Effectiveness of urban distributed runoff model for discharge and water depth calculation in urban drainage pipe networks

Effective urban land-use re-planning and the strategic arrangement of drainage pipe networks can significantly enhance urban flood defense *** at reducing the potential risks of urban flooding,this paper presents a straightforward and efficient approach to an urban distributed runoff model(UDRM).The model is developed to quantify the discharge and water depth within urban drainage pipe networks under varying rainfall intensities and land-use *** Nash efficiency coefficient of UDRM exceeds 0.9,which indicates its high computational efficiency and potential benefit in predicting urban *** prediction of drainage conditions under both current and re-planned land-use types is achieved by adopting different flood recurrence *** findings reveal that the re-planned land-use strategies could effectively diminish flood risk upstream of the drainage pipe network across 20-year and 50-year flood recurrence ***,in the case of extreme rainfall events(a 100-year flood recurrence),the re-planned land-use approach fell short of fulfilling the requirements necessary for flood disaster *** these instances,the adoption of larger-diameter drainage pipes becomes an essential requisite to satisfy drainage ***,the proposed UDRM effectively combines land-use information with pipeline data to give practical suggestions for pipeline modification and land-use optimization to combat urban ***,this methodology warrants further promotion in the field of urban re-planning.

Analysis of mechanical strengths of extreme line casing joint considering geometric, material, and contact nonlinearities

To address the challenges associated with difficult casing running,limited annular space,and poor cementing quality in the completion of ultra-deep wells,the extreme line casing offers an effective solution over conventional ***,due to its smaller size,the joint strength of extreme line casing is reduced,which may cause failure when running in the *** address this issue,this study focuses on the CST-ZTΦ139.7 mm×7.72 mm extreme line casing and employs the elastic-plastic mechanics to establish a comprehensive analysis of the casing joint,taking into account the influence of geometric and material nonlinearities.A finite element model is developed to analyze the forces and deformations of the extreme line casing joint under axial tension and external collapse *** model investigates the stress distribution of each thread tooth subjected to various tensile forces and external ***,the tensile strength and crushing strength of the extreme line casing joint are determined through both analytical and experimental *** findings reveal that,under axial tensile load,the bearing surface of each thread tooth experiences uneven stress,with relatively high equivalent stress at the root of each thread *** end thread teeth are valuable spots for *** is observed that the critical fracture axial load of thread decreases linearly with the increase of thread tooth *** external pressure,the circumferential stress is highest at the small end of the external thread,leading to yield *** tensile strength of the joint obtained from the finite element model exhibits a relative error of less than 7%compared to the analytical and experimental values,proving the reliability of the finite element *** tensile strength of the joint is 3091.9 k ***,in terms of anti-collapse capability,the joints demonstrate higher resistance to collapse compared to the casing body,which is consistent with the test resul

Due to the low cost,high working voltage and high storage capacity,Li-rich Mn-based layered compounds show promise as the cathode materials for lithiumion batteries(LIBs).However,the side reactions at the solid-liquid interface of the cathode will lead to rapid capacity decay and inferior rate ***,this article proposes a liquid-phase dispersion strategy to introduce a Na_(2)WO_(4)layer on the Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.13)-Co_(0.13)Mn_(0.54)O_(2) cathode,which can reduce the side effects between raw materials and electrolyte and promote the insertion/extraction rate of Li^(+),thus enhancing the material stability and rate *** a result,the capacity retention rate is 96.9%after 200 cycles under ***,the capacities are 177.5,149.5,111.1.and58.3 mAh·g^(-1)at 1C,2C,5C and 10C,implying a superior fast charging *** exceptional performance can be ascribed to both the increased conductivity and enhanced structural stability of the cathode ***'s more,based on the investigation of ion insertion/extraction behavior in electrode materials and the ion migration kinetics in the electrolyte,this study suggests that coating Li-rich Mn-based materials with Na_(2)WO_(4)can be a promising strategy to improve their performance in LIBs.

Experimental Study on Vortex-Induced Vibration of Rough Risers Coupling with Interference Effect in Tandem Arrangement

In order to study the response law of vortex-induced vibration(VIV)of marine risers under the combined action of roughness and interference effects,and to reveal the coupling mechanism of roughness and interference effects on the riser,a VIV experiment of rough risers in tandem arrangement was conducted in a wave−current combined *** experiment characterized the risers’roughness by arranging different specifications of attachments on the surface of the *** rough risers with different roughness and smooth risers were arranged in tandem arrangement,with the rough risers arranged *** experimental results indicate that the suppression of the attachments on the downstream risers’vibration are more significant both in the CF and IL directions as the reduced velocity *** the downstream riser,the amplitude response of rough riser is more significantly weakened compared with the smooth one at high reduced *** the upstream risers,changes in the roughness and spacing ratio have an impact on their‘lock-in’*** the roughness of downstream risers is relatively large(0.1300)and the spacing between risers is small(S/D=4.0),the reduced velocity range of‘lock-in’region in the CF direction of upstream risers is obviously expanded,and the displacement in the‘lock-in’region is severer.

Effects of heat treatment on microstructures and properties of a heterostructured alloy with dissimilar components fabricated by WAAM

Heat treatment significantly influences homogeneous material microstructures and mechanical properties,which can be improved by an optimal heat treatment ***,heat treatment application to heterogeneous materials presents significant challenges due to compositional and microstructural ***,a laminated heterostructured alloy comprising alternating316L stainless steel(SS)and 18Ni300 maraging steel(MS)layers fabricated using wire and arc additive manufacturing was investigated.A solution treatment was applied at900℃for 0.5 ***,the solution-treated and asfabricated(AF)samples were aged at 500℃for 4 h;these samples were denoted SA and AT,*** AT phase compositions and orientations were similar to those of *** SA 316L SS layer resembled that of AF,but the SA 18Ni300 MS layers exhibited a reduced austenite phase fraction and refined grain size,attributable to solid-state *** the AT sample,aging induced the formation of nanoscale acicularωphase and ellipsoidal Ni_(3)Ti,Fe_(2)Mo,and X precipitates in the 18Ni300 MS ***,the SA precipitates contained acicular Fe Ni_(2)and ellipsoidalω,Ni_(3)Ti,and X precipitates,and their fractions were lower than those in AT ***18Ni300 MS layer microhardness in the heat-treated samples increased due to nanoprecipitation,but the 316L SS layer microhardness resembled that of *** AT and SA ultimate tensile strengths increased to(1360±50)and(1473±41)MPa,respectively,attributable to precipitation *** SA 316L SS layer exhibited a high stress-induced martensite fraction,enhancing the ductility of heated samples.

Exploring Dry-out Behaviour and Explosion Resistance of Microsilica-gel Bonded No-cement Castables

Cement-free castables have attracted significant attention due to their superior thermal-mechanical properties and rapid dry-out in comparison to cement-bonded refractory ***,drying industrial-scale specimens can pose more challenges than lab-scale *** this study,the dry-out behavior and explosion resistance of microsilica-gel bonded nocement castables(NCCs)were investigated on both lab-and industrial-scale specimens,employing various drying ***,the fast dry-out mechanism was assessed using thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)on lab-scale small ***,the drying behavior of industrial-scale large samples(300 mm×300 mm×300 mm cubes,approximately 80 kg)was studied using a unique macro-thermo-balance(macro-TGA).The results showed that EMSIL-DRY^(®)reduced the temperature level for maximum dewatering rate and effectively prevented explosions during heat-up,compared to other polymer *** use of a specialty drying agent(EMSIL-DRY^(®))significantly improved the explosion resistance,as demonstrated by the production of a perfect 400 kg block fired to 850℃at a rate of 50℃·h^(-1).This research contributes to the understanding and application of cement-free castables in industrial settings.

Rhizosphere microbes influence wogonoside accumulation in perennial Scutellaria baicalensis

Dried roots of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi are an acclaimed traditional Chinese medicine,and wogonoside content is a key indicator used to evaluate *** *** than rising linearly with cultivation years,*** quality initially increases and then ***,little is known regarding the dynamic variations in *** rhizosphere microorganisms under long-term cultivation and underlying mechanisms of their effects on wogonoside formation and *** aim of this study was to investigate the roles of soil nutrients and rhizosphere microbes on *** quality across different cultivation years(1-4 years).The wogonoside content(25.14 mg g^(-1))was highest in the biennial *** and then decreased following long-term *** soil nutrients(available nitrogen,available phosphorus,available iron,available manganese,and available zinc)were reduced significantly as cultivation years *** also affected rhizosphere bacterial community structure significantly,driving it toward deterministic process(i.e.,β-nearest taxon index<-2).Available manganese and exchangeable calcium indirectly affected wogonoside formation and *** inhibition was driven by the reduction in rhizosphere bacterial diversity,which significantly increased the relative abundance of beta-glucosidase and decreased the relative abundance of phenylalanine *** rhizosphere microenvironment was altered under long-term cultivation,thereby shaping rhizosphere bacterial community,reducing the community diversity,and ultimately inhibiting wogonoside formation and *** findings may aid in understanding of the mechanisms and reasons for the reduction in *** quality under long-term cultivation from the perspective of soil nutrients and microorganisms,which may theoretically support the future artificial cultivation and management of Chinese medicinal plants.

Differences in Toxicokinetics and Maternal Transfer between Lipophilic and Proteinophilic Halogenated Organic Pollutants in Laying Hens

In this study,we conducted exposure experiments on egg-laying hens to explore the toxicokinetics and maternal transfer characteristics of lipophilic and proteinophilic halogenated organic pollutants(HOPs).The lipophilic HOPs included polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs),polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs),and dechlorane plus(DPs),while the proteinophilic HOPs included perfluorocarboxylic acids(PFCAs).The results revealed that most of lipophilic HOPs exhibit lower depuration rate(kd)than *** kd of lipophilic HOPs correlated with the octanol−water partition coefficient(log KOW)values in a V-shaped curve,whereas that of PFCAs correlated with the protein−water partition coefficient(log KPW)values in an inverted V-shaped *** depuration rate,rather than the uptake rate,was a leading factor in determining the bioaccumulation potential of HOPs in *** the dominant factors determining the tissue distribution of the two types of compounds were explicit(fats vs phospholipids),chemical-specific tissue distribution was still *** egg-maternal concentration ratio was dependent on the exposure status,concentration,and maternal tissue *** a single maternal tissue may not be an appropriate method for assessing chemical maternal transfer *** have a greater maternal transfer potential(>80%of the total body burden)than lipophilic HOPs(approximately 30%for BDE209 and DPs,and less than 10%for the others).Their lipophilic and partly proteinophilic nature makes the toxicokinetics and maternal transfer characteristics of BDE209 and DPs different from those of other lipophilic *** findings are crucial for enhancing our understanding of the behavior and fate of HOPs in egg-laying hens.

Application value of dexmedetomidine in anesthesia for elderly patients undergoing radical colon cancer surgery
