The Edlén empirical equations and the two-color method are the commonly used approaches to converting a length measured in air to the corresponding length in vacuum to eliminate the influence of the refractive index of air. However, it is not well known whether the two-color method is superior to empirical equations in refractive index compensation. We investigated the uncertainties of these approaches via numerical calculations of their sensitivity coefficients of environmental parameters. On the basis of a comparison of their uncertainties, we found that in a 0% humidity environment, the two-color method had potential to provide greater measurement accuracy than the empirical equations.

本文介绍一种建立知识库的学习方法。从人类专家吸取知识的知识获取系统有两种类型:交互式和非交互式的。本文介绍非交互式知识获取系统,它依据观察从人类专家获得知识。这种知识获取系统学习人类专家用以解决问题的策略和从瞬时序列数据中抽取逻辑规则,其学习方法是基于翻译的学习(IBL),在学习过程中要用到预备知识。IBL 有两个子系统:翻译系统和学习系统。前者负责把现实世界的信息翻译成内部规则形式,而规则维护系统负责生成和界定知识。本文将介绍翻译系统和规则生成的预处理过程。

We conducted structural analysis of xNa2O-yY2O3-5B2O3-3Al2O3 and xNa2O-yLa2O3-5B2O3-3Al2O3 glasses to elucidate the additive effects of rare-earth ions in these sodium aluminoborate glasses, and investigated the local environment surrounding Na+ in them by using 23Na and 27Al magic angle spinning?nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS NMR) spectroscopy. The amount of higher-coordinated Al species ([5]Al and [6]Al) gradually increased in response to an increase in the ratios of Y2O3 to Al2O3 and La2O3 to Al2O3 in each type of glass, respectively. Moreover, the difference in the cation field strength (CFS) between Y3+ and La3+ was observed to affect the generation of [5]Al and [6]Al, especially when the amount of these ions in the glasses increased. In addition to the above, the coordination number of Na+ ions increased with an increase in the number of rare earth ions, confirmed by comparing results with NMR spectra of crystalline Na2Al2B2O7. The latter possibly occurred due to the oxygen concentration on Al[5] and Al[6]. Finally, it was confirmed that the formation of [5]Al and [6]Al decreases molar volume in oxide glasses, which might be partially due to better atomic packing of [5]Al and [6]Al.

BACKGROUND Previous studies have revealed that patients with asymptomatic common bile duct(CBD)stones are at a high risk of developing post-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP)pancreatitis(PEP).However,no studies to date have addressed the risk factors for PEP in patients with asymptomatic CBD *** To examine the risk factors for PEP in patients with asymptomatic CBD *** Using medical records of three institutions in Japan for 6 years,we identified a total of 1135 patients with choledocholithiasis including 967 symptomatic patients and 168 asymptomatic patients with native papilla who underwent therapeutic *** performed univariate and multivariate analyses to examine the risk factors for PEP in the 168 patients with asymptomatic CBD *** The overall incidence rate of PEP in all the patients with during study period was 4.7%(53/1135).Of the 168 patients with asymptomatic CBD stones,24(14.3%)developed *** univariate analysis,precut sphincterotomy(P=0.009)and biliary balloon sphincter dilation(P=0.043)were significant risk factors for *** multivariate analysis,precut sphincterotomy(P=0.002,95%CI:2.2-27.8,odds ratio=7.7),biliary balloon sphincter dilation(P=0.015,95%CI:1.4-17.3,odds ratio=4.9),and trainee endoscopists(P=0.048,95%CI:1.01-8.1,odds ratio=2.9)were significant risk factors for *** ERCP for asymptomatic CBD stones should be performed by experienced *** performing precut sphincterotomy or biliary balloon sphincter dilation in patients with asymptomatic CBD stones,the placement of a prophylactic pancreatic stent is strongly recommended to prevent PEP.

AIM：To examine the effects of patient age,canalicular obstruction,mode of anesthesia,and duration of nasolacrimal intubation on the outcomes of endoscopic endonasal dacryocystorhinostomy（DCR）. METHODS： Totally 56 eyes of 46 patients with prolonged epiphora underwent minimally invasive endoscopic endonasal DCR.A successful surgical outcome was defined as a significant improvement in symptoms,adequate water passage from the puncta to the nasal cavity,and patency of the DCR *** outcomes were assessed at least 6mo after ***＇s exact test was used to discuss the factors,and then the logistic regression analysis was made by SAS9.4 ***： The overall success rate was 75.0%,and complete resolution was observed in 27 *** success rate was higher for patients with ≥6mo intubation than for those with 〈6mo ***,there were no significant differences in outcomes between groups stratified by age（〈65 or ≥65y）,presence or absence of canalicular obstruction,mode of anesthesia（local or general）,and use or nonuse of a radiowave *** patient developed subcutaneous emphysema around the eye and nose and one developed subcutaneous hemorrhage after surgery. CONCLUSION： Endoscopic endonasal DCR can be considered safe and minimally invasive with reasonable success rates,particularly when the duration of nasolacrimal intubation is ≥6mo.

Occult hepatitis B virus infection and surgical outcomes in non-B, non-C patients with curative resection for hepatocellular carcinoma

AIM To investigate the prevalence, clinicopathological characteristics and surgical outcomes of occult hepatitis B virus(HBV) infection(OBI) in patients with non-B, non-C(NBNC) hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS This study retrospectively examined the cases of 78 NBNC patients with curative resection for HCC for whom DNA could be extracted from formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue. OBI was determined by the HBV-DNA amplification of at least two different sets of primers by TaqM an realtime polymerase chain reaction. Possibly carcinogenetic factors such as alcohol abuse, diabetes mellitus, obesity and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH) were examined. Surgical outcomes were evaluated according to diseasefree survival(DFS), overall survival(OS) and diseasespecific survival(DSS).RESULTS OBI was found in 27/78 patients(34.6%) with NBNC HCC. The OBI patients were significantly younger than the non-OBI cases at the time of surgery(average age 63.0 vs 68.1, P = 0.0334) and the OBI cases overlapped with other etiologies significantly more frequently compared to the non-OBI cases(P = 0.0057). OBI had no impact on the DFS, OS or DSS. Only tumorrelated factors affected these surgical *** Our findings indicate that OBI had no impact on surgical outcomes. The surgical outcomes of NBNC HCC depend on early tumor detection; this reconfirms the importance of a periodic medical examination for individuals who have NBNC HCC risk factors.

用共沉淀法制备了Ａｌ２Ｏ３－ＹＡＧ复合粉体，ＹＡＧ的结晶温度在１０００℃左右．共沉淀法制备的Ａｌ２Ｏ３－ＹＡＧ复合粉体经１５５０℃热压烧结，获得致密烧结体，ＹＡＧ的加入量对烧结温度的影响不大．Ａｌ２Ｏ３－５ｖｏｌ％ＹＡＧ复合材料的抗弯强度为６０４ＭＰａ，断裂韧性为５．０ＭＰａｍ１／２；Ａｌ２Ｏ３－２５ｖｏｌ％ＹＡＧ复合材料的抗弯强度为６１１ＭＰａ，断裂韧性为４５ＭＰａｍ１／２．所有这些数据都高于单相Ａｌ２Ｏ３陶瓷的力学性能，说明ＹＡＧ的加入有利于Ａ１２Ｏ３陶瓷力学性能的提高．通过显微结构观察发现：大的ＹＡＧ颗粒位于Ａｌ２Ｏ３晶界上，小的ＹＡＧ颗粒位于Ａｌ２Ｏ３晶粒内．在Ａｌ２Ｏ３－５ｖｏｌ％ＹＡＧ复合材料中，许多小的白色区域存在于Ａｌ２Ｏ３晶粒内，这可能和较低的Ｙ２Ｏ３含量有关．
