EMERGING-CTONG 1103 showed improved progression-free survival(PFS)with neoadjuvant erlotinib *** for patients harbouring EGFR sensibility mutations and R0 resected stage IIIA-N2 non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)(NCT01407822).Herein,we report the final *** patients were randomly allocated 1:1 to the erlotinib group(150 mg/day orally;neoadjuvant phase for 42 days and adjuvant phase to 12 months)or to the GC group(gemcitabine 1250 mg/m2 plus cisplatin 75 mg/m2 intravenously;2 cycles in neoadjuvant phase and 2 cycles in adjuvant phase).Objective response rate(ORR),complete pathologic response(pCR),PFS,and overall survival(OS)were assessed along with *** hoc analysis was performed for subsequent treatments after disease *** investigated 72 patients(erlotinib,n=37;GC,n=35),the median follow-up was 62.5 *** median OS was 42.2 months(erlotinib)and 36.9 months(GC)(hazard ratio[HR],0.83;95%confidence interval[CI],0.47-1.47;p=0.513).The 3-and_(5-y)ear OS rates were 58.6%and 40.8%with erlotinib and 55.9%and 27.6%with GC(p_(3-y)=0.819,p_(5-y)=0.252).Subsequent treatment was administered in 71.9%and 81.8%of patients receiving erlotinib and GC,respectively;targeted therapy contributed mostly to OS(HR,0.35;95%CI,0.18-0.70).After disease progression,the ORR was 53.3%,and the median PFS was 10.9 months during the EGFR-TKI *** postoperative therapy,grade 3 or 4 adverse events(AEs)were 13.5%in the erlotinib group and 29.4%in the GC *** serious adverse events were *** exhibited clinical feasibility for resectable IIIA-N2 NSCLC over chemotherapy in the neoadjuvant setting.

Background and aim:This cross-sectional study investigated the prevalence and risk factors of high-risk human papilloma virus(HPV)infection,especially types 16 and 18,and cervical neoplasia in female Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)***:From July 2014 to January 2017,sexually active,female,Chinese IBD patients(21–60 years)and age-matched controls underwent cervical ThinPrep cytology testing(TCT)and high-risk HPV-DNA detection,and completed questionnaires about awareness of cervical cancer and *** dysplasia was categorized as cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN)1,2 and ***:Of 124 IBD patients(30 ulcerative colitis and 94 Crohn’s disease),17(13.7%)had high-risk HPV among whom 9(7.3%)had HPV 16/18 infection and 4(3.2%)had cervical CIN(3 CIN 3,1 CIN 1)by *** 372 controls,33(8.9%)had high-risk HPV and only 1(0.3%)had HPV 16 *** TCT detected atypical squamous cells of unknown significance in one control;no control had *** HPV 16/18 infection rate and CIN prevalence were significantly higher in IBD patients than controls(both Pliximab and disease behavior/location were not associated with HPV *** 29.3%of patients had undergone cervical-cancer *** of HPV infection and HPVrelated cervical cancer was poor(28.2%).Conclusions:Female IBD patients are at increased risk of high-risk HPV infection and cervical neoplasia,which may be associated with *** and routine follow-up with HPV-DNA testing and TCT are recommended,especially in female Chinese IBD patients.

We investigate high time resolution data obtained by the Gravitational wave high-energy Electromagnetic Counterpart All-sky Monitor(GECAM)during the flare event on 2022 April 21 at 01:52 *** subpeaks with durations of 4-6 s have been detected in the hard X-ray precursor phase,and the key feature is that they appear in pairs and seem like double-peak *** subpeaks are rarely observed in hard X-ray band and confirmed by the microwave obtained by Nobeyama Radio Polarimeters(NoRP)and Radio Solar Telescope Network(RSTN).While an exponential function can describe the continuum component of the time profile from the precursor to part of the impulsive *** periods of quasi-periodic pulsations(QPPs)are detected to be about 7.3 and 12.8 s for the precursor and impulsive phase,respectively,with at least 95%confidence *** paired QPPs are assumed to be double-peak QPPs and then the scenario of current loop coalescence model is found to be in good agreement with our *** precursor phase can be interpreted as the oscillating coalescence of two islands,while the impulsive phase can be interpreted as more islands to coalesce one by one to form larger islands.

Objective The relationship between serum uric acid(SUA)levels and glycemic indices,including plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour postload glucose(2 h-PG),and glycated hemoglobin(HbA1 c),remains *** aimed to explore the associations between glycemic indices and SUA levels in the general Chinese *** The current study was a cross-sectional analysis using the first follow-up survey data from The China Cardiometabolic Disease and Cancer Cohort Study.A total of 105,922 community-dwelling adults aged≥40 years underwent the oral glucose tolerance test and uric acid *** nonlinear relationships between glycemic indices and SUA levels were explored using generalized additive *** A total of 30,941 men and 62,361 women were eligible for the current *** additive models verified the inverted U-shaped association between glycemic indices and SUA levels,but with different inflection points in men and *** thresholds for FPG,2 h-PG,and HbA1 c for men and women were 6.5/8.0 mmol/L,11.0/14.0 mmol/L,and 6.1/6.5,respectively(SUA levels increased with increasing glycemic indices before the inflection points and then eventually decreased with further increases in the glycemic indices).Conclusion An inverted U-shaped association was observed between major glycemic indices and uric acid levels in both sexes,while the inflection points were reached earlier in men than in women.

There is considerable potential for integrating transarterial chemoembolization(TACE),programmed death-(ligand)1(PD-[L]1)inhibitors,and molecular targeted treatments(MTT)in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).It is necessary to investigate the therapeutic efficacy and safety of TACE combined with PD-(L)1 inhibitors and MTT in real-world *** this nationwide,retrospective,cohort study,826 HCC patients receiving either TACE plus PD-(L)1 blockades and MTT(combination group,n=376)or TACE monotherapy(monotherapy group,n=450)were included from January 2018 to May *** primary endpoint was progression-free survival(PFS)according to modified *** secondary outcomes included overall survival(OS),objective response rate(ORR),and *** performed propensity score matching approaches to reduce bias between two *** matching,228 pairs were included with a predominantly advanced disease *** PFS in combination group was 9.5 months(95%confidence interval[CI],8.4-11.0)versus 8.0 months(95%CI,6.6-9.5)(adjusted hazard ratio[HR],0.70,P=0.002).OS and ORR were also significantly higher in combination group(median OS,19.2[16.1-27.3]vs.15.7 months[13.0-20.2];adjusted HR,0.63,P=0.001;ORR,60.1%vs.32.0%;P<0.001).Grade 3/4 adverse events were observed at a rate of 15.8%and 7.5%in combination and monotherapy groups,*** results suggest that TACE plus PD-(L)1 blockades and MTT could significantly improve PFS,OS,and ORR versus TACE monotherapy for Chinese patients with predominantly advanced HCC in real-world practice,with an acceptable safety profile.

BACKGROUND The efficacy and safety of proprotein convertase subtilisin/kexin type 9(PCSK-9) inhibitors were confirmed by several clinical trials, but its effectiveness in routine clinical practice in China has not been evaluated. This study aims to describe the real world effectiveness of PCSK-9 inhibitors combined with statins compared with statins-based therapy among patients with very high risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease(ASCVD).METHODS This is a multi-center observational study, enrolled patients from 32 hospitals who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) from January to June in 2019. There are 453 patients treated with PCSK-9 inhibitors combined with statins in PCSK-9 inhibitor group and 2,610 patients treated with statins-based lipid lowering therapies in statins-based group. The lipid control rate and incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE) over six months were compared between two groups.A propensity score-matched(PSM) analysis was used to balance two groups on confounding factors. Survival analysis using Kaplan-Meier methods was applied for *** In a total of 3,063 patients, 89.91% of patients had received moderate or high-intensity statins-based therapy before PCI, but only 9.47% of patients had low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) levels below 1.4 mmol/L at baseline. In the PSM selected patients, LDL-C level was reduced by 42.57% in PCSK-9 inhibitor group and 30.81%(P < 0.001) in statins-based group after six months. The proportion of LDL-C ≤ 1.0 mmol/L increased from 5.29% to 29.26% in PCSK-9 inhibitor group and 0.23% to 6.11% in statins-based group, and the proportion of LDL-C ≤ 1.4 mmol/L increased from 10.36% to 47.69% in PCSK-9 inhibitor group and 2.99% to 18.43% in statins-based group(P < 0.001 for both). There was no significant difference between PCSK-9 inhibitor and statins-based treatment in reducing the risk of MACE(hazard ratio = 2.52, 95% CI: 0.49-12.97, P = 0.250).CONCLUSIONS In the real
