Nitric oxide reductases(NORs)have a central role in denitrification,detoxification of nitric oxide(NO)in host-pathogen interactions,and NO-mediated cell-cell *** this study,we focus on the phylogeny and detection of qNOR and cNOR genes because of their nucleotide sequence similarity and evolutionary relatedness to cytochrome oxidases,their key role in denitrification,and their abundance in natural,agricultural,and wastewater *** also include nitric oxide dismutase(NOD)due to its similarity to *** 548 nor sequences from publicly accessible databases and sequenced isolates from N2O-producng bioreactors,we constructed phylogenetic trees for 289 qnor/nod genes and 259 cnorB *** trees contain evidence of horizontal gene transfer and gene duplication,with 13.4%of the sequenced strains containing two or more nor *** aligning amino acid sequences for qnor+cnor,qnor,and cnor,we identified four highly conserved regions for NOR and NOD,including two highly conserved histidine residues at the active site for qNOR and *** this approach,we identified conserved sequences for:1)all nor(nor-universal);2)all qnor(qnor-universal)and all cnor(cnor-universal);3)qnor of Comamonadaceae;4)Clade-specific sequences;and 5)nod of Candidates Methylomirabilis *** of primer performance were confirmed experimentally.

Moderate to severe perinatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy occurs in~1 to 3/1000 live births in high-income countries and is associated with a significant risk of death or neurodevelopmental *** assessment is important to help identify highrisk infants,to help families,and to support appropriate interventions.A wide range of monitoring tools is available to assess changes over time,including urine and blood biomarkers,neurological examination,and *** present,magnetic resonance imaging is unique as although it is expensive and not suited to monitoring the early evolution of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy by a week of life it can provide direct insight into the anatomical changes in the brain after hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy and so offers strong prognostic information on the long-term outcome after hypoxic-ischemic *** review investigated the temporal dynamics of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy injuries,with a particular emphasis on exploring the correlation between the prognostic implications of magnetic resonance imaging scans in the first week of life and their relationship to long-term outcome prediction,particularly for infants treated with therapeutic hypothermia.A comprehensive literature search,from 2016 to 2024,identified 20 pertinent *** review highlights that while the optimal timing of magnetic resonance imaging scans is not clear,overall,it suggests that magnetic resonance imaging within the first week of life provides strong prognostic *** challenges limit the timing consistency,particularly the need for intensive care and clinical ***,although most reports examined the prognostic value of scans taken between 4 and 10 days after birth,there is evidence from small numbers of cases that,at times,brain injury may continue to evolve for weeks after *** suggests that in the future it will be important to explore a wider range of times after hypo

AIM： To investigate if differences exist for patients＇ gastroesophageal reflux as measured by the Bravo ambulatory esophageal pH system between d 1 and d 2.METHODS： A retrospective study of 27 consecutive adult patients who underwent Bravo esophageal pH monitoring was performed. Patients underwent EGD under Ⅳ conscious sedation prior to Bravo placement. Acid reflux variables and symptom scores for d 1 were compared to d 2.RESUlTS： The mean doses of fentanyl and midazolam were 90.4 μg and 7.2 mg, respectively. D 1 results were significantly more elevated than d 2 with respect to total time pH 〈 4, upright position reflux, and mean number of long refluxes. No statistical difference was noted between the two days for supine position reflux, number of refluxes, duration of longest reflux, episodes of heartburn, and symptom score.CONClUSION： Patients undergoing Bravo esophageal pH monitoring in association with EGD and moderate conscious sedation experience significantly more acid reflux on d i compared to d 2. The Ⅳ sedation may be responsible for the increased reflux on d 1. Performed this way, 48-h Bravo results may not be entirely representative of the patients＇ true GE reflux profile.

This study provides an economics assessment of various food safety measures in China. A choice experiment approach is used to elicit Chinese consumer preferences for various food safety attributes using data from a 2008 urban consumer survey. An alternative welfare calculation is used to model aggregate market impacts of select food safety measures. Our results show that the largest welfare gains are found in the current government-run certiifcation program. The implementation of a third-party certiifcation system, a traceability network and a product label would generate signiifcant value and would help reduce current system inefifciencies in China. This study builds on previous research and provides an alternative approach for calculating consumer valuation of safety and quality attributes that can be used to estimate aggregate economic and welfare impacts.

Food hoarding is prevalent during the COVID-19 *** investigate the mechanism of urban consumers’food hoarding behaviors,we categorize hoarding motives into rational and irrational *** random online survey samples from three cities in China,we employ the multivariate probit model to investigate the rational and irrational motives on food hoarding *** results confirmed the existence of both rational and irrational food hoarding,and also found factors attributing to the different buying *** amount of food at hand and the expectation on the infection possibility of COVID-19 are two major factors affecting rational *** mood and herd psychology are factors contributing to panic *** study provides an empirical evidence to support intervention policies aiming at mitigating panic buying behavior.

A healthy nurse work environment is a workplace that is safe,empowering,and *** research studies were conducted on nurse work environments in the last decade;however,it lacks an overview of these research *** purpose of this review is to identify,evaluate,and summarize the major foci of studies about nurse work environments in the United States published between January 2005 and December 2017 and provide strategies to improve nurse work *** searched included MEDlINE via PubMed,CINAHl,PsycINFO,Nursing and Allied Health,and the Cochrane *** literature search followed the PRISMA ***-four articles were *** major themes emerged:1)Impacts of healthy work environments on nurses'outcomes such as psychological health,emotional strains,job satisfaction,and retention;2)Associations between healthy work environments and nurse interpersonal relationships at workplaces,job performance,and productivity;3)Effects of healthy work environments on patient care quality;4)Influences of healthy work environments on hospital accidental safety;and 5)Relationships between nurse leadership and healthy work *** review shows that nurses,as frontline patient care providers,are the foundation for patient safety and care *** nurse empowerment,engagement,and interpersonal relationships at work is rudimental to achieve a healthy work environment and quality patient *** work environments lead to more satisfied nurses who will result in better job performance and higher quality of patient care,which will subsequently improve healthcare organizations'financial *** a healthy work environment is a continuous effort.
