In the last decade,the use of magnesium and its alloys as biodegradable implant materials has become increasingly ***,surface modification of these materials to control the degradation rate in the early stages of healing and improve their biocompatibility is crucial to the successful implementation of magnesium alloy implants in *** adhesion and proliferation at the implant surface is a vital factor for successful integration of a biomaterial within the *** accomplish this task by binding to ligands such as the arginine-glycine-aspartic acid peptide sequence(rGD)commonly found on adhesive proteins present in the extracellular *** this paper,we report a biomimetic surface modification strategy involving deposition of a mixed organosilane layer on Mg AZ31 followed by covalent immobilization of rGD peptides through a heterobifunctional cross-linker *** results indicate that with optimized deposition conditions uniform organosilane coatings were successfully deposited on the Mg AZ31 ***,we have demonstrated that the surface density of immobilized rGD can be varied by depositing organosilane layers from solutions containing two different organosilanes in specified *** in cell adhesion and cell proliferation were observed on the surface modified substrates.

The problem of observer design for a class of linear time-varying system is researched in this paper. An augmented linear time-varying system is proposed to extent the application of the previous results. Moreover, using the observable block companion form of the augmented linear time-varying system, this paper presents an algorithm of observer design. Compared with other observer design approaches, the prominent feature of the algorithm is that of simplifying the computational ***, simulations are designed in linear time-varying system and results are presented to demonstrate validity of the proposed algorithm.

Joints of copper and stainless steels are used in a er ospace applications. Production of these joints by fusion welding faces many dif ficulties. This may be due to the differences in their physical, metallurgical a nd mechanical properties. Electron Beam Welding (EBW) process has been found to be especially well suited in this area. Selection of the appropriate welding par ameters needs thorough investigations. These parameters include: preheat tempera ture (℃), welding current (I w), focusing current (I F), welding spee d (V), height between the gun and workpiece surface (H), scan width (S w) and shift distance (S). The present work aims firstly, setting the pr oper welding conditions to get sound joint between commercially pure copper (C10 200) and AISI 316 stainless steel plates 8 mm thickness. Secondly, investigate t he effect of Electron Beam (EB) shift, single-sided and double-sided welds on the mechanical, metallurgical and chemical properties of the weld bead. Due to t he high difference in thermal conductivity between copper and stainless steel, E lectron Beam (EB) was shifted towards copper with different values. These values were ranged from 0.3 to 0.9 mm in welding without preheating of copper plate an d from 0.1 to 0.4 mm with preheating. Number of joints were welded using variabl e EBW parameters in view to obtain the sound weld bead. These parameters are as follows: gradual reduction I w=51 to 49 mA, I F=845 mA, V=8 mm/sec , H=130 mm, S w=500 μm and S=0.4 mm. The investigation has shown t hat, the copper (C10200) plate must be preheated to get sound welded joint with AISI 316 stainless steel using the EBW process. The tensile fracture in all wel ded samples occurred in copper plate away from the weld bead. This reflects that the weld bead tensile strength is greater than the copper strength. The EB shif t has slight effect on hardness distribution through weld bead. The hardness val ue (H v) reduces in gradual manner from stainless steel hardness to

Understanding the relationship between macroeconomic variables and the stock market is important because macroeconomic variables have a systematic effect on stock market *** study uses monthly data from India for the period from April 1994 to July 2018 to examine the long-run relationship between the stock market and macroeconomic *** empirical findings suggest that standard cointegration tests fail to identify any relationship among these ***,a transformation that extracts the actual functional relationship between these variables using the alternating conditional expectations algorithm of(J Am Stat Assoc 80:580–598,1985)identifies strong evidence of cointegration and indicates nonlinearity in the long-run ***,the continuous partial wavelet coherency model identifies strong coherency at a lower frequency for the transformed variables,establishing the fact that the long-run relationship between stock prices and macroeconomic variables in India is nonlinear and *** evidence has far-reaching implications for understanding the dynamic relationships between the stock market and macroeconomic variables.

This study examined whether family-owned firms have advantages for accessing external financial sources for *** in developing countries with imperfect markets,firms can face difficulties accessing external financing sources;however,family-owned firms might have some advantages in this regard over nonfamily *** previous studies,this study considered that,in the Turkish context,nonfamily firms are financially constrained while family firms are *** examine this hypothesis,we used the generalized method of moments(GMM)approach to analyze panel data from 2006 to *** findings showed that financing constraints were a significant obstacle to growth for nonfamily-owned manufacturing firms while the effect was not present for family firms since they are controlled by large,well-established family *** results elucidate the relationship between corporate ownership and growth among Turkish firms,especially those with strong links to large family-owned *** results also revealed that reputation and network may facilitate easier access to external financing sources,especially when considering the“Big Six”family ties of firms.

Diabetes mellitus is one of the common metabolic disorders acquiring around 2.8%of the world's population and is anticipated to cross 5.4%by the year *** long back herbal medicines have been the highly esteemed source of medicine therefore,they have become a growing part of modern,high-tech *** view of the above aspects the present review provides profiles of plants(65 species) with hypoglycaemic properties,available through literature source from various database with proper categorization according to the parts used,mode of reduction in blood glucose(insulinomimetic or insulin secretagugues activity) and active phyloconsliluents having insulin mimetics *** the review it was suggested that,plant showing hypoglycemic potential mainly belongs to the family Leguminoseae,Lamiaceae,Liliaceae,Cucurbitaceae, Asteraceae,Moraceae,rosaceae and *** most active plants are Allium sativum. Gymnema sylvestre,Citrullus colocynthis,Trigonella foenum greacum,Momordica charantia and Ficuts *** review describes some new bioactive drugs and isolated compounds from plants such as roseoside,epigallocatechin gallate,beta-pyrazol-1-ylalanine,cinchonain Ib,leucocyandin 3-O-beta-d-galactosyl cellobioside,leucopelargonidin-3- O-alpha-L rhamuoside,glycyrrhetinic acid,dehydrotrametenolic acid,strictinin,isostrictinin,pedunculagin, epicatechin and christinin-A showing significant insulinomimetic and antidiabetic activity with more efficacy than conventional hypoglycaemic ***,from the review majorly,the antidiabetic activity of medicinal plants is attributed to the presence of polyphenols,flavonoida, terpenoids,coumarins and other constituents which show reduction in blood glucose *** review also discusses the management aspect of diabetes mellitus using these plants and their active principles.

Mycobacterium tuberculosis （MTB）, causative agent of tuberculosis, is one of the most dreaded diseases of the century. It has long been studied by researchers throughout the world using various wet-lab and dry-lab techniques In this study, we focus on mining useful patterns at genomic level that can be applied for in silico functional characterization of genes from the MTB complex. The model developed on the basis of the patterns found in this study can correctly identify 99.77% of the input genes from the genome of MTB strain H37rv. The model was tested against four other MTB strains and the homologue M. bovis to further evaluate its generalization capability. The mean prediction accuracy was 85.76%. It was also observed that the GC content remained fairly constant throughout the genome, implicating the absence of any pathogenicity island transferred from other organisms. This study reveals that dinucleotide composition is an efficient functional class discriminator for MTB complex. To facilitate the application of this model, a web server Tuber-Gene has been developed, which can be freely accessed at http：//***/tb2/.
