Objective:the activities and products of carbohydrate metabolism are involved in key processes of ***,its relationship with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is ***:the cancer genome atlas(tCGA)-HCC and iCGC-LiRi-JP datasets were acquired via public *** expressed genes(DEGs)between HCC and control samples in the tCGA-HCC dataset were identified and overlapped with 355 carbohydrate metabolism-related genes(CRGs)to obt.in differentially expressed CRGs(DE-CRGs).then,univariate Cox and least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)analyses were applied to identify risk model genes,and HCC samples were divided into high/low-risk groups according to the median risk ***,gene set enrichment analysis(GSEA)was performed on the risk model *** sensitivity of the risk model to immunotherapy and chemotherapy was also ***:A total of 8 risk model genes,namely,G6PD,PFKFB4,ACAt1,ALDH2,ACYP1,OGDHL,ACADS,and tKtL1,were ***,the risk score,cancer status,age,and pathologic t stage were strongly associated with the prognosis of HCC *** the stromal score and immune score had significant negative/positive correlations with the risk score,reflecting the important role of the risk model in immunotherapy ***,the stromal and immune scores had significant negative/positive correlations with risk scores,reflecting the important role of the risk model in immunotherapy ***,we found that high-/low-risk patients were more sensitive to 102 drugs,suggesting that the risk model exhibited sensitivity to chemotherapy *** results of the experiments in HCC tissue samples validated the expression of the risk model ***:through bioinformatic analysis,we constructed a carbohydrate metabolism-related risk model for HCC,cont.ibuting to the prognosis prediction and treatment of HCC patients.

the aim of t.is study was to evaluate the effects of dietary soluble non-starch polysaccharide(sNSP)content and xylanase supplementation on production performance,egg quality parameters,and nut.ient di-gestibility in Hy-line Brown layers from 25 to 32 wk of age.A total of 144 Hy-line Brown laying hens(25 wk of age)were randomly allocated to 1 of 4 wheat-based dietary treatments in a 2×2 factorial experimental design,with 36 replicates of individual hens per *** diets were formulated to cont.in either a high or low sNSP level(at 13.3 or 10.8 g/kg)and were supplemented with either 0 or 12,000 BXU/kg exogenous *** were fed these treatment diets for an 8-wk period,and hen production perfor-mance,including daily egg production,average egg weight,daily egg mass,feed conversion ratio and pro-portion of dirty and abnormal eggs were measured at bird age 25 to 28 wk and 29 to 32 *** interaction between sNSP content of the diet and xylanase supplementation was observed on daily egg production from 25 to 28 wk of age(P-0.018);birds fed the high sNSP diet without xylanase had lower egg production than those fed any other *** interaction between the 2 dietary factors was also observed on hen weight gain at 29 to 32 wk of age(P=0.014),with birds fed the low sNSP diet with 12,000 BXU/kg xylanase presenting greater weight gain compared to those fed the high sNSP diet with 12,000 BXU/kg *** intake at 29 to 32 wk of age was reduced by xylanase supplementation(P=0.047).Xylanase supplemen-tation also increased yolk colour score at both 28 and 32 wk of age,and decreased yolk weight at 32 wk of age(P-0.014,0.037 and 0.013,respectively).Birds fed the low sNSP diet presented lower prot.in digestibility(P-0.024)than those fed the high sNSP ***,birds fed high sNSP presented higher shell reflectivity at both 28 and 32 wk of age(P-0.05 and 0.036,respectively).the influence of duration of feeding the treatment diets on egg quality was also

KCNA1 is the coding gene for Kv1.1 voltage-gated potassium-channelα*** variants of KCNA1 have been reported to manifest as paroxysmal kinesigenic dyskinesia(PKD),but the correlation between them remains unclear due to the phenotypic complexity of KCNA1 variants as well as the rarity of PKD *** the whole exome sequencing followed by Sanger sequencing,we screen for potential pathogenic KCNA1 variants in patients clinically diagnosed with paroxysmal movement disorders and identify three previously unreported missense variants of KCNA1 in three unrelated Chinese *** proband of one family(c.496G>A,p.A166t)manifests as episodic ataxia type 1,and the other two(c.877G>A,p.V293i and c.1112C>A,p.t371A)manifest as *** pathogenicity of these variants is confirmed by functional studies,suggesting that p.A166t and p.t371A cause a loss-of-function of the channel,while p.V293i leads to a gain-of-function with the property of voltage-dependent gating and activation kinetic *** reviewing the locations of PKD-manifested KCNA1 variants in Kv1.1 prot.in,we find that these variants tend to cluster around the pore domain,which is similar to ***,our study strengthens the correlation between KCNA1 variants and PKD and provides more information on genotype–phenotype correlations of KCNA1 channelopathy.

Using first-principles calculations,we predict a new type of two-dimensional(2D)beryllium(Be)-decorated t-graphene named BeC_(2),where Be atoms are inserted into C–C bonds linking the carbon tetrarings of *** band structure shows that BeC_(2)is metallic,thus,the possible phonon-mediated superconductivity is explored based on the Eliashberg *** calculated electron-phonon coupling(EPC)constant.is up to 4.07,and the corresponding superconducting critical temperature(tc)is 72.1 K,approaching the liquid nitrogen *** reason for the high tc is the strong *** it.is proved to be an anisotropic single-gap superconductor by analyzing the superconducting gap?kof BeC_(2).the electronic susceptibility calculation shows strong nesting effect.in BeC_(2).Since rare 2D superconductors show such a strong EPC constantλwhich originates from the coupling between electrons in C-pzorbital and in-plane vibrations of Be and C atoms,the predicted BeC_(2)provides a new platform for investigating strong EPC 2D superconductor.
