Prevalence of Female Sexual Dysfunction among Women with Pelvic Organ Prolapse Diagnosed by Pisq-12 and Related Factors in Hung Vuong Hospital, Vietnam

Pelvic organ prolapsed is a common problem today, and it has been gradually increasing because of the longevity of women. Pelvic organ prolapse can result in negative psychological feelings that affect on women’s sexual activity. Methods: There is a cross-sectional study on sexual dysfunction in 296 women with pelvic organ prolapse grade II and III followed up at gynecological-pelvic floor unit of Hung Vuong hospital from 09/2017 to 06/2018. Results: The prevalence of female sexual dysfunction in PISQ-12 was 76.4% and 95% CI [71.6 - 81.2]. The rate of female sexual dysfunction in turn is: 1) Behavioral-Emotional: 93.6% 95% CI [90.8 - 96.4]. 2) Physiology: 62.2% CI 95% [56.7 - 67.7]. 3) Relationship to partner: 89.5% 95% CI [86.0 - 93.0]. Factor related to sexual dysfunction in women with pelvic organs (p < 0.05) is general sexual dysfunction: 1) Age group: women over age 55 increased generally the risk of sexual dysfunction, OR = 5.89, 95% CI [1.38 - 25.20]. 2) Diabetes mellitus increased the risk of sexual dysfunction with OR = 5.03, 95% CI [1.42 - 17.82]. 3) Patients with previous abortions reduced the risk of sexual dysfunction with OR = 0.49 95% CI [0.27 - 0.90]. Conclusion: Research on quality of life in pelvic organ prolapse should be considered more in the future.

Background: The rate of uterus is successfully conserved following the treatment of scar pregnancy which is high so pregnancy outcome following caesarean scar ectopics is getting more and more attention. Objectives: To assess pregnancy course and outcome after conservative treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy. Methods: A retrospective case series of 40 patients become pregnancy after conservative treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy by Foley or Methotrexate and aspiration. Patients in present study were treated at Hung Vuong and Tu Du Hospital between 2015 and 2017. A telephone follow-up was conducted after cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP) treatment. The outcomes of these subsequent pregnancies and mode of delivery were all recorded. Results: In 40 pregnancies, there are 22 cases of intrauterine pregnancy with childbirth (55%);all babies were born healthy, with no complications recorded in pregnancy. 12 Women had recurrent scar ectopic (30%). There were 2 abortion cases, 2 cases of ectopic pregnancy, and 2 cases of early miscarriage. Conclusions: Our study shows that reproductive outcomes following treatment of caesarean scar ectopic pregnancies are favourable. The risk of recurrent caesarean scar ectopic pregnancy is a concern.

Emergency cerclage with advanced cervical dilatation and bulging of fetal membranes is still challenging to obstetricians.?Objective:?To identify the live birth rate after physical examination indicated rescue cerclage. Methods:?A retrospective cohort study of 36 pregnant women, who underwent rescue cerclage at Hung Vuong hospital from January 2015 to January 2019. Selection criteria: cervical dilation 10 to 40 mm, at 20 to 30 gestational weeks. Exclusion criteria: multiple pregnancy, birth defects, pregnancy termination due to maternal or fetal indications. Results: Delivery of live infant rate was 72.22%;mean pregnancy prolongation was 42.8 ±?34.15 days. Early live birth rate was 77.78%. The percentage of delivery after 34 and 37 weeks was 44.45% and 27.78%, respectively. Live birth weight was 400 to 3600?g, with mean being 1878.06 ±?1049.04?g. No procedure-related complication was observed. Conclusions:?Rescue cerclage may be an effective and safe method in prolonging pregnancy and improving neonatal outcome in women with cervical dilation 10 to 40 mm. It should be considered as a viable option for women with a dilated cervix in 20 to 30 gestational weeks. Future controlled studies are needed.

Background: Parvovirus B19 is the agent causing a regenerative anemia in organ transplant recipients, due to their immunodepressive status. The diagnosis is usually confirmed by the presence of virus in the blood and bone marrow via the PCR technique. There is a potential co-infection with other opportunistic viruses in the transplanted patients. However, this population is not routinely screened for Parvovirus B19 infection. Case Report: A 14-year-old male patient who received living-donor kidney transplantation developed a severely progressive and aregenerative anemia four weeks later. PCR of Parvovirus B19 was positive from bone marrow aspiration. There were concomittant CMV and BK virus co-infection. The treatment included a reduction of immunosuppressants, intravenous gamma globulin. Valganciclovir has been prescribed for three months that could negativate the CMV blood load. At the end, there was an eradication of parvovirus in the bone marrow. Conclusion: this first reported case in Viet Nam which informed that infection with Parvovirus B19 should be investigated in the transplanted population when a regenerative anemia is present. Otherwise, a screening strategy for Parvovirus B19 should also be considered.

A hybrid of organic/inorganic system, hollow mesoporous silica nanoparticles functionalized with poly(ethylene glycol), was synthesized in the presence of coupling agent and aminated ends. Doxorubicin(DOX) was used as a model drug to evaluate the effect of PEGylation on the loading capacity and release pattern of the *** with transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), nitrogen adsorption-desorption, thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and Fourier transformed infrared(FTIR) confirmed the PEG conjugation, as well as the amorphous mesoporous nature of the synthesized particles. Due to the capping effect of PEG molecules over the pores in the silica structure, the synthesized system was able to retain higher amount of cargo and establish a controlled manner when releasing.

Response surface method for modeling the removal of carbon dioxide from a simulated gas using water absorption enhanced with a liquid-film-forming device

this paper presents the results from using a physical absorption process to absorb gaseous CO2mixed with N2using water by producing tiny bubbles via a liquid-film-forming device（LFFD）that improves the solubility of CO2in *** influence of various parameters—pressure,initial CO2concentration,gas-to-liquid ratios,and temperature—on the CO2removal efficiency and its absorption rate in water were investigated and estimated thoroughly by statistical polynomial models obtained by the utilization of the response surface method（RSM）with a central composite design（CCD）.Based on the analysis,a high efficiency of CO2capture can be reached in conditions such as low pressure,high CO2concentration at the inlet,low gas/liquid ratio,and low *** instance,the highest removal efficiency in the RSM–CCD experimental matrix of nearly 80%occurred for run number 20,which was conducted at 0.30 MPa,CO2concentration of 35%,gas/liquid ratio of 0.71,and temperature of 15℃.Furthermore,the coefficients of determination,R^2,were 0.996 for the removal rate and 0.982 for the absorption rate,implying that the predicted values computed by the constructed models correlate strongly and fit well with the experimental *** results obtained provide essential information for implementing this method properly and effectively and contribute a promising approach to the problem of CO2capture in air pollution treatment.

The main objective of the study was to determine the effects of nutritional media and initial cell density on the growth and development of Spirulina *** study was carried out at the Center for Incubation and Technology Transfer,Hue University from May 2015 to August *** the first experiment,*** was cultured in four different nutritional media,including Zarrouk,Spi-RIA3,Nisole and Thuoc medium(Vietnamese).Resulted showed that *** grew significantly in the Zarrouk medium rather than in other nutritional medium at the same time,and gained the maximum density of 2,736.5 mg/L after 13 d inoculums,with specific growth rate of 4.987%per day and the time to doubling population of 0.139 *** the second experiment,*** was cultured in six different initial cell densities:100,400,700,1,000,1,300 and 1,600 mg/L,and the optimum nutritional medium was Zarrouk medium selected from experiment *** showed at the initial culture density of 400 mg/L,the highest biomass was gained with the maximum density of 3,071.2 mg/L after 21 d inoculums,with specific growth rate of 9.15%per day and time to double population of 0.076 *** biomass from culture in Zarrouk medium at initial cell density 400 mg/L obtained total protein of 51.98%,total lipid of 1.75%,total carbohydrate of 0.75%,carotene of 0.36%and total minerals of 5.2%,on a basis of dry matter.

Aim:Lung metastasis is a leading cause of death in patients with osteosarcoma(OS).No effective therapy exists that improves the five-year overall survival rate of OS patients with ***,finding novel therapeutic targets will help develop new treatment strategies for OS patients with lung ***:Based on analysis of gene expression profiles between sublines of the Dunn OS LM8 cell line with high(LM8-H)and low(LM8-L)metastatic ability,we have identified Wnt signal-related genes that play an important role in lung metastasis of *** of the genes was investigated by establishing sublines of gene knockout and assessing their metastatic ability using a mouse lung metastasis *** molecular mechanism underlying the function of the genes was further investigated by in vitro ***:We have identified that receptor tyrosine kinase-like orphan receptor 2(ROR2),a receptor of the non-canonical Wnt signaling pathway,was involved in OS cell survival in lung capillaries during ***8-H knocked out of Ror2(H/Ror2-KO)significantly reduced lung metastasis by decreasing the viability in lung capillaries 48 h after intravenous *** vitro study revealed that ROR2 increased anoikis resistance through AKT *** of ROR2 expression in H/Ror2-KO cells restored their metastatic ability and viability in lung ***:The results demonstrate a novel ROR2 function in OS lung metastasis and may inform new treatment strategies for OS patients.
