＜正＞ The design of robust controllers for uncertain systems via a global control approach is studied in this paper. The uncertain system is first decomposed and linearized into partial models over the whole operating region by using the direct feedback linearization （DFL） technique. Then robust controllers are designed for different partial models with norm-bounded uncertainties. Finally, the global control law is obtained by integrating the partial controllers with membership functions. The stability conditions of the robust controller design are derived to guarantee the global stabilization of uncertain systems. The single-machine infinite-bus power system is used as an example system to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed global control approach. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed global control system can provide superior performance in power system transient stability enhancement.

Mountains are paramount for exploring biodiversity patterns due to the mosaic of topographies and climates encompassed over short *** research has traditionally focused on taxonomic diversity when investigating changes along elevational gradients,but other facets should be *** first time,we simultaneously assessed elevational trends in taxonomic,functional,and phylogenetic diversity of woody plants in Andean tropical montane forests and explored their underlying ecological and evolutionary *** investigation covered four transects(traversing ca.2200 m a.s.l.) encompassing 114 plots of 0.1 ha across a broad latitudinal range(ca.10°).Using hill numbers to quantify abundance-based diversity among 37,869 individuals we observed a consistent decrease in taxonomic,functional,and phylogenetic diversity as elevation increased,although the decrease was less pronounced for higher hill *** exception was a slight increase in phylogenetic diversity when dominant species were *** decrease in taxonomic and functional diversity might be attributed to an environmental filtering process towards highlands,where the increasingly harsher conditions exclude species and functional ***,the differences in steepness decrease between hill orders suggest that rare species disproportionately contribute to functional *** phylogenetic diversity the shifting elevational trend between hill orders indicates a greater than previously considered influence in central Andean highlands of tropical lowlands originated species with strong niche conservatism relative to distantly related temperate *** could be explained by a decreasing presence and abundance of temperate,extratropical taxa towards the central Andes relative to northern or southern Andes,where they are more prevalent.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

plants employ several strategies to maintain cellular ion homeostasis under salinity stress, including mediat-ing ion fluxes by transmembrane transport proteins and adjusting osmotic pressure by accumulating osmolytes. The HKT （high-affinity potassium transporter） gene family comprises Na^＋ and Na^＋/K^＋ transporters in diverse plant species, with HKT1,1 as the only member in Arabidopsis thaliana. Cell-type-specific overexpression of AtHKT1;1 has been shown to prevent shoot Na^＋ overaccumulation under salinity stress. Here, we analyzed a broad range of metabolites and elements in shoots and roots of different AtHKT1;1 genotypes and their parental strains before and after salinity stress, revealing a reciprocal relationship of metabolite differences between an AtHKT1;1 knockout line （hktl;1） and the AtHKT1;1 overex- pressing lines （E2586 UASGAL4：HKT1;1 and j2731＊UASGAL4：HKT1;1）. Although levels of root sugars were increased after salt stress in both AtHKTI,1 overexpressing lines, E2586 UASGAL4：HKT1;1 showed higher accumulation of the osmopro-tectants trehalose, gentiobiose, and melibiose, whereas j2731＊UASGAL4：HKT1;1 showed higher levels of sucrose and raffinose, compared with their parental lines, respectively. In contrast, the knockout line hktl,1 showed strong increases in the levels of the tricarboxylic acid （TCA） cycle intermediates in the shoots after salt treatment. This coincided with a significant depletion of sugars, suggesting that there is an increased rate of carbon influx into the TCA cycle at a constant rate of C-efflux from the cycle, which might be needed to support plant survival during salt stress. Using correlation analysis, we identified associations between the Na^＋ content and several sugars, suggesting that regulation of sugar metabolism is important in plant responses to salinity stress.

A passivity concept for switched systems with state-dependent switching is presented. Each subsystem has a storage function to describe the ＂energy＂ stored in the subsystem. The passivity property of a switched system is given in terms of multiple storage functions. Each storage function is allowed to grow on the ＂switched on＂ time sequence but the total growth is bounded by a certain function. Stability is inferred from passivity and asymptotic stability is achieved under further assumptions of a detectivity property of a local form and boundedness of the total change of some storage function on its inactive intervals. A state-dependent switching law that renders the system passive is also designed.

Artificial thermoremanent magnetization imposed on natural basalt samples was used to check the reliability of Shaw’s palaeointensity method[Shaw,1974;Kono,1978;Rolph and Shaw,1985] and to give an indication of the accuracy of ***,thermal remanence was induced in all samples(50 in total) in a known field(50±0.1 mT).This remanence was regarded as the"original"natural remanent magnetization("NRM").The samples were divided in to three subsets(A, B,and C) and intensity experiments were *** subset of samples used different thermal remanent magnetization(TRM) acquisition ***-magnetic properties on 14 representative subsamples were also measured both before and after the TRM acquisition steps to monitor possible magnetochemical *** has been demonstrated that intensity estimates by the Shaw method give values close to the expected value(50±5mT) in all three sets of basalt *** modified method with Rolph and Shaw[1985]correction,i.e.,using ratios of anhysteretic remanent magnetization given before the TRM step(ARM1) and after(ARM2),is proved to be a powerful approach to correct the TRM capacity changes that result from agnetochemical *** is especially so for sample set C, where the samples were heated up to 700 and then were held at this temperature for 40 min during TRM *** correction,45%of set C samples gave acceptable ***,some samples with strong magnetochemical alteration sometimes invalidated the ARM1/ARM2 ratio correction and gave wrong intensity *** rock magnetic properties is therefore very important when applying the Shaw method.

We report new absolute palaeointensity estimates using basalts from northeastern China(K/Ar age,125-120 Ma) using the modified Shaw method in conjunction with the microwave technique. Samples for the palaeointensity experiments were selected mainly based on their good reversibility of thermomagnetic curves and single primary magnetization *** the modified Shaw method,28 out of 45 measured samples from 10 cooling units give a virtual dipole moment of(3.1±1.0)×10 Am,and the microwave technique using 14 acceptable determinations(out of 20 measured) give an average value of(2.9±0.9)×10 Am. Results using both the modified Shaw method and the microwave technique demonstrate that the geomagnetic field strength recorded by these lavas was *** is in agreement with previous results of the same time interval obtained by the Thellier method with partial thermal remanence(p-TRM) *** fact that different techniques give qualitatively compatible low palaeointensity results provides greater confidence that the weak field features seen just prior to the Cretaceous normal superchron(CNS) are the result of the actual field recorded by the basalts as opposed to artefacts of the method/*** study also demonstrates that the microwave technique can be used for very old basalts.
