The aim of this paper is simultaneous mini- mization of hydrothermal units to reach the best solution by employing an improved artificial bee colony （ABC） algorithm in a multi-objective function consisting of economic dispatch （ED） considering the valve-point effect and pollution function in power systems in view of the hot water of the hydro system. In this type of optimization problem, all practical constraints of units were taken into account as much as possible in order to comply with the reality. These constraints include the maximum and minimum output power of units, the constraints caused by the balance between supply and demand, the impact of pollution, water balance, uneven production curve con- sidering the valve-point effect and system losses. The proposed algorithm is applied on the studied system, and the obtained results indifferent operating conditions are analyzed. To investigate in various operating conditions, different load profiles in 12 h are taken into account. The obtained results are compared with those of the other methods including the genetfc algorithm （GA）, the Basu technique, and the improved genetic algorithm. Fast convergence is one of this improved algorithm features.

In this paper, a passive neuro-wavelet based islanding detection technique for grid-connected inverter- based distributed generation was developed. The weight parameters of the neural network were optimized by intelligent water drop （IWD） to improve the capability of the proposed technique in the proposed problem. The proposed method utilizes and combines wavelet analysis and artificial neural network （ANN） to detect islanding. Connecting distributed generator to the distribution net- work has many benefits such as increasing the capacity of the grid and enhancing the power quality. However, it gives rise to many problems. This is mainly due to the fact that distribution networks are designed without any generation units at that level. Hence, integrating distributed generators into the existing distribution network is not problem-free. Unintentional islanding is one of the encountered problems. Discrete wavelet transform （DWT） is capable of decomposing the signals into different frequency bands. It can be utilized in extracting discrimi- native features from the acquired voltage signals. In passive schemes with a large non-detection zone （NDZ）, concern has been raised on active method due to its degrading power quality effect. The main emphasis of the proposed scheme is to reduce the NDZ to as close as possible and to keep the output power quality unchanged. The simulation results from Matlab/Simulink shows that the proposed method has a small non-detection zone, and is capable of detecting islanding accurately within the minimum standard time.

Hyperspectral images in remote sensing include hundreds of spectral bands that provide valuable information for accurately identify *** this paper,a new method of classifying hyperspectral images using spectral spatial information has been ***,using the hyperspectral signal subspace identification(HYSIME)method which estimates the signal and noise correlation matrix and selects a subset of eigenvalues for the best representation of the signal subspace in order to minimize the mean square error,subsets from the main sample space have been *** subspace extraction with the help of the HYSIME method,the edge-preserving filtering(EPF),and classification of the hyperspectral subspace using a support vector machine(SVM),results were then merged into the decision-making level using majority rule to create the spectral-spatial *** simulation results showed that the spectral-spatial classifier presented leads to significant improvement in the accuracy and validity of the classification of Indiana,Pavia and Salinas hyperspectral images,such that it can classify these images with 98.79%,98.88% and 97.31% accuracy,respectively.

This paper is concerned with the robust adaptive fault-tolerant control of a tandem coaxial ducted fan aircraft under system uncertainty, mismatched disturbance, and actuator *** the proposed aircraft, comprehensive controllability analysis is performed to evaluate the controllability of each state as well as the margin to reject mismatched disturbance without any knowledge of the controller. Mismatched disturbance attenuation is ensured through a structured Hinfinity controller tuned by a non-smooth optimization algorithm. Embedded with the H-infinity controller, an adaptive control law is proposed in order to mitigate matched system uncertainty and actuator fault. Input saturation is also considered by the modified reference model. Numerical simulation of the novel ducted fan aircraft is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. The simulation results reveal that the proposed adaptive controller achieves better transient response and more robust performance than classic Model Reference Adaptive Control（MRAC） method, even with serious actuator saturation.

Safety threshold of intravitreal clonidine in rabbit's eyes

AIM： To determine the safe dose of intravitreal clonidine（IVC）, a potential drug for neuroprotection and angiogenesis inhibition in rabbits. METHODS： A total of 28 rabbits were divided into four groups. Three groups received IVC with concentrations of 15（Group A）, 25（Group B）, and 50（Group C） g/0.1 m L and the control group（Group D） received 0.1 m L balanced salt solution（BSS）. To investigate IVC safety, electroretinography（ERG） was performed at baseline, then at 1, 4 and 8 wk after injection. After last ERG, all rabbits were euthanized, their eyes were enucleated and subjected to routine histopathological evaluation, immunohistochemistry for glial fibrillary acidic protein（GFAP） and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase d UTP nick end labeling（TUNEL） ***： Based on ERG, histopathology, GFAP and TUNEL assay findings, 15 g IVC was determined as the safe dose in rabbit eyes. While, the results of routine histopathology and TUNEL assay were unremarkable in all groups, toxic effects attributed to 25 and 50 g IVC were demonstrated by ERG and GFAP tests. CONCLUSION： Totally 15 g clonidine is determined as the safe dose for intravitreal injection in rabbits. Contribution of IVC in neuroprotection and inhibition of angiogenesis deserve more studies.

The Study of Processes Affecting Groundwater Hydrochemistry by Multivariate Statistical Analysis (Case Study: Coastal Aquifer of Ghaemshahr, NE-Iran)

To assess the quality of groundwater resources, samples were collected from 22 points for mean annual water years of 2003 and 2015 (mean minimum and maximum water table), and 19 parameters were examined and calculated. One of the objectives of this study was to evaluate the groundwater quality of the Ghaemshahr plain which includes the study of spatial and temporal changes of groundwater quality in different sectors and factors affecting it. In this study, combining statistical methods such as Pearson correlation coefficient, factor analysis, principal component analysis, and combined diagrams with hydrochemical methods are used to assess the chemical quality of groundwater. Samples were categorized by using cluster method and then the same samples were identified. Accordingly, samples were classified in four categories which represent the quality of groundwater in different districts. Factor analysis was used to identify the factors affecting the geochemical processes of the aquifer. Statistical methods showed that they can be used to complete the conventional methods in hydro-geochemistry as well as very precise results can be achieved. Based on the obtained results, saturation index of Ghaemshahr groundwater was super-saturated;and groundwater quality control of Ghaemshahr plain is hold by processes such as dissolution of halide (salt water intrusion of Caspian Sea and brackish fossil aquifers), calcite and dolomite (dissolution of limestone, dolomite, and marl in height), weathering sodium-rich plagioclases (clay minerals), and ion exchange.

A Randomized,Double Blinded,Placebo-Controlled Clinical Trial of Silymarin in Ulcerative Colitis

Objective： To evaluate the clinical efficacy of silymarin in ulcerative colitis （UC） patients. Methods： A randomized double blinded placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted in 80 UC patients whose disease had been documented and were in remission state between September 2009 and October 2010. Patients were assigned to silymarin group （42 cases） and placebo group （38 cases） using a random number table. Either silymarin （140 mg） or placebo （lactose mono-hydrate, corn starch magnesium stearate） tablets were given once daily for 6 months along with their standard therapy. The efficacies were assessed by disease activity index （DAI）, frequency difference of the disease flare-up, and paraclinical data. Results： Ten patients （4 in the silymarin group due to nausea and 6 in the placebo group due to disease flare-up and abdominal pain） discontinued the study. An improvement in hemoglobin level （11.8± 1.6 g/dL vs. 13.4± 1.2 g/dL, P〈0.05） and erythrocyte sedimentation rate （23.7 ＋_ 11.5 mm/h vs.10.8＋ 3.2 mm/h, P〈0.05） was observed in the silymarin group but not in the placebo group. DAI significantly decreased in the silymarin group and reached from 11.3 ± 3.5 to 10.7±2.8 （P〈0.05）. Thirty-five out of 38 patients in the silymarin group were in complete remission with no flare-up after 6 months as compared to 21 out of 32 patients in the placebo group （P=0.5000）. Conclusion： Silymarin as a natural supplement may be used in UC patients to maintain remission.
