Initial bacterial adhesion on dental implant abutment is related to its surface chemical composition and physical *** of appropriate abutment materials resistant to bacterial adhesion is important for dental implant *** aim of present study was to evaluate the effect of different properties of abutment materials on initial bacterial adhesion in *** zirconia(PZ group), polished titanium(PT group) and ground titanium(GT group) samples were prepared to simulate clinical dental implant *** compositions, morphology, roughness, hydrophilicity and surface free energy of materials were *** commensal bacterium Streptococcus mitis was used to evaluate initial bacterial adhesion via turbidity test and colony-forming unit *** results showed that GT group presented the highest roughness, hydrophilicity and surface free *** 6-h incubation, GT group showed the significantly highest adhered bacteria counts;while non-significant difference existed between PT and PZ *** the clinically applicable range used in present study, the surface physical characteristics, instead of surface chemical composition, of dental abutment material have the pronounced influence on initial 6-h bacterial adhesion.

Valued Gabriel quiver of a wedge product and semiprime coalgebras

We describe the valued Gabriel quiver of a wedge product of coalgebras and study the category of comodules of a semiprime coalgebra. In particular, we prove that any monomial semiprime k-tame fc-tame coalgebra is string. We also prove a version of Eisenbud-Griffith theorem for coalgebras, namely, any hereditary semiprime strictly quasi-finite coalgebra is serial.

Resistance projection welding for TO-Can style package

The effects of the process parameters on the joint quality of TO-Can using resistance projection welding were investigated.A capacitor discharge stored energy welding machine was used for joining caps and headers both coated with nickel SPCC *** electrode materials used in this study were brass and W-Cu ***-tal results indicated that the peak current of the W-Cu electrode was higher than that of the brass electrode,irrespective of the operating pressure *** operating pressure influenced the interfacial heat generation and nugget *** nugget area increased rapidly with increasing charging voltage,resulting in ex-pulsions and electrodes getting *** acceptable welding zone was found in the relationship between the charging voltage and the operating *** test specimens of the acceptable welding zone satisfactorily passed the helium leak *** microscopic morphology of the nugget showed a recrystallized fine grain structure resulting in the nugget being harder than with the HAZ.

Let M be a(2 k + 2 l + 2)-dimensional smooth manifold. For such M, Bande and Hadjar introduce a new geometric structure called contact pair which roughly is a couple of 1-forms of constant classes with complementary kernels and foliations. We show the relationship between a pair of vector fields for a contact pair and a quadruple of functions on M. This is a generalization of the classical result for contact manifolds.

NONLINEAR NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF A FLEXIBLE ROTOR EQUIPPED WITH SQUEEZE COUPLE STRESS FLUID FILM JOURNAL BEARINGS

This study performs a dynamic analysis of a rotor supported by two squeeze couple stress fluid film journal bearings with nonlinear suspension. The numerical results show that the stability of the system varies with the non-dimensional speed ratios and the dimensionless parameter l＊. It is found that the system is more stable with higher dimensionless parameter l＊. Thus it can conclude that the rotor-bearing system lubricated with the couple stress fluid is more stable than that with the conventional Newtonian fluid. The modeling results thus obtained by using the method proposed in this paper can be used to predict the stability of the rotor-bearing system and the undesirable behavior of the rotor and bearing center can be avoided.

Numerical simulations for G-Brownian motion

This paper is concerned with numerical simulations for the G- Brownian motion （defined by S. Peng in Stochastic Analysis and Applications, 2007, 541-567）. By the definition of the G-normal distribution, we first show that the G-Brownian motions can be simulated by solving a certain kind of Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman （HJB） equations. Then, some finite difference methods are designed for the corresponding HJB equations. Numerical simulation results of the G-normal distribution, the G-Brownian motion, and the corresponding quadratic variation process are provided, which characterize basic properties of the G-Brownian motion. We believe that the algorithms in this work serve as a fundamental tool for future studies, e.g., for solving stochastic differential equations （SDEs）/stochastic partial differential equations （SPDEs） driven by the G-Brownian motions.
