dynamical behavior of arbitrary initial words under fuzzy rule.

In this paper, interval type-2 fuzzy sets, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and the fuzzy control rules are synthesized to realize the control of unmanned vehicle in driving state and behavioral decisions. Compared to the type-1 fuzzy set, type-2 fuzzy sets have more advantages in handling the model based on uncertainties, linguistic information because the membership functions are fuzzy sets. Different membership functions are established for each factor when the unmanned vehicle is driving at different speed intervals. In addition, a new evaluation method is developed to analyze unmanned vehicle’s driving state. Finally, a set of dynamic fuzzy rules are sorted out, which can be applied to the unmanned vehicle’s behavioral decision-making and provide a new idea to related research.

Intelligent vehicles can effectively improve traffic congestion and road traffic *** cruise followingcontrol(ACFC)is a vital part of intelligent *** this paper,a new hierarchical vehicle-following control strategy is presented by synthesizing the variable time headway model,type-2 fuzzy control,feedforward+fuzzy proportion integration(PI)feedback(F+FPIF)control,and inverse longitudinal dynamics model of ***,a traditional variable time headway model is improved considering the acceleration of the lead ***,an interval type-2 fuzzy logic controller(IT2 FLC)is designed for the upper structure of the ACFC system to simulate the driver's operating *** reduce the nonlinear influence and improve the tracking accuracy for the desired acceleration,the control strategy of F+FPIF is given for the lower control ***,the lower control method proposed in this paper is compared with the fuzzy PI control and the traditional method(no lower controller for tracking desired acceleration)***,the proportion integration differentiation(PID),linear quadratic regulator(LQR),subsection function control(SFC)and type-1 fuzzy logic control(T1 FLC)are respectively compared with the IT2 FLC in control performance under different ***,the simulation results show the effectiveness of IT2 FLC for the upper structure and F+FPIF control for the lower structure.

Arsenic-vanadium polyoxometalates（POMs） represent a family of tremendous potential catalysts owing to their peculiar physical and chemical *** in CO2conversion,using POMs to catalyze the conversion of CO2and epoxide into chemical intermediates is the research ***,A new family number of arsenic-vanadium POMs,[N（CH3）4]4[As8V12O38（H2O）]·2H2O({As8V12O38}),was reported and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,*** from other allotropicity,{As8V12O38}shows a different structure pattern with an I-43d *** obtained {As8V12O38} was employed as a catalyst for the *** initial catalytic reaction confirmed that {As8V12O38} can catalyze the formation of epoxy carbonate by using 1.01 kPa CO2and epoxide at 70℃.Furtherly,when added amine in the catalytic system,oxazolidinone could be obtained by high yields,which provides an efficient way to convert CO2into profitable ***,a possible catalytic reaction mechanism was proposed by using different characterization analyses.{As8V12O38} first catalyzes the epoxide and CO2to form an epoxy carbonate and then catalyzes epoxy carbonate and benzylamine into oxazolidinone.

Surfactant-enhanced remediation （SER） is an effective method for the removal of volatile organic compounds （VOCs） from contaminated soils and *** reuse the surfactant the VOCs must be separated from the surfactant *** water solubility of VOCs can be enhanced using reversible surfactants with a redox-acive group,（ferrocenylmethyl）dodecyldimethylammonium bromide （Fc12） and （ferrocenylmethyl）tetradecanedimethylammonium bromide （Fc14）,above and below their critical micelle concentrations （CMC） under reducing （I ＋） and oxidative （I 2＋） *** CMC values of Fc12 and Fc14 in I ＋ are 0.94 and 0.56 mmol/L and the solubilization of toluene by Fc12 and Fc14 in I ＋ for toluene is higher than the solubilization achieved with sodium dodecyl sulfate,cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and Trition *** solubilization capacity of the ferrocenyl surfactants for each tested VOCs ranked as follows： ethylbenzene toluene *** solubilities of VOCs by reversible surfactant in I ＋ were 30% higher than those in I 2＋ at comparable surfactant *** effects of Fc14 concentrations on VOCs removal efficiency were as follows： benzene toluene ***,an improved removal efficiency was achieved at low ferrocenyl surfactant ***,the reversible surfactant could be recycled through chemical approaches to remove organic pollutants,which could significantly reduce the operating costs of SER technology.

A constrained multi-objective biogeography-based optimization algorithm （CMBOA） was proposed to solve robot path planning （RPP）. For RPP, the length and smoothness of path were taken as the optimization objectives, and the distance from the obstacles was constraint. In CMBOA, a new migration operator with disturbance factor was designed and applied to the feasible population to generate many more non-dominated feasible individuals; meanwhile, some infeasible individuals nearby feasible region were recombined with the nearest feasible ones to approach the feasibility. Compared with classical multi-objective evolutionary algorithms, the current study indicates that CM- BOA has better performance for RPP.

The study of psychological health state is helpful to build appropriate models and take effective intervention strategies, and the results benefit the intervened released from psychological distress within the shortest possible time. In this paper, interval type-2 fuzzy sets and fuzzy comprehension evaluation are applied in the analysis of mental health status and crisis intervention. A closed-loop linguistic dynamic intervention model for psychological health state is built. Linguistic dynamic systems based on interval type-2 fuzzy sets are used to describe and analyze the evolutionary process of psychological health status. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation.

This paper considers a problem of optimal preventive maintenance and replacement schedule of equipment devoted to extracting resources from known deposits. Typical examples are oil drills, mine shovels, etc. At most one replacement of the existing machinery by a new one is allowed. The problem is formulated as an optimal control problem subject to the state constraint that the remaining deposit at any given time is nonnegative. We show that the optimal preventive maintenance, production rates, and the replacement and salvage times of the existing machinery and the new one, if required, can be obtained by solving sequentially a series of free-end-point optimal control problems. moreover, an algorithm based on this result is developed and used to solve two illustrative examples.

Parameter Estimation of RBF-AR model Based on the EM-EKF Algorithm

RBF-AR (radial basis function network-based autoregressive) model is reconstructed as a new type of general radial basis function (RBF) neural network, which has additional linear output weight layer in comparison with the traditional three-layer RBF network. The extended Kalman filter (EKF) algorithm for RBF training has low filtering accuracy and divergence because of unknown prior knowledge, such as noise covariance and initial states. To overcome the drawback, the expectation maximization (EM) algorithm is used to estimate the covariance matrices of noises and the initial states. The proposed method, called the EM-EKF (expectation-maximization extended Kalman filter) algorithm, which combines the expectation maximization, extended Kalman filtering and smoothing process, is developed to estimate the parameters of the RBF-AR model, the initial conditions and the noise variances simultaneously. It is shown by the simulation tests that the EM-EKF method for the reconstructed RBF-AR network provides better results than structured nonlinear parameter optimization method (SNPOM) and the EKF, especially in low SNR (signal noise ratio). moreover, the EM-EKF method can accurately estimate the noise variance. F test indicates there is significant difference between results obtained by the SNPOM and the EM-EKF.
