City Digital Twins: their maturity level and differentiation from 3D city models

The emerging field of City Digital Twins has advanced in recent years with the help of digital infrastructure and technologies connected to the Internet of Things(IoT).However,the evolution of this field has been so fast that a gap has opened in relation to systematic reviews of the relevant literature and the maturation of City Digital Twins on an urban *** work bridges this gap by highlighting maturity in the *** conducted a systematic literature review with bibliometric and content analysis of 41 selected papers published in Web of Science and Scopus data-bases,covering five areas:data types and sources,case studies,applied technologies and methods,maturity spectrum,and *** on maturity indicators,the majority of the reviewed studies(90%)were at initial to medium stages of maturity(up to element 3),most of them focused on 3D modelling,monitoring and ***,digital twins cannot be limited to 3D models,monitoring and visualisation,for they can be developed to include two-directional interactions between humans and *** a high level of maturity,which was not found in the reviewed studies,requires advanced technologies and methods such as cloud computing,artificial intelligence,BIM and *** also found that further studies are essential if the field is to handle the complex urban challenges of multidisciplinary digital *** City Digital Twins extend by definition beyond mere 3D city modelling,some studies involving 3D city models still refer to their subjects as City Digital *** the research gaps we identified,we’d like to highlight the need for near-real-time data analytics algorithms,which could furnish City Digital Twins with big data *** opportunities include public participation capabilities to increase social collaboration,integrating BIM and GIS technologies and improving storage and computation infrastructure.

Preserving Privacy of Software-Defined Networking Policies by Secure Multi-Party Computation

In software-defined networking(SDN),controllers are sinks of information such as network topology collected from *** often like to protect their internal network topology and keep their network policies *** borrow techniques from secure multi-party computation(SMC)to preserve the privacy of policies of SDN controllers about status of *** the other hand,the number of controllers is one of the most important concerns in scalability of SMC application in *** address this issue,we formulate an optimization problem to minimize the number of SDN controllers while considering their reliability in SMC *** use Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II(NSGA-II)to determine the optimal number of controllers,and simulate SMC for typical SDNs with this number of *** results show that applying the SMC technique to preserve the privacy of organization policies causes only a little delay in SDNs,which is completely justifiable by the privacy obtained.

Epidemiology of pelvic and acetabular fractures across 12-mo at a level-1 trauma centre

BACKGROUND Despite motor-vehicle safety advancements and increasingly rigorous workplace safety regulations,trauma/suicide remains the leading cause of death under the age of 45 in the United *** promote centralisation of care and optimisation of major trauma outcomes,in 2012 the National Health Service introduced the Trauma Network *** our knowledge,this is the first study to analyse the epidemiology of pelvic and acetabular trauma over a one-year period at a level-1 trauma centre in the United Kingdom,since nationwide introduction of the Trauma Network *** To characterize the epidemiology of high-energy pelvic and acetabular fractures over a one-year period at a level-1 trauma centre,and explore both resources required to care for these patients and opportunities for future research and injury prevention *** 227 consecutive patients at a level-1 trauma centre with pelvic and acetabular fractures were analysed between December 2017-December *** patients(<18 years)and fragility fractures were excluded,leaving 175 patients for inclusion in the *** analysis was performed using Fisher’s exact test for categorical *** 72%of pelvic and acetabular fractures occurred in male patients at a median age of 45 years.15%were the result of a suicide attempt.48%of patients required pelvic or acetabular surgery,with 38%undergoing further surgery for additional orthopaedic injuries.43%of patients were admitted to intensive *** median inpatient stay was 13 days,and the 30-day mortality was 5%.Pelvic ring trauma was more commonly associated with abdominal injury(P=0.01)and spine fractures(P<0.001)than acetabular *** shear pelvic ring fractures were associated with falls(P=0.03)while lateral compression fractures were associated with road traffic accidents(P=0.01).CONCLUSION High energy pelvic and acetabular fractures are associated with concomitant orthopaedic fractures(most commonly spine

Investigation of a mutual interaction force at different pressure amplitudes in sulfuric acid

This paper investiages the secondary Bjerknes force for two oscillating bubbles in various pressure amplitudes in a concentration of 95% sulfuric acid. The equilibrium radii of the bubbles are assumed to be smaller than 10 μm at a frequency of 37 kHz in various strong driving acoustical fields around 2.0 bars （1 bar=10^5 Pa）. The secondary Bjerknes force is investigated in uncoupled and coupled states between the bubbles, with regard to the quasi-adiabatic model for the bubble interior. It finds that the value of the secondary Bjerknes force depends on the driven pressure of sulfuric acid and its amount would be increased by liquid pressure amplitude enhancement. The results show that the repulsion area of the interaction force would be increased by increasing the driven pressure because of nonlinear oscillation of bubbles.

Quantitative genetic analysis of chlorophyll a fluorescence parameters in maize in the field environments

Chlorophyl fluorescence transient from initial to maximum fluorescence （“P”step） throughout two intermedi-ate steps （“J”and“I”）（JIP-test） is considered a reliable early quantitative indicator of stress in plants. The JIP-test is particularly useful for crop plants when applied in variable field environments. The aim of the present study was to conduct a quantitative trait loci （QTL） analysis for nine JIP-test parameters in maize during flowering in four field environ-ments differing in weather conditions. QTL analysis and identification of putative candidate genes might help to explain the genetic relationship between photosynthesis and different field scenarios in maize plants. The JIP-test param-eters were analyzed in the intermated B73 ？ Mo17 （IBM） maize population of 205 recombinant inbred lines. A set of 2,178 molecular markers across the whole maize genome was used for QTL analysis revealing 10 significant QTLs for seven JIP-test parameters, of which five were co-localized when combined＆amp;nbsp;over the four environments indicating polygenic inheritance and pleiotropy. Our results demonstrate that QTL analysis of chlorophyl fluorescence parameters was capable of detecting one pleiotropic locus on chromosome 7, coinciding with the gene gst23 that may be associated with efficient photosynthe-sis under different field scenarios.

An important factor in the course of daily medical diagnosis and treatment is understanding patients’ emotional states by the caregiver physicians. However, patients usually avoid speaking out their emotions when expressing their somatic symptoms and complaints to their non-psychiatrist doctor. On the other hand, clinicians usually lack the required expertise(or time) and have a deficit in mining various verbal and non-verbal emotional signals of the patients. As a result, in many cases, there is an emotion recognition barrier between the clinician and the patients making all patients seem the same except for their different somatic symptoms. In particular, we aim to identify and combine three major disciplines(psychology, linguistics, and data science) approaches for detecting emotions from verbal communication and propose an integrated solution for emotion recognition support. Such a platform may give emotional guides and indices to the clinician based on verbal communication at the consultation time.

A unique circular path of moving single bubble sonoluminescence in water

Based on a quasi-adiabatic model, the parameters of the bubble interior for a moving single bubble sonoluminescence （m-SBSL） in water are calculated. By using a complete form of the hydrodynamic force, a unique circular path for the m-SBSL in water is obtained. The effect of the ambient pressure variation on the bubble trajectory is also investigated. It is concluded that as the ambient pressure increases, the bubble moves along a circular path with a larger radius and all bubble parameters, such as gas pressure, interior temperature and light intensity, increase. A comparison is made between the parameters of the moving bubble in water and those in N-methylformamide. With fluid viscosity increasing, the circular path changes into an elliptic form and the light intensity increases.

BACKGROUND Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)is a chronic autoimmune disorder impacting multiple organs,influenced by genetic factors,especially those related to the immune ***,there is a need for new biomarkers in ***-125a(miR-125a)levels are decreased in T cells,B cells,and dendritic cells of SLE ***-125a plays a regulatory role in controlling the levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)and interleukin 12(IL-12),which are crucial pro-inflammatory cytokines in SLE *** To assess the levels of miR-125a,IL-12,and TNF-αin SLE patients’plasma,evaluating their diagnostic and prognostic *** The study included 100 healthy individuals,50 newly diagnosed(ND),and 50 SLE patients undergoing *** patients were monitored for a duration of 24 wk to observe and record instances of ***-125a expression was measured using real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction,while ELISA kits were used to assess IL-12 and TNF-α*** The results showed significantly reduced miR-125a expression in SLE patients compared to healthy individuals,with the lowest levels in ND ***-αand IL-12 expression levels were significantly elevated in SLE patients,especially in the early stages of the *** operating characteristic curve analyses,and Cox-Mantel Log-rank tests indicated miR-125a,TNF-α,and IL-12 as proper diagnostic biomarkers for SLE.A negative correlation was found between plasma miR-125a expression and IL-12/TNF-αlevels in SLE *** Decreased miR-125a levels may be involved in the development of SLE,while elevated levels of IL-12 and TNF-αcontribute to immune *** findings offer new diagnostic and prognostic markers for ***,the negative correlation observed suggests an interaction between miR-125a,TNF-α,and *** research is necessary to uncover the underlying mechanisms that govern these relationships.
