Objective: This study wa. to compa.e this multiple-field conforma. technique to the 2-dimensiona. (2D) conventiona. technique with respect to ta.get volume covera.e a.d dose to norma. tissues. Methods: We conducted a.single institutiona. prospective compa.a.ive dosimetric a.a.ysis of 15 pa.ients who received ra.ica. ra.ia.ion thera.y for bla.der ca.cer presented to Ra.iothera.y Depa.tment in Na.iona. Ca.cer Institute, Ca.ro (Egypt), in period between November 2011 to July 2012 using 3-dimensiona. (3D) conforma. ra.iothera.y technique for ea.h pa.ient, a.second 2D conventiona. ra.iothera.y trea.ment pla. wa. done, the two techniques were then compa.ed using dose volume histogra. (DVH) a.a.ysis. Results: Compa.ing different DVHs, it wa. found tha. the pla.ning ta.get volume (PTV) wa. a.equa.ely covered in both (3D & 2D) pla.s while it wa. demonstra.ed tha. this multiple field conforma. technique produced superior distribution compa.ed to 2D technique, with considera.le spa.ing of rectum a.d to lesser extent for the hea. of both femora. Conclusion: From the present study, it is recommended to use 3D pla.ning for ca.es of bla.der ca.cer especia.ly in elderly pa.ients a. it produces good covera.e of the ta.get volume a. well a. good spa.ing of the surrounding critica. orga.s.

Ca.cer Institute, Ca.ro in period between June 2012 to September 2012 a.d received a.CRT boost in the pla.e of pla.ned bra.hythera.y a.ter la.ge field pelvic ra.iothera.y (PRT) with concurrent chemothera.y were retrospectively identified. a.l tumors were situa.ed in the low centra. pelvis. Two pla.s were done for every pa.ient; one using the 8 fields IMRT a.d the second one using 5 fields' 3DCRT the two techniques were then compa.ed using dose volume histogra. (DVH) a.a.ysis for the PTV, bla.der, rectum a.d both femora. hea.s. Results:Compa.ing different DVHs, it wa. found tha. the pla.ning ta.get volume (PTV) wa. a.equa.ely covered in both pla.s while it wa. demonstra.es tha. the 8 fields IMRT technique ca.ried less doses rea.hing Oa.s (rectum, bla.der, both femora. hea.s). Conclusion:From the present study, it is concluded tha. IMRT technique spa.ed more efficiently Oa.s tha. CRT technique but both techniques covered the PTV a.equa.ely so whenever possible IMRT technique should be used.

Ba.kground: The eyebrow supra.rbita. keyhole a.proa.h could be considered a.modified minima.ly inva.ive model for the cla.sic pteriona. subfronta. a.proa.h in which a. eyebrow incision a.d supra.rbita. mini cra.iotomy a.e performed for exposure of the a.terior cra.ia. fossa.corridor. Methods: This study wa. retrospectively conducted on twenty four pa.ients, a.e ra.ging from 20 to 65 yea.s old, with a.terior cra.ia. fossa.lesions who were meeting the eligibility criteria.for eyebrow cra.iotomy in the period from a.gust 2019 to Ja.ua.y 2023. These pa.ients were opera.ed through eyebrow supra.rbita. a.proa.h in which microscopic endoscopic a.sisted technique were used. Extent of resection, clinica. a.d cosmetic outcomes a.d complica.ion incidence were a.sessed. Results: We included the twenty four pa.ients who met inclusion criteria.(17 fema.es a.d 7 ma.es) their a.es ra.ged from 20 to 65 yea.s. The most common pa.hology wa. meningioma.in 19 pa.ients. Two pa.ients experienced supra.rbita. loss of sensa.ion a.d only one pa.ient experienced pa.sy of fronta.is bra.ch of fa.ia. nerve. Fronta. sinus wa. brea.hed in 3 pa.ients with no pa.ient experienced postopera.ive CSF lea.. Tota. excision wa. a.complished for 23 pa.ients. Four pa.ients who ha. preopera.ive visua. compromise, improvement of visua. a.uity a.d field defects wa. observed in 3 pa.ients. No ma.or intra.pera.ive complica.ions occurred. a.l pa.ients filled cosmetic sa.isfa.tion questionna.re during their outpa.ient visits. For the eyebrow supra.rbita. a.proa.h, no incision rela.ed intolera.le pa.n, no cra.iotomy defects or irregula.ities, no cosmetic compla.nts nor limita.ion of ja. opening were reported, a.d only minor symptoms in the form of limited eyebrow eleva.ion, swelling a.d numbness in the forehea.. Conclusions: The eyebrow cra.iotomy could be used sa.ely a. a.more cosmetic a.d minima.ly inva.ive a.proa.h for a.va.iety of a.terior cra.ia. fossa.lesions. This pa.er presents a.numerica. investiga.ion on the structura. performa.ce of a. innova.ive noise ba.rier consisting of poly-block, rigid polyuretha.e foa. （RPF） a.d polyurea. The mecha.ica. cha.a.teristics of RPF a. well a. the flexura. resista.ce of the proposed wa.l system （poly-wa.l） were esta.lished a.d presented in a.other study. The experimenta. results a.e used in the current study to develop, ca.ibra.e a.d verify 3D finite element （FE） models of the wa.l system. The components of the poly-wa.l including steel reba.s, poly-blocks a.d RPF cores were simula.ed a.d then verified using the results of experiments conducted on the wa.l components. The results of numerica. a.a.ysis exhibited a.sa.isfa.tory a.reement with the experimenta. outcomes for the entire wa.l system. The verified numerica. models were then used to conduct a.pa.a.etric study on the performa.ce of poly-wa.l models under uniform wind loa. a.d gra.ity loa.. The findings of the current study confirmed tha. the structura. performa.ce of poly-wa.l is sa.isfa.tory for noise ba.rier a.plica.ion. Simula.ion techniques for improvement of the numerica. a.a.ysis of multi-ma.tia. 3D FE models were discussed.

Ni-Co a.loys were electropla.ed from sulpha.e electrolyte using a.dition a.ents including sodium glucona.e, boric a.id a.d eysteine on copper foil by the ga.va.osta.ic technique a.d ultra.ound wa.es. The chemica. composition, surfa.e morphologies, crysta.line structure a.d ha.dness of the Ni-Co a.loys were studied using energy dispersive spectroscopy, sca.ning electron microscope, X-ra. diffra.tion a.d Vickers testing method, respectively. The effect of current density a.d a.dition a.ents on the microstructure a.d morphology of Ni-Co a.loys were exa.ined. The a.propria.e concentra.ion of a.ditives a.d ultra.ound wa.es were found to produce fine a.d smooth crysta.s lea.ing to higher ha.dness of Ni-Co a.loys. The microha.dness of the Ni-Co a.loys wa. va.ied between 4860-7530 HV. The surfa.e morphology of coa.ings wa. cha.ged from gra.ula. to fine due to using of glucona.e, boric a.id, cysteine a.d ultra.ound wa.es. The mecha.ica. properties of na.ocrysta.line Ni-Co a.loys showed a. increa.e of the ha.dness with the growing of Ni content in the a.loy. The X-ra. diffra.tion studies indica.ed tha. na.ocrysta.line structure wa. fa.e-centred cubic for pure Ni a.d Ni-Co a.loys with Co content in the ra.ge of 1-75 wt.%. a.hexa.ona. closed-pa.ka.e structure wa. obta.ned for pure Co a.d Ni-Co a.loys with the coba.t content with ra.ge of 75-99 wt.%.

The combina.ion of PCR a.plifica.ion of 16S rRNa.genes with dena.uring gra.ient gel electrophoresis （DGGE） a.a.ysis wa. used to revea. the compositions a.d dyna.ics of ba.teria. communities in a.sewa.e trea.ment pla.t with two systems, i.e., a. a.oxic- a.a.robic-a.robic system （inverted a.O） a.d a. a.a.robic-a.oxic-a.robic one （conventiona. a.O） over a.period from Februa.y to July 2009, during which both systems experienced serious sludge bulking problems. The DGGE pa.terns showed tha. there were ma.y common ba.ds in both systems, suggesting the high simila.ity of ba.teria. communities of the two systems. Mea.while, the moving window correla.ion a.a.ysis showed tha. the two systems experienced different microbia. community structure cha.ges during the period, which might be rela.ed with the different situa.ions of the occurrence a.d disa.pea.a.ce of sludge bulking, a. being reflected by sludge volume index （SVI） va.ues. Ma.or ba.ds of DGGE pa.terns of sludge sa.ples were further sequenced. Phylogenetic a.filia.ion indica.ed tha. the ma.ority of the sequences obta.ned were a.filia.ed with a.tinoba.teria. Firmicutes, Ba.teroidetes/Chlorobi group a.d α- a.d β-Proteoba.teria. Two sequences showed high simila.ities to typica. fila.entous ba.teria.Microthrix pa.vicella.a.d Nostocoida.limicola.I, indica.ing tha. these ba.teria. species ha.e been involved in the sludge bulking problems.

Methods： Seventeen pa.ients with sta.es Ⅱ-Ⅲ denoca.cinoma.of the stoma.h were trea.ed with a.juva.t postopera.ive chemora.iothera.y presented to ra.iothera.y depa.tment in Na.iona. Ca.cer Institute, Ca.ro in period between Februa.y 2009 to Ma.ch 2010 using 3D conforma. ra.iothera.y technique tha. consisted of a.monoisocentric a.ra.gement Employing 4-6 ra.ia.ion fields. For ea.h pa.ient, a.second ra.iothera.y trea.ment pla. wa. genera.ed utilizing a.-Pa.fields, the two techniques were then compa.ed for ta.get volume covera.e a.d dose to norma. tissues using dose volume histogra. （DVH） a.a.ysis. Results： The pla.ning ta.get volume （PTV） wa. a.equa.ely covered in both （ 3D ＆ 2D ） pla.s, compa.a.ive DVHs for the right kidney, left kidney a.d spina. cord demonstra.e lower ra.ia.ion doses using the conforma. technique especia.ly for left kidney ＆ spina. cord, but the liver doses is higher but still well below liver tolera.ce. Conclusion： 3D conforma. ra.iothera.y produced reduced ra.ia.ion doses to the kidneys （especia.ly left kidney ＆ spina. cord） compa.ed to a.-Pa.techniques, with the potentia. to reduce trea.ment toxicity.
