In this paper,we investigate Sobolev mapping properties of the Bergman projection.Th domain we focus on is defined byΩm/n:={(z,w)∈C^(1+N):|w1|<|z|m1/n1<1,…|wN|<|z|/m_(N)/n_(N)<1},where m=(m1,…mN)∈(Z^(+))^(N),n=(n1,…nN)∈(Z^(+))N,N∈Z^(+).Sobolev irregularity of the Bergman projections on 2 is shown.We also prove some Sobolev regularity results of the Bergman projections onΩm/n for m=(1,…1).

Introduction:The malaria deaths(MDs)caused by imported Plasmodium falciparum has become a great challenge.This article analyzed MDs in China in 2011−2020 to provide evidence-based data for further strategies and interventions adjustment.Methods:Individual data via the National Notifiable Disease Reporting System(NNDRS)in 2011−2020 were collected.The Plasmodium species,case classification,temporal and spatial distribution,and source of MDs were analyzed to explore MD characteristics.The Parasitic Diseases Information Reporting Management System(PDIRMS)of MDs in 2013−2020 which explored clinical symptom and treatment was also collected and analyzed.Results:A total of 165 MDs with a mortality rate of 0.5%were recorded in the NNDRS from 2011 to 2020.Among them,164(99.4%)died due to imported malaria cases,1(0.6%)died of indigenous case reported in Yunnan in 2013.The number of MDs showed a decreasing trend from 2011(n=30)to 2020(n=6).The MDs consisted of 160(97.0%)P.falciparum cases,1(0.6%)mixed infection case,and 4(2.4%)clinical diagnosed cases.The MDs were mainly reported in Guangdong(n=18,10.9%),Sichuan(n=17,10.3%),Beijing(n=15,9.1%)and Henan(n=15,9.1%).The PDIRMS had reported 121 MDs from 2013−2020,and 46.3%(n=56)of MDs exhibited severe brain damage,and most of the patients(n=95,78.5%)were administrated by artemisinin combination therapy injection form.Conclusions:The total MDs decreased in China,and a delay in diagnosis and treatment is the main causes of MDs.Therefore,two actions are needed to prevent MDs,including improving health education for key populations such as migrant workers who come to and return from endemic regions and maintaining malaria diagnosis and treatment capabilities of clinicians in medical facilities.

Introduction:In 2017,no indigenous malaria cases were reported in China,but imported malaria was a challenge for the elimination program.This study analyzed the status and trends of imported malaria in China from 2012 to 2018 to provide evidence for further strategies and adjustments to current interventions.Methods:Data on individuals were collected from the Parasitic Diseases Information Reporting Management System(PDIRMS)from 2012 to 2018.Plasmodium species,case classification,temporal distribution,spatial distribution,and source of imported cases were analyzed to investigate imported malaria characteristics.Results:In total,21,376 malaria cases were recorded in the PDIRMS from 2012 to 2018.Among them,20,938(98.0%)cases were imported malaria cases(IMCs).The number and proportion of IMCs increased from 2012(n=2,474,91.0%)to 2018(n=2,511,99.7%).IMCs consisted of 13,510(64.5%)P.falciparum,4,803(22.9%)P.vivax,1,725(8.2%)P.ovale,376(1.8%)P.malariae,2(0.01%)P.knowlesi,348(1.7%)mixed infections,and 174(0.8%)clinically-diagnosed cases.The proportion of imported P.falciparum cases increased from 2012(n=1403,57.4%)to 2018(n=1655,66.0%),while imported P.vivax cases showed a decreasing trend from 2012(n=901,43.7%)to 2018(n=352,14.0%).IMCs were mainly reported in Yunnan(n=2,922,14.0%),Guangxi(n=2,827,13.5%),and Jiangsu(2,067,9.9%).IMCs were reported throughout the entire year,and the highest number of IMCs was reported in June 2013.IMCs originated from 67 countries from 4 continents,and the largest proportion were from Myanmar(n=3,081,14.7%)and Ghana(n=2,704,12.9%).Conclusion and Implications for Public Health Practice:The total number of IMCs increased in China.Therefore,two actions are needed to continue the elimination of malaria in China:prevent reestablishment caused by imported P.vivax because Anopheles sinensis is still widely distributed;and ensure timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment to avoid fatal cases caused by imported P.falciparum.

Background: Significant portal hypertension(SPH) is a relative contraindication for patients with resectable hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). However, increasing evidence indicates that liver resection is feasible for HCC patients with SPH. Methods: HCC patients with cirrhosis who underwent laparoscopic liver resection(LLR) in two centers from January 2013 to April 2018 were included. Surgical and survival outcomes were analyzed to explore potential prognostic factors. Propensity score matching(PSM) analysis was performed to minimize bias. Results: A total of 165 patients were divided into two groups based on the presence(SPH, n = 76) or absence(non-SPH, n = 89) of SPH. Patients in the SPH group had longer operative time, more blood loss, and more advanced TNM stage than patients in the non-SPH group( P 0.05). After PSM, alpha-fetoprotein(AFP) ≥ 400 μg/L [hazard ratio(HR) = 4.71, 95% confidence interval(CI): 2.69-8.25], ascites(HR = 2.18, 95% CI: 1.30-3.66), American Society of Anesthesiologists(ASA) classification(Ⅲ vs. Ⅱ)(HR = 2.13, 95% CI: 1.11-4.07) and tumor diameter > 5 cm(HR = 3.91, 95% CI: 2.02-7.56) independently predicted worse OS. Conclusions: LLR for patients with HCC complicated with SPH appears feasible at the price of increasing operative time and blood loss. AFP, ascites, ASA classification and tumor diameter may predict the prognosis of HCC complicated with SPH after LLR.

Voronoi diagrams on triangulated surfaces based on the geodesic metric play a key role in many applications of computer graphics.Previous methods of constructing such Voronoi diagrams generally depended on having an exact geodesic metric.However,exact geodesic computation is time-consuming and has high memory usage,limiting wider application of geodesic Voronoi diagrams(GVDs).In order to overcome this issue,instead of using exact methods,we reformulate a graph method based on Steiner point insertion,as an effective way to obtain geodesic distances.Further,since a bisector comprises hyperbolic and line segments,we utilize Apollonius diagrams to encode complicated structures,enabling Voronoi diagrams to encode a medial-axis surface for a dense set of boundary samples.Based on these strategies,we present an approximation algorithm for efficient Voronoi diagram construction on triangulated surfaces.We also suggest a measure for evaluating similarity of our results to the exact GVD.Although our GVD results are constructed using approximate geodesic distances,we can get GVD results similar to exact results by inserting Steiner points on triangle edges.Experimental results on many 3D models indicate the improved speed and memory requirements compared to previous leading methods.

Rational design and evaluation of UV curable nano-silver ink applied in highly conductive textile-based electrodes and flexible silver-zinc batteries

The possibility of printing conductive ink on textiles is progressively researched due to its potential benefits in manufacturing functional wearable electronics and improving wearing comfort.However,few studies have reported the effect of conductive ink formulation on electrodes directly screen-printed on flexible substrates,especially printing UV curable conductive ink on common textiles.In this work,a novel UV curable nano-silver ink with short-time curing and low temperature features was developed to manufacture the fully flexible and washable textile-based electrodes by screen printing.The aim of this study was to determine the influence of ink formulation on UV-curing speed,degree of conversion,morphology and electrical properties of printed electrodes.Besides,the application demonstration was highlighted.The curing speed and adhesion of ink was found depending dominantly on the type of prepolymer and the functionality of monomer,and the type of photoinitiator had a decisive effect on the curing speed,degree of double bond conversion and morphology of printed patterns.The nano-silver content is key to guarantee the suitable screen-printability of conductive ink and therefore the uniformity and high conductivity of textile-based electrodes.Optimally,an ink formulation with 60 wt%nano-silver meets the potential application requirements.The electrode with 1.0 mm width showed significantly high electrical conductivity of 2.47×10^(6)S/m,outstanding mechanical durability and satisfactory washability.The high-performance of electrodes screen-printed on different fabrics proved the feasibility and utility of UV curable nano-silver ink.In addition,the application potential of the conductive ink in fabricating electronic textiles(e-textiles)was confirmed by using the textile-based electrodes as the cathodes of silverzinc batteries.We anticipate the developed UV curable conductive ink for screen-printing on textiles can provide a novel design opportunity for flexible and wearable e-textile applications.

Biomedical materials have received increasing attention in recent decades and have been used in medical applications to advance patient care,such as prosthetic implants,tissue repair and regeneration,drug delivery systems,pharmaceutical or biological therapy products,and sensitive diagnostic technologies.Among different types of biomedical materials,nonferrous metals and related materials(NMRMs)are important and attractive candidates.The updating of biomedical NMRMs and devices heavily relies on original research and applicationoriented innovation.Here,we provide recent research findings and succinct insights into the developments in NMRMs for biomedical applications in China,including the use of titanium,magnesium,copper,zinc,cobalt,zirconium,hafnium,niobium,rhenium,tantalum,tungsten,silver,gold,platinum,palladium,their alloys and compounds,rare earths,high-entropy alloys,and liquid metals.Finally,the literature review concludes with several possible directions of NMRMs for new and future developments in biomedical engineering.

Regional tissue oxygen saturation as a predictor of post-spinal anesthesia hypotension for cesarean delivery

Since the discovery of neuraxial blockade,spinal anesthesia has been frequently used for cesarean section.According to an international consensus statement on hypotension management,Kinsella et al[1]reported the incidence of post-spinal anesthesia hypotension in parturient women to be as high as 70%to 80%.Post-spinal anesthesia hypotension is mainly caused by sympathetic vasomotor block,which results in reduced systemic vascular resistance,venous pooling in capacitance vessels,and decreased cardiac output.Severe hypotension may lead to maternal and fetal adverse events.Undesirable maternal hypotension may contribute to reduced uterus blood flow resulting in decreased placental perfusion and fetal hypoxia leading to acute fetal acidosis.Pregnant women having a positive preoperative stress test were associated with an increased risk of post-spinal anesthesia hypotension during cesarean delivery.[2]However,the sensitivity of the stress test for predicting post-spinal anesthesia hypotension was only 69%.[2]In clinical practice,non-invasive,reliable,and readily available techniques are still much in need to predict the incidence of hypotension after spinal anesthesia as well as to improve the management of spinal anesthesia-induced hypotension for cesarean delivery.
