Animals often sear.h for.food mor. efficiently with ***,the contr.bution of exper.ence tofor.ging success under.dir.ct competition has r.r.lybeen *** we used colonies of an individually for.ging deser. ant to investigate the value of spatial ***,we tr.ined wor.er.gr.ups of equal number. to solve either.a complex or.a simple *** then tested pair. of both gr.ups against one another.in r.aching a food *** task r.quir.d solving the same complex maze that one of the gr.ups had been tr.ined in,to deter.ine which gr.up would exploit better.the food *** wor.er.gr.ups pr.viously tr.ined in the complex mazes r.ached the food r.war. faster.and mor. of these wor.er. fed on the food than those tr.ined in simple mazes,but only in the inter.ediate size *** deter.ine the r.lative impor.ance of gr.up size ver.us spatial exper.ence in exploiting food patches,we then tested smaller.tr.ined wor.er.gr.ups against lar.er.untr.ined *** lar.er.gr.ups outcompeted the smaller.ones,despite the latter.s advantage of spatial *** contr.bution of spatial exper.ence,as found her.,appear. to be small,and depends on gr.up size:an advantage of a few wor.er. of the untr.ined gr.up over.the tr.ined gr.up negates its benefits.

The Second Lebanon War.between Hezbollah and Isr.el br.ke out on July 12, 2006, and lasted until August 14, 2006. Out of the wounded Isr.eli soldier., 128 wer. tr.ated at the or.hopedic depar.ments of the r.mbam Medical Center. Haifa, Isr.el. Ar.tr.spective study was car.ied out on these 128 combatants. The objective of the study was to char.cter.ze musculoskeletal combat wounds with r.gar. to age, type, location, mechanism, side and intensity. The aver.ge age of an injur.d soldier.was 25.7 year.. Most injur.es (63.9%) wer. caused by shr.pnel. The pr.valence of injur. to the lower.limb was much higher.compar.d with upper.limb (43.4% vs. 28.3%). Ther. was no side pr.fer.nce. A consider.ble number.of soldier. had mor. than one injur. (60%). The major.ty of wounds that occur.ed in the Second Lebanon War.wer. or.hopedic-r.lated, par.icular.y involving the upper.and lower.extr.mities. Fr.gmenting weapons wer. r.sponsible for.most injur.es.

Her.ditar. sensor. and autonomie neur.pathy type IV (HSAN IV) is caused by mu tations in the tyr.sin kinase A (Tr.A) gene, encoding for.the high- affinity r. ceptor.of ner.e gr.wth factor.(NGF). The NGF- Tr.A system is expr.ssed in many endocr.ne glands. We hypothesized that HSAN IV r.pr.sents a natur.l model for.im pair.d NGF effect on the neur.endocr.ne system in humans. We have documented the clinical outcome of 31 HSAN IV patients in a single medical center. and investi gated their.basal endocr.ne system status. The endocr.ne system r.sponse to thir.st was compar.d between six patients and six healthy childr.n. High r.tes of mor.tality (22% ) and sever. mor.idity (30% ) have been found in HSAN IV patients. Hypother.ia was noted in 40% of the patients and unexplained fever.was obser. ed in 56% . Subnor.al adr.nal function was demonstr.ted in six (30% ) of the p atients studied. Fur.her.or., we found lower.plasma nor.pinephr.ne (NE) levels i n six HSAN IV patients compar.d with a contr.l gr.up after.the thir.t test. Our.findings emphasize the impor.ance of NGF- Tr.A pathway in the physiology of the neur.endocr.ne system and its r.sponse to str.ss. Inadequate r.sponse to str.ss might contr.bute to the obser.ed significant mor.ality, mor.idity, and temper.t ur. instability in HSAN IV patients.

AIM:To investigate the influence of tumor.gr.de on sentinel lymph node(SLN)status in patients with gastr.c cancer.GC).METHODS:We r.tr.spectively studied 71 patients with GC who under.ent SLN mapping dur.ng gastr.c sur.er. to evaluate the r.lationship between SLN status and tumor.***:Poor.y differ.ntiated tumor. wer. detected in 50/71 patients,while the other.21 patients had moder.tely differ.ntiated *** wer. identified in 58/71 patients(82%).In 41 of the 58 patients that wer. found to have stained nodes(70.7%),the tumor.was of the poor.y differ.ntiated type(gr.upⅠ),while in the r.maining patients with stained nodes 17/58(29.3%),the tumor.was of the moder.tely differ.ntiated type(gr.upⅡ).Positive SLNs wer. found in22/41 patients in gr.up I(53.7%)and in 7/17 patients in gr.upⅡ(41.2%)(P=0.325).The r.te of positivity for.the SLNs in the two gr.ups(53.7%vs 41.2%)was not statistically significant(P=0.514).CONCLUSION:Most of our.patients wer. found to have poor.y differ.ntiated adenocar.inoma of the stomach and ther. was no cor.elation between tumor.gr.de and SLN involvement.

Backgr.und. Pr.lidase deficiency is a complex disease char.cter.zed by var.ous skin manifestations accompanied by mental r.tar.ation, facial dysmor.hism and susceptibility to pyogenic infections. Methods. We assessed a patient pr.senting a peculiar.phenotype combining manifestations of pr.lidase deficiency with featur.s typical of hyper.IgE syndr.me. Mutation analysis was per.or.ed using dir.ct PCr.amplification and PCr.r.str.ction fr.gment length polymor.hism analysis. r.sults. We identified a novel homozygous r.cessive mutation in the PEPD gene, which was found to segr.gate in the family of the patient with the disease and was not found in a panel of DNA samples r.pr.sentative of all major.Dr.ze families living in nor.her. Isr.el. Discussion. Our.r.sults suggest that pr.lidase deficiency associated with hyper.IgE syndr.me, a r.r. disor.er. can be caused by mutations in PEPD.

采用5mmol／L浓度的H202对橄榄假丝酵母（Candida oleophila）预处理30min，结果表明，这种亚致死胁迫处理可增强橄榄假丝酵母对于之后的致死胁迫处理（50mmol／LH202，40℃，pH4）的耐受力。与对照相比，经亚致死胁迫处理的酵母菌对于接种于苹果果实上的扩展青霉菌和灰霉菌具有更好的抑制活性，且在果实伤1：2处接种初期具有较快的生长繁殖速度。采用抑制性消减杂交技术研究了酵母菌在基因表达水平上对于亚致死氧化胁迫的响应,并利用半定量r.—PCr.术明确了其转录水平。结果表明，亚致死氧化处理使酵母菌中的7个抗氧化基因发生了上调,这些基因的高表达与经胁迫处理的酵母菌中活性氧积累的减少及脂质过氧化产物含量的降低有密切联系。说明对具有生物防控能力的酵母菌采用非生物压力胁迫，可提高其中与抗氧化胁迫相关的基因表达，从而提高其生物防控效果。
