Lithium–sulfur batteries(LSBs)are regarded as promising candidates for the next-generation energy storage devices owing to their high-theoretical capacity(1675 mAh g^(−1))and affordable ***,several limitations of LSBs such as the lithium polysulfide shuttle,large volume expansion,and low electrical conductivity of sulfur need to be resolved for practical *** address these limitations,herein,a multidimensional architectured hybrid(Co@CNT/nG),where Co_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles are encapsulated into threedimensional(3D)porous N-doped reduced graphene oxide interconnected with carbon nanotube(CNT)branches,is synthesized through a simple pyrolysis *** synergistic effect achieved through the homogeneously distributed and encapsulated Co_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles,the interconnected CNT branches,and the 3D hierarchical porous structure and N-doping of Co@CNT/nG significantly suppresses the shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides and enhances the conversion redox kinetics for the improved sulfur *** validate this effect through various measurements including symmetric cells,Li_(2)S nucleation,shuttle currents,Tafel slopes,diffusion coefficients,and post-mortem ***,Co@CNT/nG-70S-based LSB cells achieve a high-specific capacity of 1193.1 mAh g^(−1) at 0.1 C and a low capacity decay rate of 0.030%per cycle for 700 cycles at 5 C,delivering a high areal capacity of 5.62 mAh cm^(−2) even with a loading of 6.5 mg cm^(−2).

The ipsilateral motor pathway from the unaffected motor cortex to the affected extremity is one of the motor recovery mechanisms following stroke （Jang, 2011）. Because stroke patients who had shown recovery by this mechanism usually showed poorer motor function, compared with patients who showed recovery by other mechanisms, several researchers have considered this mechanism as a maladaptive plasticity （]ang, 2013）.

Unusual neural connection between injured cingulum and brainstem in a patient with subarachnoid hemorrhage

The human brain is known to have six cholinergic nudei （Selden et al., 1998; Nieuwenhuys et al., 2008）. The cerebral cortex obtains cholinergic innervation mainly from the basalis nucleus of Meynert （Ch 4） in the bas- al forebrain through the medial and lateral cholinergic pathways （Selden et al., 1998; Mesulam et al., 1983）. The cingulum, the neural fiber bundle connecting the basal forebrain and the medial temporal lobe, contains the medial cholinergic pathway （Selden et al., 1998; hong and Jang, 2010）.

Injury of corticoreticular pathway and corticospinal tract caused by ventriculoperitoneal shunting

Ventriculoperitoneal shunting is a commonly used neurosurgical procedure for management of hydrocephalus（Jang et al.,2015）.Various complications of ventriculoperitoneal shunting have been reported,including infection,hemorrhage,shunt malfunction,shunt displacement and brain swelling（Kwon and Jang,2012,2015）.Although ventriculoperitoneal shunting can cause injury of adjacent neural tracts,little is known about injury of the neural tract by ventriculoperitoneal shunting（Kwon and Jang, 2013）.

Recovery of the corticospinal tracts injured by subfalcine herniation: a diffusion tensor tractography study

Motor weakness is one of the most serious disabling sequelae of stroke. For successful rehabilitation, thorough estimation of the state of injured neural tracts for motor function is mandatory. After development of diffusion tensor tractogra- phy （DTT）, which is derived from diffusion tensor imaging （DTI）, three-dimensional reconstruction and estimation for three motor tracts, such as the corticospinal tract, the rubrospinal tract, and the corticoreticular pathway became possible （Kunimatsu et al., 2004; Puig et al., 2010; Yang et al., 2011）. The corticospinal tract is known to be a major neural tract for motor function in the human brain （Binkofski et al., 1996）.

A segment version transcoding for client-centric wireless mobile media streaming

An object segment similarity function is taken into account from the continuous media frames to measure the individual streaming profit of certain segment versions of a media ***,a new segment version-based transcoding(SVT)mechanism is derived for a quality of service(QoS)of client-centric media streaming in wireless mobile *** derived function utilizes the fuzzy similarity of certain segment versions of an *** mechanism provides the effectiveness of reduction of the stream startup latency among segment versions,and the average access of each ***,the proposed segment version transcoding mechanism reduces packet loss which in turn increases streaming performance and *** performance of the partitioned segment versions is simulated and some segment versions are *** simulation results show that the proposed mechanism outperforms the other mechanisms in average cache hit ratio and in average startup latency ratio.

Hydrogen storage in Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier(LOHC)systems is appealing for the safe storage and distribution of excess renewable energy via existing gasoline infrastructures to *** present the eutectic mixture of biphenyl and diphenyl ether of its first use as a LOHC *** material is hydrogenated with 99%selectivity without the cleavage of C–O bond,with commercial heterogeneous catalysts,which is confirmed by nuclear magnetic spectroscopy and gas chromatography-mass *** concentration,dehydrogenation enthalpy,and thermo-neutral temperature are calculated using a density functional *** results indicate that O-atom-containing material exhibits more favorable dehydrogenation thermodynamics than that of the hydrocarbon *** H2-rich material contains6.8 wt%of gravimetric hydrogen storage capacity.A preliminary study of catalytic dehydrogenation on a continuous reactor is presented to demonstrate a reversibility of this material.

Influence of the wastewater composition on denitrification and biological P-removal in the S-DN-P process: (c) Dissolved and undissolved substrates

The denitdfication and P-removal in the sorption-denitrification-P-removal （S-DN-P） process were carded out under various wastewater compositions. It is noted that P-removal largely depends on the wastewater composition as well to the quantity of the substrates present in wastewater fraction. Three different wastewater fractions are obtained as： raw wastewater, dissolved wastewater （obtained with filtration using 0.45 μm filter）, and undissolved wastewater （i.e., infiltrate obtained by above filtration）. The ratio of P-release/CODtotal-consumption clearly inferred that undissolved wastewater possess very low value i.e., 0.0008 followed by raw wastewater 0.008 and dissolved wastewater 0.03. When this ratio was nearby 0.01, enhanced P-removal was observed. Moreover, the ratio of P-uptake to NO3^--N decomposition for raw wastewater was two times for dissolved wastewater. Interestingly, it was observed that the P-removal and denitrification depend not only on the dissolved substrates but also the undissolved substrates present in the wastewater. The result of the P-removal obtained with this S-DN-P process did not show a big difference of 36%, 34% and 30%, respectively, for raw, dissolved and undissolved wastewater.

Optimal rotor wear design in hypotrochoidal gear pump using genetic algorithm

The wear rate between the rotors of a hypotrochoidal gear pump is *** the knowledge of shape design on the rotors,the contact stresses without hydrodynamic effect between the rotor teeth were evaluated through the calculation of the Hertzian contact *** on the above results and the sliding velocity between the rotors,a genetic algorithm (GA) was used as an optimization technique forminimizing the wear rate proportional factor (WRPF).The result shows that the wear rate or the WRPF can be reduced considerably,*** 12.8%,throughout the optimization using GA.
