A novel extended methodology for chatter suppression in milling process by applying external forced vibrations to the workpiece in two orthogonal directions which are the feed and cross-feed *** the regenerative and forced chatter suppression during the milling process of flexible workpieces are ***,the workpiece is subject to a sinusoidal periodic force in the feed direction to disrupt the regenerative ***,to minimize the forced chatter,the workpiece is subject to the periodic excitation force in cross-feed *** force is proportional to the magnitude of the estimated cutting force in cross-feed direction and has a phase opposite to the cutting force to minimize the vibration *** effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated numerically and experimentally,for the spindle speed located in both the local minima and local maxima of the stability lobe *** numerical simulations indicate significant suppression effect in terms of vibration amplitudes,resulting in suppression of both the regenerative chatter and the forced *** were conducted by using a workpiece-mounted active stage composed of flexure hinges and driven by piezoelectric *** experimental results agree qualitatively with the numerical *** proposed method indicates a remarkable vibration reduction effect for both regenerative and forced chatters.

Understanding organic matter characteristics(e.g., amount and state) of sediments is necessary for evaluating both the sediment and water environments; however, methods that have been proposed to investigate these characteristics are relatively expensive. This study attempted to evaluate the organic matter characteristics of littoral sediments by employing solely the loss on ignition(LOI)method, which is the most economical and accessible method in developing countries. Different types of sediments were first oven dried at 100℃ and then continuously burned at 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600℃ for 4 h at each temperature. The mass LOI at each temperature was calculated and compared with the 100℃ oven-dried weight. Our results suggested that the mass LOI across the temperature range of 200–300℃(LOI_(200-300)):mass LOI at 600℃(LOI_(600)) ratio(LOI_(200-300)/LOI_(600)) could represent different types of sediments as well as the organic matter:organic C ratio. Compared with the sediments unaffected by wastewater, the sediments that were more influenced by the inflow of domestic wastewater had a higher LOI_(200-300)/LOI_(600). Interestingly, LOI_(200-300)/LOI_(600) could also represent changes in the organic matter characteristics as a function of organic matter decomposition in sediments. In conclusion, the organic matter characteristics of littoral sediments could be evaluated using solely the LOI method, particularly with LOI_(200-300)/LOI_(600).

China has large regional disparities in carbon dioxide CO_(2) emissions with economic development among its 31 provincial mainland *** paper investigates these disparities in CO_(2) emission patterns and identifies the factors underlying the *** show that the 30 study China's mainland provinces(Tibet not included)can be divided into seven groups with three typical CO_(2) emission *** decomposition results indicate that changes in economic development,the industrial sector,and technology contribute far more to increased CO_(2) emissions than do population,energy structure,and other *** inspection reveals that different industry structures and technology contribute greatly to the differences observed in CO_(2) emissions between provinces with similar economic *** study highlights the importance of region-specific industrial structure adjustment policies,especially for regions transitioning to heavy industry and for those still in the primary stages of *** potential application of a domestic carbon emissions trading system,to encourage regional investment in updated technology,is also discussed.

The relationship between phase transformation and electric resistivity of Ti-42.6Ni-7Cu SMA was *** the isothermal tensile tests,stress-strain curve shows large hysteresis and nonlinearity,whereas the resistivity-strain curve can be fitted by *** resistivity of SMAs can be determined from the volume fractions of the martensitic and austenitic *** characteristics leads to that the resistance of the SMAs is used as a parameter of strain of SMAs.A SMA actuator using resistance feedback control system was proposed,which can control and retain positioning at any positions without using sensor devices,and the deviation of position of this system was less than 3 μm.

Camel milk is traditionally considered to have medicinal characteristics that it has potential health benefits and could help to treat several illnesses. Particularly, it is closest to human breast milk and has high levels of nutrients and bioactive components. The aim of this study was to explore the antioxidant peptides derived from protein fractions of camel milk. Camel milk proteins(CMP) were fractionated into camel casein protein(CCP) and camel whey protein(CWP), which were hydrolyzed with pepsin to produce peptic digests P-CCP and P-CWP, respectively. RP-HPLC was used for fractionation of the peptides from the P-CCP and P-CWP. The antioxidant activities were evaluated using superoxide anion generating system of xanthine oxidase(XOD)and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) scavenging assay. Active peptides were analyzed using matrixassisted laser desorption ionization time of flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF-MS) whereas a number of antioxidant peptides, with masses ranging from 913 to 2,951 Da, derived mainly from alpha-casein, lactophorin and lactoferrin, were identified. When yeast cells are used as a system for modeling mitochondrial disease, the peptides in caseins and whey fractions significantly enhanced the tolerance of yeast cells against peroxide-induced oxidative stress. The results show that both caseins and whey proteins of camel milk possess bioactive peptides with significant radical-scavenging activities and thus herald a fascinating opportunity for their potential as nutraceuticals or therapeutic peptides for prevention and treatment of oxidative stress-associated diseases.

Ornithine transcarbamylase （OTC） deficiency is an X-linked trait that accounts for nearly half of all inherited disorders of the urea cycle. OTC is one of the enzymes common to both the urea cycle and the bacterial arginine biosynthesis pathway; however, the role of OTC has changed over evolution. For animals with a urea cycle, defects in OTC can trigger hyperammonemic episodes that can lead to brain damage and death. This is the fifth mutation update for human OTC with previous updates reported in 1993, 1995, 2002, and 2006. In the 2006 update, 341 mutations were reported. This current update contains 417 disease-causing mutations, and also is the first report of this series to incorporate information about natural variation of the OTC gene in the general population through examination of publicly available genomic data and examination of phenotype/genotype correlations from patients participating in the Urea Cycle Disorders Consortium Longitudinal Study and the first to evaluate the suitability of systematic computational approaches to predict severity of disease associated with different types of OTC mutations.

Xanthogranulomatous Inflammation of Myometrium Causing Pelvic Extension: Report of Two Cases

Background: Xanthogranulomatous inflammation of the female reproductive organs is a rare chronic inflammation. In most reported cases, the lesion was limited to the endometrium and fallopian tubes. Here, we report two cases of xanthogranulomatous inflammation of the myometrium with a history of endometrial biopsy. Case Reports: In two cases, myometrial xanthogranulomatous inflammation destroyed the myometrium. This inflammation developed into surrounding pelvic organs, resulting in uterine perforation. Conclusion: When inflammatory lesions are found after intrauterine manipulation, the possibility of developing xanthogranulomatous inflammation should be considered. If antibiotics are ineffective, prompt surgical treatment is necessary.

The utilization of spin crossover(SCO)to modulate the luminescence properties in smart multifunctional materials and multichannel sensors is ***,it is challenging to build a strong coupling between SCO and luminescence in one ***,we present a mononuclear compound[Fe(tpe-abpt)_(2)(SeCN)_(2)]·4DMF(1·4DMF,tpe-abpt:(4-(1,1,2,2-tetraphenylethene))-N-(3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4yl)methanimine)showing aggregation-induced emission(AIE)and thermally induced SCO ***-temperature single-crystal structural analysis reveals that SCO changes the number of pathways and strength of intermolecular interactions,resulting in deactivation of nonradiative decay and significant enhancement of *** photoluminescence(PL)intensity of 1·4DMF exhibited a fivefold increase upon the spin transition from the low-spin to the high-spin *** contrast with the current strategy of controlling the Förster resonance energy transfer(FRET)process by utilizing SCO to tune the overlap degree between the emission band of the luminophore and UV–vis absorption band of high-spin and low-spin states,we developed a new approach to tune the intermolecular interactions between AIE luminogens(AIEgens)by utilizing a subtle SCO-induced structural transformation,therefore leading to effective coupling between SCO and luminescence and a significant change in luminescence upon *** results provide a rational strategy to build smartmultifunctionalizedmaterials with remarkably synergetic SCO and luminescence.

Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsy (EUS-FNA) is a useful procedure that enables reliable pathological diagnoses of pancreatobiliary diseases, subepithelial lesions, and swollen lymph nodes. In recent years, a pathological diagnosis based on EUS-FNA has made it possible to provide accurate treatment methods not only in these fields, but also in respiratory organs and otorhinolaryngology. This review discusses the latest topics pertaining to EUS-FNA as well as procedural tips.
