This research focuses on improving the Harris' Hawks Optimization algorithm (Hho) by tackling several of its shortcomings, including insufficient population diversity, an imbalance in exploration vs. exploitation, and a lack of thorough exploitation depth. To tackle these shortcomings, it proposes enhancements from three distinct perspectives: an initialization technique for populations grounded in opposition-based learning, a strategy for updating escape energy factors to improve the equilibrium between exploitation and exploration, and a comprehensive exploitation approach that utilizes variable neighborhood search along with mutation operators. The effectiveness of the Improved Harris Hawks Optimization algorithm (IHho) is assessed by comparing it to five leading algorithms across 23 benchmark test functions. Experimental findings indicate that the IHho surpasses several contemporary algorithms its problem-solving capabilities. Additionally, this paper introduces a feature selection method leveraging the IHhoalgorithm(IHho-Fs) to address challenges such as lowefficiency in feature selection and high computational costs (time to find the optimal feature combination and model response time) associated with high-dimensional datasets. Comparative analyses between IHho-Fs and six other advanced feature selection methods are conducted across eight datasets. The results demonstrate that IHho-Fs significantly reduces the computational costs associated with classification models by lowering data dimensionality, while also enhancing the efficiency of feature selection. Furthermore, IHho-Fs shows strong competitiveness relative to numerous algorithms. © 2024 The Authors. Published by Tech science Press.

A facile chemical method for the development of photocatalytic coating products was proposed based on practical application perspective for the hong Kong roadside nitrogen oxides(NO_(x))***_(2)-based photocatalytic coating PC-C film with crystallized size of around 5–6 nm was synthesized with the peptization of H_(2)O_(2).The PC-C coating possesses a super-hydrophilicity surface and is proven to have a NO_(x)degradation rate of 46.8%with an optimum pH level of *** addition,the PC-C coating presents a promising photocatalytic NO_(x)degradation compared with other commercially available coating products and P25 when applied on two building materials of poly-methyl methacrylate(PMMA)and concrete surface.A weather resistance simulation and a 180-day on-site field trial were carried out the attenuation effects of photocatalytic coating applied in outdoor *** on epidemiological estimation and field investigation,hospital admissions for respiratory diseases(HARD)and mortality cases(MC)could be reduced with the application of PC-C coating along the street *** work demonstrates the feasibility of air pollution control measures for the local roadside NO_(x)using photocatalytic technology,offering promising health benefits with environmental remediation.

We investigated the emission properties of Eu^(3+)-doped GdNbO_(4)-based oxide phosphors,aiming at improving the Eu^(3+)emission by codoping of Bi^(3+)and Li^(+).Eu^(3+)singly doped,Eu^(3+)and Bi^(3+)doubly doped,and Eu^(3+),Bi^(3+),and Li^(+)triply doped GdNbO_(4)were prepared using a high-temperature solid-state reaction *** red-orange emissions from Eu^(3+)in the singly doped samples are significantly improved by the codoping of Bi^(3+),mainly due to the energy transfer from Bi^(3+)to Eu^(3+).The additional codoping of Li^(+)is found to increase the Eu^(3+)emission *** improvement might be attributed to the increase in the photoluminescent quantum yield originating from larger grain sizes and better crystallinity.A detailed analysis of the X-ray diffraction pattern and the asymmetric ratio estimated from the photoluminescence spectra show that the local lattice environment around Eu^(3+)in GdNbO_(4)does not change significantly with the codoping of Bi^(3+)and Li^(+).Our results indicate that Li^(+)doping is a promising way to improve the emission properties of rare-earth ion-doped GdNbO_(4)phosphors.

Objectives: We sought to investigate electrophysiological characteristics and catheter ablation in patients with focal atrial tachycardia(AT) originating from the non-coronary aortic sinus(As). Background: In patients with failed ablation of focal AT near the His bundle(HB) region, an origin from the non-coronary As should be considered because of the close anatomical relationship. Methods: This study included 9 patients with focal AT, in 6 of whom attempted radiofrequency(RF) ablation had previous.y.failed. Activation mapping was performed during tachycardia to identify an earliest activation in the atria and the As. The aortic root angiography was performed to identify the origin in the As before RF ablation. Results: Focal AT was reproducibly induced by atrial pacing. Mapping in atria demonstrated that the earliest atrial activation was located at the HB region, whereas mapping in the non-coronary As demonstrated that an earliest atrial activation preceded the atrial activation at the HB by 12.2±6.9 ms and was anatomically located superoposterior to the HB in all 9 patients. Also, His potentials were not found at the successful site in the non-coronary As in all 9 patients. The focal AT was terminated ins in all 9 patients. Junctional beats and PR prolongation did not occur during RF application in all 9 patients. No complications occurred in any of the nine patients. All 9 patients were free of arrhythmias without antiarrhythmic drugs during a follow-up of 9±3 months. Conclusions: In patients with focal AT near the HB region, mapping in the non-coronary As can improve clinical outcome.

The triggering mechanism for radio lobes from late-type galaxies is not fully *** samples are desired for a thorough investigation and *** utilizing the optical data from the newly released Dark Energy spectroscopic Instrument imaging surveys and the radio sources from the NRAO VLA s.y.survey and the Faint Images of the Radio s.y.at Twenty-centimeter,we identify four Late-type Galaxies with double Radio Lobes(La GRLs):J0217-3645,J0947+6220,J1412+3723 and J1736+*** previous.y.known La GRLs,we confirm the correlation between radio power P_(1.4GHz)and stellar mass M_(*)of host ***(25/35)La GRLs belong to the blue cloud galaxies,while the newly identified cases in this work are located within the region of the red *** find a clear correlation between the differential radio power,i.e.,the offset from the P_(1.4GHz)-M_(*)relation,and the galaxy color,indicating that bluer galaxies at a fixed M_(*)tend to host more powerful radio ***,the majority(31/36)of La GRLs are either located in a galaxy group or displaying a disturbed *** suggest that all of the galaxy mass,color and surrounding environment could play important roles in triggering radio lobes in late-type galaxies.

In this study,we investigated the anomalous Chromomagnetic Dipole Moment(CMDM),denoted as μ_(q)^(BLHM),of light quarks q=(u,c,d,s,b) within the framework of the Bestest Little Higgs Model(BLHM)as an extension of the standard Model(sM).Our investigation encompassed novel interactions among the light quarks,heavy quark B,and heavy bosons (W'^(±),H^(±),φ^(±),η^(±))incorporating the extended Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa(CKM)matrix characteristic of the *** thoroughly explored the permissible parameter space,yielding a spectrum of CMDM values ranging from 10^(-10) to 10^(-3).

Cross-site scripting (Xss) remains a significant threat to web application security, exploiting vulnerabilities to hijack user sessions and steal sensitive data. Traditional detection methods often fail to keep pace with the evolving sophistication of cyber threats. This paper introduces a novel hybrid ensemble learning framework that leverages a combination of advanced machine learning algorithms-Logistic Regression (LR), support Vector Machines (sVM), eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), Categorical Boosting (CatBoost), and Deep Neural Networks (DNN). Utilizing the Xss-Attacks-2021 dataset, which comprises 460 instances across various real-world trafficrelated scenarios, this framework significantly enhances Xss attack detection. Our approach, which includes rigorous feature engineering and model tuning, not only optimizes accuracy but also effectively minimizes false positives (FP) (0.13%) and false negatives (FN) (0.19%). This comprehensive methodology has been rigorous.y.validated, achieving an unprecedented accuracy of 99.87%. The proposed system is scalable and efficient, capable of adapting to the increasing number of web applications and user demands without a decline in performance. It demonstrates exceptional real-time capabilities, with the ability to detect Xss attacks dynamically, maintaining high accuracy and low latency even under significant loads. Furthermore, despite the computational complexity introduced by the hybrid ensemble approach, strategic use of parallel processing and algorithmtuning ensures that the system remains scalable and performs robustly in real-time applications. Designed for easy integration with existing web security systems, our framework supports adaptable Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and a modular design, facilitating seamless augmentation of current defenses.
