Effect of phosphorus fluctuation caused by river water dilution in eutrophic lake on competition between blue-green alga Microcystis aeruginosa and diatom Cyclotella sp.

Tega-numa （Lake Tega） is one of the eutrophic lakes in Japan. For the improvement of water quality in Lake Tega, the North- chiba Water Conveyance Channel was constructed in 2000, which transfer water from Tone River into the lake. After 2000, the dominant species of diatoms, mainly Cyclotella sp., have been replacing blue-green algae, mainly Microcystis aeruginosa in Lake Tega. This transition of dominant species would be due to the dilution, but the detail mechanism has not been understood yet. This study examined the relationship between phosphorus fluctuation caused by river water dilution to Lake Tega and dominance of algal species, M. aeruginosa or Cyclotella sp. based on the single-species and the mixed-species culture experiments. The single-species culture experiment showed that the half-saturation constant and uptake rate of phosphorus were one order lower and seven times higher for M. aeruginosa than those for Cyclotella sp. These findings implied that M. aeruginosa would possess a potential for the growth and survival over Cyclotella sp. in the phosphorus limited condition. The superiority of M. aeruginosa was reflected in the outcome of the mixed-species culture experiment, i.e., dominance of M. aeruginosa, even phosphorus concentration was lowered to 0.01 mg-P/L. Therefore, it could be concluded that the decrease in phosphorus concentration due to the river water dilution to Lake Tega would be interpreted as a minor factor for the transition of dominant species from M. aeruginosa to Cyclotella sp.

The commercial greenhouse is one of the most effective cultivation methods with a yield per cultivated area up to 10 times more than free land cultivation but the use of fossil fuels in this production field is very *** objectives of this paper are to modeling and experimental evaluation of heat and mass transfer functions in an innovative solar greenhouse with thermal *** this propose,a semi-solar greenhouse was designed and constructed at the North-West of Iran in Azerbaijan Province(38100N and 46180E with elevation of 1364 m above the sea level).The inside environment factors include inside air temperature below screen(Ta),inside air temperature above screen(Tas),crop temperature(Tc),inside soil temperature(Ts),cover temperature(Tri)and thermal screen temperature(Tsc)were collected as the experimental data *** dynamic heat and mass transfer model used to estimate the temperature in six different points of the semi-solar greenhouse with initial values and consider the crop *** results showed that dynamic model can predict the inside temperatures in four different points(Ta,Tc,Tri,Ts)with MAPE,RMSE and EF about 5-7%,1-2℃ and 80-91%for greenhouse without thermal screen and about 3-7%,0.6-1.8C and 89-96%for six different points of greenhouse with thermal screen(Ta,Tc,Tri,Ts,Tas,Tsc),*** results of using thermal screen at night(12 h)in autumn showed that this method can decrease the use of fossil fuels up to 58%and so decrease the final cost and air *** movable insulation caused about 15℃ difference between outside and inside air temperature and also made about 6℃ difference between Ta and *** experimental results showed that inside thermal screen can decrease the crop temperature fluctuation at night.

Multiseptate gallbladder, characterized by the presence of multiple septa dividing the gallbladder lumen, is a very extremely rare congenital anomaly of the gallbladder. On the other hand, anomalous pancreaticobiliary ductal union is also one of the congenital anomalous biliary diseases and thought to be related with choledochal cyst or biliary tract malignancies. In this paper, we describe a unique and first patient of multiseptate gallbladder with anomalous pancreaticobiliary ductal union and a review of the literature. To clarify more characters of the multiseptate gallbladder, examination of a larger patient population will be needed and further studies will be required.

Polymeric nanofibers are a promising technology to protect the metal surfaces from *** the literature search,the use of polyacrylonitrile nanofibres(PANNFs)as a corrosion inhibitor coating for aluminum alloys has not been *** work includes the development of a new,lightweight,high surface area and efficient coating of PANNFs that produced using electrospinning process to resist the corrosion of aluminum alloys(AA5083)which immersed in 0.6 M NaCl at alkaline medium(pH=12)and acidic medium(pH=1)at a range of temperatures(293–323)*** PANNFs coating was successfully deposited on AA 5083 specimens,where these samples were considered as a collector electrode in the electrospinning *** corrosion experiments of the aluminum alloys coated with PANNFs before and after immersion in both corrosive mediums were investigated using cyclic potential polarization(CPP).The results confirmed that the PANNFs coating was able to protect the surface of the aluminum specimens from corrosion,by reducing the corrosion current and increasing the surface polarization resistance,thus reducing the corrosion *** protection efficiency was found in the alkaline medium 98.8%while in the acidic medium 83.3%.So,it was in both mediums decreased with the increase in *** shape,distribution and size of the polymeric nanofibers that formed the coating were also examined using field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)and the percentages of the structural components of these fibers were detected using the X-ray dispersion spectroscopy(EDS).The surface of aluminum specimens was completely covered by *** electrospun nanofibers have worn out and lined up spacing after immersion in the corrosive *** diameters average of PANNFs was found to be about 200 and 150 nm before and after immersion,respectively.

Prediction the inside environment variables in greenhouses is very important because they play a vital role in greenhouse cultivation and energy lost especially in cold and hot *** greenhouse environment is an uncertain nonlinear system which classical modeling methods have some problems to solve *** the main goal of this study is to select the best method between Artificial Neural Network(ANN)and Support Vector Machine(SVM)to estimate three different variables include inside air,soil and plant temperatures(Ta,Ts,Tp)and also energy exchange in a polyethylene greenhouse in Shahreza city,Isfahan province,*** environmental factors which influencing all the inside temperatures such as outside air temperature,wind speed and outside solar radiation were collected as data *** this research,13 different training algorithms were used for ANN models(MLPRBF).Based on K-fold cross validation and Randomized Complete Block(RCB)methodology,the best model was *** results showed that the type of training algorithm and kernel function are very important factors in ANN(RBF and MLP)and SVM models performance,*** RBF,MLP and SVM models showed that the performance of RBF to predict Ta,Tp and Ts variables is better according to small values of RMSE and MAPE and large value of R2 *** range of RMSE and MAPE factors for RBF model to predict Ta,Tp and Ts were between 0.07 and 0.12C and 0.28-0.50%,*** and stability of the RBF model with 5-fold cross validation analysis showed that this method can use with small size of data *** performance of best model(RBF)to estimate the energy lost and exchange in the greenhouse with heat transfer models showed that this method can estimate the real data in greenhouse and then predict the energy lost and exchange with high accuracy.

The role of several parameters on gangue recovery in froth was investigated. Effects of frother type and collector dosage on flotation performance were tested at pH 10. The results were evaluated statistically by two-way analysis of variance without replicates, sample range and sample standard deviation. Hydrophilic mineral was recovered mainly by entrainment through hydrophobization of Ca＋2-activated quartz from tap-water in the presence of Na-oleate as collector; entrapment and slime coating were also proposed as recovery mechanisms in minority. Degree of gangue-entrainment in froth product increases by reduction in liberation size. The experimental results state that selectivity would be improved by increasing collector concentration and reducing the flotation time.

Recently, the application of ultraviolet (UV) curable monomers to human nails, (also known as UV gel nails) has become a popular decoration technique for women’s nails. However, the unreacted layer, the depletion of residual monomers from the cured UV gel nails, which can cause allergy and asthma, and the increase in temperature during curing process, are major concerns. In this study, the thickness of the unreacted layer, the increase in temperature, and the residual contents in cured film of UV gel nail treatment were measured for the first time. The results of this study indicated that the thickness of unreacted layer was not affected by the cast thickness;however, the intensity of UV light and the photoinitiator concentration had significant effect on the thickness of the unreacted layer. To reduce the thickness of the unreacted layer, the intensity of the UV light and the photoinitiator concentration should be increased. However, the maximum temperature observed during the curing of UV gel nails increases with an increase in the intensity of the UV light and the photoinitiator concentration. A suitable cast thickness range (21 ~ 150 μm), which resulted in the formation of a cured film and without producing temperatures that exceed that of the human body, was identified. The mass fraction of the residuals in the cured layer decreased with an increase in the exposure time, the UV intensity, and the photoinitiator concentration.

Ovalbumin （OVA）, chicken egg albumin, is an environmentally friendly, non-toxic, cheap surface active agent. It has electrochemically active sulfhydryl residues in molecular structure. OVA adsorption on pyrite as an alternative depressant was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, FTIR spectroscopy and flotation. Tests were conducted in a wide potential range in alkaline pH to clarify the role of electrochemical condition on the adsorption mechanisms and the rate of depression. In the absence of OVA, the floatability reached its maxima around slightly oxidizing condition. Beyond the range, it decreased presumably due to the formation of Fe-oxyhydroxides together with the hydrophilic S-containing species. OVA-pyrite interaction occurred in the whole examined potential range. Depressing effect of OVA increased gradually from reducing to slightly oxidizing potential, open circuit potential （OCP） of pyrite, mainly due to weak conformational changes in OVA molecules together with the hydrophobic interaction around OCP. The rate of depression reached its maxima at moderately oxidizing potentials, which was referred to electrostatic attraction. This level was almost kept at higher potentials owing to OVA adsorption as metal-chelates.

In this study a visual machine technology-based intelligent system was developed and evaluated for separation and recognizing the alive and dead eggs of rainbow trout *** features derived from imagery processing of alive and dead eggs were used as the decision-making variables in the ***-layer Perceptron neural network(MLP)and Support Vector Machine(SVM)models were used as the *** paired t-test,10 effective features were selected from 15 features for *** k-fold cross validation method was used for better evaluation the *** changing the size of the training data set from 80%to 20%,the classifier ability and stabilitywere *** results showed that in the training phase,all the mean values of the statistical indices forMLP and SVMclassificationswere complete for all categories(100%of the classification was predicted correctly).Also,in the test phase,the performance indicators of both classifiers were very satisfactory(the average accuracywas 99.45%).Therefore,it is possible to use both classifierswith certainty for separation the rainbow trout fish eggs.
