Intestinal Behcet＇s disease in a 38-year-old woman was diagnosed because of the history of recurrent oral aphthous ulcers, erythema nodosum-like eruptions, genital ulcer, and endoscopic findings of esophageal and Ueocolonic punched-out ulcers with colonic longitudinal ulcers. Esophageal lesions and colonic longitudinal ulcers are rarely seen in intestinal Behcet＇s disease. The ulcers of esophagus and ileocolon healed with 3 wk of treatment with prednisolone and mesalazine without any adverse effect. Mesalazine may decrease the total dose of prednisolone required to treat the disease.

＜正＞ This paper proposes a new method of pronunciation vartant gencration for reducing word error rata in conversational speech recognition. In particular, this paper focuses on the generation of alternative pronunciations from canonical forms by using the phonological knowl- edge derived from the analysis of a phonetic transcription corpus. The experimental results show that the pronunciation variation generated by the proposed method provides slightly better performance than a method based on manually written pronunciation. These results also demonstrate the applicability of phonological knowledge-based generation of pronunciation variation.

This paper gives an introduction to several important features ofChinese large vocabulary continuous speech recognition system inthe NiCT/ATR multi-lingual speech-to-speech translation *** features include: a ?exible way to derive an information richphoneme set based on an mutual information measurement betweentext corpus and phoneme set;Hidden Markov network （HMnet）acoustic model and the Minimum Description Length （MDL） cri-terion based Successive state Splitting （SSS） algorithm to gener-ate a model topology;Advanced langauge modeling of multi-classcomposite N-grams. These features helped the recognition frontendworking at a performance of 90% character accuracies in travel do-main dialogues at a real time response.

We here report a 43-year-old male patient with minute liver metastases from a rectal *** nodules were diagnosed during surgery,although they were not diagnosed by preoperative computed tomography or ultrasound *** rectal carcinoid was resected together with liver metastases and the patient has had no disease recurrence for 5 years following postoperative treatment of hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy(HAIC) using 5-fluorouracil(5-FU)and oral administration of 1-hexylcarbamoyl-5-fluorouracil(HCFU).In 2003,a health check examination indicated presence of occult blood in his *** enema study revealed a rectal tumor in the lower rectum and colonoscopy showed a yellowish lesion with a size of 30 mm in *** examination of the biopsy specimen indicated that the rectal tumor was *** preoperative imaging examinations failed to detect liver metastases,2 min nodules were found on the surface of liver during surgery.A rapid pathological examination revealed that they were metastatic tumors from the rectal *** anterior resection was performed for the rectal tumor and the pathological report indicated that there were 4 metastatic lymph nodes in the rectal *** patient received treatment by HAIC using 5-FU plus oral administration of HCFU and survived for 5 *** also review world-wide current treatments and their efficacy for hepatic metastases of carcinoid tumors.

Feasibility and Efficacy Study of Biweekly Irinotecan Combined with Oral Tegafur/Uracil in Advanced Colorectal Cancer

Background: We evaluated the feasibility and efficacy of irinotecan (CPT-11) plus tegafur/uracil (UFT) combination chemotherapy in patients with advanced colorectal cancer. Patients and Methods: PK parameters were concurrently measured to confirm the presence of drug interactions in this treatment schedule. CPT-11 was administered intravenously at the dose of 150 mg/m2 on days 1, 15. UFT was administered at the dose of 375 mg/m2/day (B.I.D.) on days 3 - 7, 10 - 14, 17 - 21, 24 - 28 repeated every 5 weeks. Results: 31 patients were enrolled. PK parameters for CPT-11, FT, 5-FU and uracil are available from 5 patients. The overall response rate was 16.1%. The median time to treatment discontinuation was 3.9 months. There was no significant difference in PK parameters of CPT-11 between day 1 and day 15 and of UFT between day 3 and day 10. Conclusion: CPT-11 plus UFT combination chemotherapy exhibited a tolerable toxicity profile with acceptable efficacy. Pharmacokinetic analysis showed that there were no drug interactions in this treatment schedule.

Controlling Li ion transport in glasses at atomic and molecular levels is key to realizing all-solid-state batteries,a promising technology for electric *** this context,Li_(3)PS_(4)glass,a promising solid electrolyte candidate,exhibits dynamic coupling between the Li^(+)cation mobility and the PS_(4)^(3-)anion libration,which is commonly referred to as the paddlewheel *** addition,it exhibits a concerted cation diffusion effect(i.e.,a cation-cation interaction),which is regarded as the essence of high Li ion ***,the correlation between the Li^(+)ions within the glass structure can only be vaguely determined,due to the limited experimental information that can be ***,this study reports that the Li ions present in glasses can be classified by evaluating their valence oscillations via Bader analysis to topologically analyze the chemical *** is found that three types of Li ions are present in Li_(3)PS_(4)glass,and that the more mobile Li ions(i.e.,the Li3-type ions)exhibit a characteristic correlation at relatively long distances of ***,reverse Monte Carlo simulations combined with deep learning potentials that reproduce X-ray,neutron,and electron diffraction pair distribution functions showed an increase in the number of Li3-type ions for partially crystallized glass structures with improved Li ion transport *** results show order within the disorder of the Li ion distribution in the glass by a topological analysis of their ***,considering the molecular vibrations in the glass during the evaluation of the Li ion valences is expected to lead to the development of new solid electrolytes.

Three-Dimensional Rainbow Schlieren Measurements in Underexpanded Sonic Jets from Axisymmetric Convergent Nozzles

The rainbow schlieren deflectometry has been combined with the computed tomography to obtain three-dimensional density fields of shock containing free jets and we call the method the schlieren CT. Experiments on the schlieren CT have been performed at a nozzle pressure ratio of 4.0 by using an axisymmetric convergent nozzle with an inner diameter of 10 mm at the exit where the nozzle was operated at an underexpanded condition. Multidirectional rainbow schlieren pictures of an underexpanded sonic jet can be acquired by rotating the nozzle about its longitudinal axis in equal angular intervals and the three-dimensional density fields are reconstructed by the schlieren CT. The validity of the schlieren CT is verified by a comparison with the density fields reconstructed by the Abel inversion method. As a result, it is found that excellent quantitative agreement is reached between the three-dimensional jet density fields reconstructed from both methods.

An inverse Laplace transform on lattice spacing is introduced as a computational framework of the extrapolation of the strong coupling expansion to the scaling *** apply the transform to the two-dimensional nonlinear O(N)model at N≥3 and show that the approximation of the continuum limit of the susceptibility agrees with the existing theoretical and Monte Carlo data.
