In the autumn of 2010,a large outbreak was reported in Guangdong Province through the acute viral conjunctivitis (AHC) surveillance system,resulting in more than 69,000 *** the 69,635 cases reported during the August-October period in 2010,73.5 % of index cases originated from students,children in kindergarten and workers in *** male to female ratio was 1.84:1 among 0-19 years.56 representative specimens collected from different regions in Guangdong Province were used for virus isolation and molecular-based ***24v was confirmed as the etiological pathogen of the ***,the phylogenetic analysis for the VP1 and 3C region on the viral genome was performed for 16 CA24v isolates,with results indicating that they belonged to the same genomic group ***,full nucleotide sequences for two representative isolates in 2010 were determined and compared with others,and frequent protein mutations were found in the multiple *** conclusion,a CA24v strain caused the 2010 AHC outbreak in Guangdong *** were the main population *** population density,an adaptive climate,and new mutations in the viral nucleic acids and proteins may have contributed to the outbreak.

The dual-specificity tyrosine-regulated kinase (DYRK) family is evolutionarily conserved from invertebrate to mammals. DYRKs regulate cell proliferation, apoptosis, survival, and differentiation by modifying the protein activation state, cellular localization, and turnover. In contrast to several studies in cellular models, the available evidence regarding the in vivo roles of DYRKs in mammalian development is limited. This review summarizes the in vivo studies on Dyrks which provide insight into their roles in mammalian tissue development and congenital diseases. In vivo evidence obtained using knockout and genetically modified animals helps to understand and develop novel clinical therapies and drug for human congenital diseases, such as Down syndrome and neuronal disorders (associated with DYRK1A) and skeletal ciliopathies (associated with DYRK2).

AIM To elucidate the factors associated with residual gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD) symptoms in patients receiving proton pump inhibitor(PPI) maintenance therapy in clinical *** The study included 39 GERD patients receiving maintenance PPI therapy. Residual symptoms were assessed using the Frequency Scale for Symptoms of GERD(FSSG) questionnaire and the Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale(GSRS). The relationships between the FSSG score and patient background factors, including the CYP2C19 genotype, were *** The FSSG scores ranged from 1 to 28 points(median score: 7.5 points), and 19 patients(48.7%) had a score of 8 points or more. The patients' GSRS scores were significantly correlated with their FSSG scores(correlation coefficient = 0.47, P < 0.005). In erosive esophagitis patients, the FSSG scores of the CYP2C19 rapid metabolizers(RMs) were significantly higher than the scores of the poor metabolizers and intermediate metabolizers(total scores: 16.7 ± 8.6 vs 7.8 ± 5.4, P < 0.05; acid reflux-related symptom scores: 12 ± 1.9 vs 2.5 ± 0.8, P < 0.005). In contrast, the FSSG scores of the CYP2C19 RMs in the non-erosive reflux disease patients were significantly lower than those of the other patients(total scores: 5.5 ± 1.0 vs 11.8 ± 6.3, P < 0.05; dysmotility symptom-related scores: 1.0 ± 0.4 vs 6.0 ± 0.8, P < 0.01). CONCLUSION Approximately half of the GERD patients receiving maintenance PPI therapy had residual symptoms associated with a lower quality of life, and the CYP2C19 genotype appeared to be associated with these residual symptoms.

Most of life maintains itself through turnover, namely cell proliferation, movement and elimination. Hydra＇s cells, for example, disappear continuously from the ends of tenta- cles, but these cells are replenished by cell proliferation within the body. Inspired by such a biological fact, and together with various operations of polynomials, I here propose polynomial-life model toward analysis of some phenomena in multicellular organisms. Polynomial life consists of multicells that are expressed as multivariable polynomials. A cell is expressed as a term of polynomial, in which point （m, n） is described as a term zmy~ and the condition is described as its coefficient. Starting with a single term and following reductions by set of polynomials, I simulate the development from a cell to a multicell. In order to confirm uniqueness of the eventual multicell-pattern, GrSbner base can be used, which has been conventionally used to ensure uniqueness of normal form in the mathematical context. In this framework, I present various patterns through the polynomial-life model and discuss patterns maintained through turnover. Cell elimina- tion seems to play an important role in turnover, which may shed some light on cancer or regenerative medicine.

A predual of B_σ-spaces is investigated. A predual of a predual of B_σ-spaces is also investigated,which can be used to investigate the boundedness property of the commutators. The relation between Herz spaces and local Morrey spaces is discussed. As an application of the duality results, one obtains the boundedness of the singular integral operators, the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operators and the fractional integral operators, as well as the commutators generated by the bounded mean oscillation(BMO) and the singular integral *** is new in this paper is that we do not have to depend on the specific structure of the operators. The results on the boundedness of operators are formulated in terms of B_σ-spaces and B_σ-spaces together with the detailed comparison of the ones in Herz spaces and local Morrey spaces. Another application is the nonsmooth atomic decomposition adapted to B_σ-spaces.

About three decades after the establishment of the plate tec- tonics theory in the late 1960s, Maruyama （1994） proposed the ＂plume tectonics＂ theory based on whole-mantle seismic tomogra- phy image （Fukao, 1992; Fukao et al., 1994）. According to this the- ory, the earth＇s interior is divided into three regimes： the earth＇s surface region governed by lateral motions of tectonic plates, the mantle governed by vertical motions of ＂superplumes＂（i.e., large- scale mantle upwelling/downwelling plumes）, and the core, whose convection style is probably controlled by superplumes in the mantle. With the rapid progress in earth science after the birth of the plume tectonics theory, it is now widely accepted that various geological phenomena observed in the earth＇s surface are closely linked to the fluid motion in the deep mantle （e.g., Davies, 2011）.

Text mining, also known as discovering knowledge from the text, which has emerged as a possible solution for the current information explosion, refers to the process of extracting non-trivial and useful patterns from unstructured text. Among the general tasks of text mining such as text clustering, summarization, etc, text classification is a subtask of intelligent information processing, which employs unsupervised learning to construct a classifier from training text by which to predict the class of unlabeled text. Because of its simplicity and objectivity in performance evaluation, text classification was usually used as a standard tool to determine the advantage or weakness of a text processing method, such as text representation, text feature selection, etc. In this paper, text classification is carried out to classify the Web documents collected from XSSC Website （http：//***）. The performance of support vector machine （SVM） and back propagation neural network （BPNN） is compared on this task. Specifically, binary text classification and multi-class text classification were conducted on the XSSC documents. Moreover, the classification results of both methods are combined to improve the accuracy of classification. An experiment is conducted to show that BPNN can compete with SVM in binary text classification; but for multi-class text classification, SVM performs much better. Furthermore, the classification is improved in both binary and multi-class with the combined method.

In this study,we explored the deformation mechanisms of Mg single crystals using a combination of scanning electron microscopy and electron backscattered diffraction in conjunction with a dedicated four-point bending *** prepared two single-crystal samples,oriented along theanddirections,to assess the mechanisms of deformation when the initial basal slip was *** thesample,the primary{1012}twin(T1)was confirmed along thedirection of the sample on the compression side with an increase in bending *** thesample,T1 and the secondary twin(T2)were confirmed to be along thedirection,with an orientation of±60°with respect to the bending stress direction,and their direction matched with(0001)in T1 and *** result implies that crystallographically,the basal slip occurs *** addition,thesample showed the double twin in T1 on the compression side and the tertiary twin along thedirection on the tension *** results demonstrated that the maximum bending stress and displacement changed significantly under the bend loading because the deformation mechanisms were different for these single ***,the correlation between bending behavior and twin orientation was determined,which would be helpful for optimizing the bending properties of Mg-based materials.
