A study on the ductile deformation domain of the brittle fault in the shallow level ofthe crust is a new probe field for the modern structural geology. Taking the southern Jiang-su Province area as an example the orientation measurement of quartz crystals, the com-positional texture observation of three pressure sensitive minerals and the rheological param-eter determination of dislocation densities, etc. have been demonstrated and analysed basedon typical samples in the present paper. in addition, their generation mechanisms arealso discussed from the cataclastic rheology, the dynamic differentiation and the simpleshearing, specially, from the Ode strength theory. Finally, a generative relationship betweenthe ductile deformation domain of the brittle fault system, in the regional layer--slip andthe formation of the stratabound ore deposit is shown as well.

in order to study convergence zones or discontinuous lines formed locally in the Taklimakan Desert,we analyzed available MODiS images onboad TERRA or AQUA satellite for ten cases:29 March 2002,14 April 2002;2 January 2003;21 April 2003;26 March 2004;28 April 2004;30 January 2005;25 June 2005;3 December 2005;and 26 July *** used weather maps published by the Japan Mete-orological Agency for the Asia and Pacific region at 500 hPa,700 hPa and 850 hPa,at 00Z and 12Z to analyze the meteorological conditions occurring in each *** estimated the positions of air streams,convergence zones or discontinuous lines between them,and thermal conditions on the maps and con-firmed the presence of cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds through satellite images in *** a review of previous studies,this paper introduced the results of the present *** warm areas in the Taklimakan Desert and on the Tibetan Plateau and local convergence zones or discontinuous lines in the Taklimakan Desert were discussed together with their diurnal changes,using composite maps of the ten *** the long axis of the desert the convergence zones or discontinuous lines normally extend 70-80 km in a west-east direction,but are suspected to exceed 100 km in extreme *** the other hand,the convergence zones or discontinuous lines extending in a north-south direction on the southern fringe of the desert have a length of 40-60 *** closed warm areas show clear diurnal changes,but they were not detected at the 500 hPa *** example of a clear convergence zone running in a north-south direction on 26 July 2006 was presented in detail with corresponding satellite images.

Plexiform angiomyxoid myofibroblastic tumor of the stomach is a unique mesenchymal tumor that we first described in *** tumor is very rare,and to date,only 18 cases confirmed by immunohistochemistry have been reported in the *** patients' ages ranged from 7 to 75 years(mean,43 years),and the male-to-female ratio was approximately 1:*** clinical symptoms are ulceration,associated upper gastrointestinal bleeding(hematemesis),and *** tumors are located at the antrum in all cases,and grossly,the tumor is whitish to brownish or reddish,and forms a lobulated submucosal or transmural ***,the tumor is characterized by a plexiform growth pattern,the proliferation of cytologically bland spindle cells,and a myxoid stroma that is rich in small vessels and positive for Alcian blue ***,the tumor cells are positive for α-smooth muscle actin and negative for KiT and *** diagnoses include gastrointestinal stromal tumor and other mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal *** authors proposed that this tumor should be designated as "plexiform fibromyxoma",but this designation might cause *** tumor is probably benign and thus far,neither recurrence nor metastasis has been reported.

The reduction diffusion method was performed for the sludge scrap of Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets with adding Ca metal to recover the oxidized Nd-Fe-B phase. After washing the resultant powders to remove Ca metal component, the powders obtained were recycled as an isotropic magnetic powder by the melt spinning method. The magnetic properties of powders as recycled were inferior, especially for the coercivity value, due to the deletion of rare earth metals during the washing process. The adjustment of metal composition, i.e., the addition of Nd metal, at the melt spinning process improved the magnetic properties to be B r=～0.75 T, H cj=～0.93 mA·m -1, and (BH) max=～91 kJ·m -3. The magnetic properties of the bonded magnets prepared from the composition-adjusted powders were B r=～0.66 T, H cj=～0.92 mA·m -1, and (BH) max=～70 kJ·m -3, which are approximately comparable to the commercially available MQPB boned one (B r=～0.73 T, H cj=～0.79 mA·m -1, and (BH) max=～86 kJ·m -3).

This paper proposes a simple yet efective algorithm to magnify 2D/3D images with preserving discontinuities of *** algorithm is based on the partition of unity(PU)approximation,which ofers many advantages such as smooth representation,noise-robustness,and precise ***,PU encounters difculties when scaling images and maintaining boundaries within images owing to the nature of its *** overcome this problem,we propose an approximation that preserves *** is realized by dividing the local spherical support of PU into two parts along a locally detected discontinuity and by individually approximating intensities on each side of the *** algorithm is suitable for magnifying a variety of images,including scanned documents,pictures,and CT-scanned *** demonstrate the efectiveness of the proposed method,we show some experimental results for 2D/3D images.

Effects of Vertical Angle of Conical Punch on Stretch Flangeability of High Strength Steel

To clarify the effects of the vertical angle of a conical punch on stretch flangeability, hole expansion forming tests were conducted. Test results showed that the hole expansion ratio becomes larger as the vertical angle *** also showed that the fracture strain at the fracture location on the hole edge was constant and independent of the vertical angle. This is because the hole expansion ratio was controlled not only by the fracture strain, which is independent of the vertical angle, but also by deformation uniformity along the hole edge. From the result of numerical analyses, it was determined that deformation uniformity depends on the gradient of circumferential stress along the radius direction. When the vertical angle is sharp, the circumferential stress showed a steep decline and the deformation localization was suppressed. Consequently, the hole edge deformed more uniformly and the hole expansion ratio became larger. it is concluded that in order to improve stretch flangeability of high strength steel, it is important to uniformly deform the hole edge by applying a conical punch with a sharp vertical angle.

A new combined desulfurization/denitration (DeSOx/DeNOx,) process was tested in this study. The process uses the so-called powder-particle fluidized bed (PPFB) as the major reactor in which a coarse DeNOx catalyst, several hundred micrometers in size, is fluidized by flue gas as the fluidization medium particles, while a continuously supplied fine DeSOx sorbent, several to tens of micrometers in diameter, is entrained with the flue gas. Ammonia for NOx reduction is fed to the bottom of the bed, thus, SOX and NOX are simultaneously removed in the single reactor. By adopting a model gas, SO2-NO-H2O-N2-air, to simulate actual flue gas in a laboratory-scale PPFB, simultaneous SO2 and NO removals were explored with respect to various gas components of flue gas. it was found that the variations of SO2 removal with concentrations (fractions) of oxygen, water vapor, SO2 and NO in flue gas are little affected by the simultaneous NOx reduction. However, the dependencies of NO removal upon such gas components are closely related to the inter-actions between DeSOx sorbent and DeNOx catalyst.

Degradation of Reactive Yellow 86 with photo-Fenton process driven by solar light

The decolorization of Reactive Yellow 86 （RY 86）, one of reactive azo dyes, was investigated in the presence of Fenton reagent under solar light irradiation. The decolorization rate was strongly influenced by pH, initial concentrations of H202 and Fe（ii）, and so on. An initial concentration of 40 mg/L was decolored more than 90% after 20 min under optimum conditions. The activation energy of the solar photo-Fenton reaction was 1.50 kJ/mol for RY 86 in the temperature range of 10-60℃. in the kinetic study, the rate constant of RY 86 with OH- radicals could be estimated to be 1.7 × 10^10 L/（***）. The decolorization efficiency of RY 86 under solar light irradiation was comparable to the artificial light irradiation. The decrease of TOC as a result of mineralization of RY 86 was observed during photo-Fenton process. The rate of RY 86 mineralization was about 83% under UV irradiation after 24 hr. The formation of chloride, sulfate, nitrate and ammonium ions as end-products was observed during the photocatalytic process. The decomposition of RY 86 gave two kinds of intermediate products. The degradation mechanism of RY 86 was proposed on the base of the identified intermediates.

Comparison of the activities of binder-added and binder-free Mo/HZSM-5 catalysts in methane dehydroaromatization at 1073 K in periodic CH_4-H_2 switch operation mode

Three industry-supplied, well-shaped Mo/HZSM-5 catalysts, two binder-added and one binder-free, were tested for the first time in methane dehydroaromatization to benzene at 1073 K and 10000 mL/（g·h） in periodic CH4-H2 switch operation mode, and their catalytic performances were compared with those of three self-prepared, binder-free powder Mo/HZSM-5 catalysts. XRD, 27Al NMR, SEM, BET and NH3-TPD characterizations of all the catalysts show that the zeolites in the two binder-added catalysts are comparable to those in the three binder-free powder catalysts in crystallinity, crystal size, micropore volume and Br{／o}nsted acidity. The test results, on the other hand, show that the catalytic performances of the two binder-added catalysts are worse than those of the four binder-free catalysts on both catalyst mass and zeolite mass bases. Then, TPO and BET measurements of all spent samples were conducted to get a deep insight into the negative effects of binder addition, and the results suggest that the binder additives functioned mainly to enhance the polyaromatization of formed aromatics to coke on their external surfaces and consequently lower the catalysts＇ benzene formation activity and selectivity.
