Fiber-shaped dye-sensitized solar cells(FDssCs)represent promising futuristic flexible or wearable power sources,owing to their simple fabrication process,light weight,weavability,and *** with strategies on changing the properties of semiconductor materials,the effects of incorporating silver-embedded SiO_(2) nanoparticles(Ag@SiO_(2)NPs)on the photoanodes of solid-state FDssCs(ss-FDssCs)are *** power conversion efficiency(PCE)of ss-FDssCs with Ag@SiO_(2) NPs reaches 5.38%,which is comparable to the reference(3.98%).The PCEs remain at 95%between-16.9 and 91.7℃,indicating the operational stability of ss-FDssCs within this temperature *** fabricated ss-FDssCs,whose radii were 2 mm,maintains more than 90%of their efficiency over 500 bending cycles and 10 washing cycles.

The Roles of Female Involvement and Risk Aversion in Open Access Publishing Patterns in Vietnamese Social Sciences and Humanities

Purpose:The open-access(OA)publishing model can help improve researchers’outreach,thanks to its accessibility and visibility to the ***,the presentation of female researchers can benefit from the O A publishing *** that,little is known about how gender affects OA ***,the current study explores the effects of female involvement and risk aversion on OA publishing patterns among Vietname se social sciences and ***/methodology/approach:The study employed Bayesian Mindsponge Framework(BMF)on a dataset of 3,122 Vietnamese social sciences and humanities(ss&H)publications during *** Mindsponge mechanism was specifically used to construct theoretical models,while Bayesian inference was utilized for fitting ***:The result showed a positive association between female participation and OA publishing ***,the positive effect of female involvement on OA publishing probability was negated by the high ratio of female researchers in a *** status was negatively associated with the JIF of the journal in which the publication was published,but the relationship was moderated by the involvement of a female researcher(s).The findings suggested that Vietnamese female researchers might be more likely to publish under the OA model in journals with high JIF for avoiding the risk of public *** limitations:The study could only provide evidence on the association between female involvement and OA publishing ***,whether to publish under OA terms is often determined by the first or corresponding authors,but not necessarily *** implications:Systematically coordinated actions are suggested to better support women and promote the OA movement in ***/value:The findings show the OA publishing patterns of female researchers in Vietnamese ss&H.

Solid-state fiber dye-sensitized solar cells(ss-FDssCs) have been the subject of intensive attention and development in recent years. Although this field is only in its infancy, metal–organic frameworks(MOFs) are one such material that has been utilized to further improve the power conversion efficiency of solar cells. In this study, MOF-integrated DssCs were shown to have potential in the development of solar cell devices with efficiency comparable to or better than that of conventional solar cells. The power conversion efficiency(PCE) of ss-FDssCs was improved by embedding MOF-801 into a mesoporous-TiO_(2)(mp-TiO_(2)) layer, which was used as a photoanode in ss-FDssCs, which are inherently flexible. The PCE of the MOF-integrated ss-FDssCs was 6.50%, which is comparable to that of the reference devices(4.19%).The MOF-801 enhanced ss-FDssCs decreased the series resistance(R_(s)) value, resulting in effective electron extraction with improved short-circuit current density(J_(SC)), while also increasing the shunt resistance(R_(sh)) value to prevent the recombination of photo-induced electrons. The result is an improved fill factor and, consequently, a higher value for the PCE.

The refined physical parameters of transiting exoplanet system HAT-P-24

The transiting exoplanet system HAT-P-24 was observed by using CCD cameras at Yunnan Observatory and hokoon Astronomical Centre, China in 2010 and 2012. In order to enhance the signal to noise ratio of transit events, the observed data are corrected for systematic errors according to Collier Cameron et al.＇s coarse de- correlation and Tamuz et al.＇s SYSREM algorithms. Three new complete transit light curves are analyzed by means of the Markov chain Monte Carlo technique, and the new physical parameters of the system are derived. They are consistent with the old ones from the discovered paper except for a new larger radius Rp = 1.364 Rj of HAT- P-24b, which confirms its inflated nature. By combining the five available epochs of mid-transit derived from complete transit light curves, the orbital period of HAT-P- 24b is refined to P = 3.3552479 d and no obvious transit timing variation signal can be found from these five transit events during 2010-2012.

Research on CeO2 cap layer for YBCO-coated conductor

Two groups of coated conductor samples with different thicknesses of CeO2 cap layers deposited by pulsed laser deposition （PLD） under the same conditions have been studied. Of them, one group is of CeO2 films, which are deposited on stainless steel （ss） tapes coated by IBAD-YSZ （IBAD-YSZ/ss）, and the other group is of CeO2/YSZ/Y2O3 multilayers, which are deposited on NiW substrates by PLD for the fabrication of YBCO-coated conductor through the RABiTS approach. YBCO film is then deposited on the tops of both types of buffer layers by PLD. The effects of the thickness of the CeO2 film on the texture of the CeO2 film and the critical current density （Jc） of the YBCO film are analysed. For the case of CeO2 film on IBAD-YSZ/ss, there appears a self-epitaxy effect with increasing thickness of the CeO2 film. For CeO2/YSZ/Y2O3/NiW, in which the buffer layers are deposited by PLD, there occurs no self-epitaxy effect, and the optimal thickness of CeO2 is about 50 nm. The surface morphologies of the two groups of samples are examined by SEM.

Long-term transit timing monitoring and homogenous study of WASP-32

We report new photometric observations of the transiting exoplanetary system WASP-32 made by using CCD cameras at Yunnan Observatories and ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre, China from 2010 to 2012. Following our usual procedure, the observed data are corrected for systematic errors according to the coarse decorrelation and SYSREM algorithms so as to enhance the signal of the transit events. Combined with radial velocity data presented in the literature, our newly observed data and earlier photometric data in the literature are simultaneously analyzed to derive the physical parameters describing the system by employing the Markov chain Monte Carlo technique. The derived parameters are consistent with the result published in the original paper about WASP-32b, but the uncertainties of the new parameters are smaller than those in the original paper. Moreover, our modeling result supports a circular orbit for WASP-32b. Through the analysis of all available mid-transit times, we have refined the orbital period of WASP-32b; no evident transit timing variation is found in these transit events.
