Recently,undergraduate and postgraduate pharmaceutical education systems have been changing greatly in *** 2006,undergraduate pharmacist program was changed from 4 years course to 6 years course to train higher-quality pharmacists who can deal with the changes in the progression of medical technology and meet social demands for medication safety[1].As a postgraduate training system,pharmacy residency system was started in several hospital in 2002,and around 35 hospitals have pharmacy residency system at 2015[2].

Flow separation is typically an undesirable phenomenon, and boundary layer control is an important technique for the separation problems on airfoils. The synthetic jet actuator is considered as a promising candidate for flow control applications because of its compact nature and ability to generate momentum without the need for fluidic plumbing. In the present study, an active separation control system using synthetic jets is proposed and practically applied to the stall control of the NACA0012 airfoil in a wind tunnel test. In our proposed system, the flow conditions (stalled or unstalled) can be judged by calculating from two static pressure holes on the airfoil upper surface alone. The experimental results indicate that the maximum lift coefficient increases by 11% and the stall angle rises by 4°in contrast to the case under no control. It is confirmed that our proposed system can suppress the stall on the NACA0012 airfoil and that the aerodynamic performance of the airfoil can be enhanced. The proposed system can also be operated prior to the onset of stall. Therefore, separation control is always attained with no stall for all flow fields produced by changing the angle of attack that were examined.

Despite the recent development in radiometric dating of numerous zircons by LA-ICPMS, mineral separation still remains a major obstacle, particularly in the search for the oldest material on Earth. To improve the efficiency in zircon separation by an order of magnitude, we have designed/developed a new machine-an automatic zircon separator（AZS）. This is designed particularly for automatic pick-up of100 μm-sized zircon grains out of a heavy mineral fraction after conventional separation procedures. The AZS operates in three modes：（1） image processing to choose targeted individual zircon grains out of all heavy minerals spread on a tray,（2） automatic capturing of the individual zircon grains with microtweezers, and（3） placing them one-by-one in a coordinated alignment on a receiving tray. The automatic capturing was designed/created for continuous mineral selecting without human presence for many hours. This software also enables the registration of each separated zircon grain for dating, by recording digital photo-image, optical（color） indices, and coordinates on a receiving tray. We developed two new approaches for the dating; i.e.（1） direct dating of zircons selected by LA-ICPMS without conventional resin-mounting/polishing,（2） high speed U-Pb dating, combined with conventional sample preparation procedures using the new equipment with multiple-ion counting detectors（LA-MIC-ICPMS）.With the first approach, Pb-Pb ages obtained from the surface of a mineral were crosschecked with the interior of the same grain after resin-mounting/polishing. With the second approach, the amount of time required for dating one zircon grain is ca. 20 s, and a sample throughput of 〉150 grains per hour can be achieved with sufficient precision（ca. 0.5%）.We tested the practical efficiency of the AZS, by analyzing an Archean Jack Hills conglomerate in Western Australia with the known oldest（〉4.3 Ga） zircon on Earth. The Francevillian Group in Gabonese Republic was recently established as a typical sedimentary sequence for the ***,its age is rather poorly constrained,mainly based on Rb-Sr and Nd-Sm *** study reports new zircon data obtained from Chaillu massif and N＇goutou complex,which constrain the protolith age of the basement orthogneisses and the igneous age of an intrusive granite,*** zircons from the orthogneisses are blue and exhibit oscillatory zoning in cathode-luminescence *** with lower common lead abundances tend to be distributed close to the concordia *** age clusters around 2860 Ma and 2910 Ma are found in zircons plotted on the concordia *** on the Th/U ratios of zircons,these ages correspond to the protolith ages of the orthogneisses,and the zircons are not metamorphic in *** and granites were collected from the N＇goutou complex that intrudes into the FA and FB units of the Francevillian *** granitoids exhibit chemical composition of A-type granite *** of zircons separated from the granite are non-luminous,and the remaining half exhibit obscure internal textures under cathode-luminescence *** zircon grains contain significant amounts of common lead;the lead isotopic variability is probably attributed to the mixing of two components in the *** zircon radiogenic ^（207）Pb/^（206）Pb ratio is 0.13707 ± *** to a ^（207）Pb/^（206）Pb age of 2191 ± 13 *** constrains the minimum depositional age of the FA and FB ***,the FB unit consists of manganese-rich carbonate rocks and organic carbon-rich black shales with macroscopic *** on our age constraints,these organisms appeared in the study area just after the last Paleoproterozoic Snowball Earth event,in concert with global scale oxidation event encompassing the Snowball Earth.

Increased Cerebral Cortex Perfusion in Stroke Patients with Cognitive Disorder Following Cilostazol Administration, Two Cases Report

Objective: In our search for a new augmentation therapy for stroke patients, we administered cilostazol, an antiplatelet agent. Subjects: The patients suffered from mild hemiparesis or cognitive disorder showing reduced cerebral perfusion in the prefrontal cortex. Methods: We evaluated the functional cerebral blood flow (CBF) before and after the administration of cilostazol using near-infrared resonance spectroscopy (NIRS) during a verbal fluency task (VFT). Results: For the patient with cognitive disorder, statistically significant improvements were observed in the number of generated words in the VFT before and after administration of 50 mg cilostazol (p 0.05, Mann-Whitney U test). Another patient without cognitive disorder, however, showed no significant VFT improvement after administration of cilostazol. Effect size data revealed large or very large effects of cilostazol on brain activation (oxy-Hb levels) at the affected side prefrontal cortex for both patients. The patient with cognitive disorder showed significant improvement in VFT performance as well as an increase in bilateral prefrontal CBF after cilostazol administration. Discussion: These findings suggest that, for patients with cerebrovascular lesions suffering from cognitive disorder, cilostazol may be promising as a drug to improve cognitive function in addition to preventing recurrent cerebral infarction.

Control of Karman Vortex Street behind a Thin Airfoil at Low Reynolds Number

To control the Karman vortex street formed behind a thin airfoil at a certain incidence, a control cylinder was placed at the suction side apart from the airfoil in the downstream region. Both smoke visualization and hot-wire measurements confirmed that the Karman vortex street was completely suppressed. The mechanism for suppression of the vortex street was examined with a hot-wire survey.

Significance of three step prescription checking by pharmacists

In many hospitals,prescription checks are conducted by 2 or 3 individual pharmacists at each step of prescription checking,dispensing,and final checking to maintain the safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical therapies in Japan[1,2].In Gunma University Hospital,we also check all prescriptions by 3 pharmacists at each step of dispensing(3 step prescription check system)with the exception of night *** this study,to assess the significance of our 3 step prescription check system for managing safety of pharmaceutical therapies,we investigated prescriptions that needed the confirmation of questionable points and prescription corrections.

GATA-6 mRNA utilizes two Met-codons in frame as translational initiation codons in cultured mammalian cells. Deletion of the nucleotide sequence encoding the PEST sequence between the two initiation codons unusually reduced the protein molecular size on SDS-polyacrylamide gel-electrophoresis. The reduced molecular size is ascribed to the molecular property of GATA-6, since both amino-and carboxy-lterminal tags introduced into GATA-6 were detected on the gel. This PEST sequence seems to contribute to expansion of the long-type GATA-6 molecule. The long-type GATA-6 containing the PEST sequence exhibits more activation potential than that without this sequence, the latter’s activity being similar to that of the short-type GATA-6. We further demonstrated that human colon and lung cancer cell lines express both the long-type GATA-6 and the short-type GATA-6 in their nuclei.
