A taxonomic revision of Musa aurantiaca (Musaceae) in Southeast Asia

Since the initial description, the name Musa aurantiaca Baker (1893) has been unclear to most botanists. The aim of this study is to settle its true identity and to update the description. The plant is distributed in the regions of Upper Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, India, Northern Myanmar and Tibet, China where it occurs commonly but it is not mentioned in Chinese literature at all. In this paper, the authors also review the description and the literature history of M. aurantiaca from 1893 to the present. Musa aurantiaca Baker is typified here.

BACKGROUND recently,there has been a significant increase in the consumption of ultraprocessed foods ***,the association between the consumption of ultra-processed food,obesity,and the prevalence of colon cancer remains *** To find out the association between the consumption of ultra-processed food,obesity,and the prevalence of colon *** A comprehensive systematic literature search of PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,and Google Scholar for grey literature was done for articles published before 8th March *** search was done to retrieve potential peer-reviewed articles that explored the association between the consumption of ultra-processed food,obesity,and the prevalence of colon *** Of the 246 potential articles assessed,17 met the inclusion ***-analysis results demonstrated that high consumption of ultra-processed food is associated with an increased risk of obesity[odds ratio(OR):1.65;95%CI:1.07-2.45;Pre is a positive association between obesity and an increased risk of colon cancer(OR 1.48;95%CI:0.77-2.87;P>0.05).CONCLUSION Consuming ultra-processed foods increases the risk of obesity and colon cancer.

Advancements in molecular characterization technologies have accelerated targeted cancer therapy research at unprecedented resolution and dimensionality. Integrating comprehensive multi-omic molecular profiling of a tumor, proteogenomics, marks a transformative milestone for preclinical cancer research. In this paper, we initially provided an overview of proteogenomics in cancer research, spanning genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics. Subsequently, the applications were introduced and examined from different perspectives, including but not limited to genetic alterations, molecular quantifications, single-cell patterns, different post-translational modification levels, subtype signatures, and immune landscape. We also paid attention to the combined multi-omics data analysis and pan-cancer analysis. This paper highlights the crucial role of proteogenomics in preclinical targeted cancer therapy research, including but not limited to elucidating the mechanisms of tumorigenesis, discovering effective therapeutic targets and promising biomarkers, and developing subtype-specific therapies.

The study of magnetic monopoles continues to be a prominent and captivating topic in physics, particularly within the realm of physical materials. recently, K. C. Tan, Hariom Jani, Michael Högen, and their collaborators (2023) reported groundbreaking discoveries, marking significant progress in this field. However, a sense of dissatisfaction persists among researchers regarding the current state of advancement. To address this, we propose a novel theoretical framework that explores magnetic monopoles through the lens of Higgs field portals. Our findings indicate that the spin of the magnetic monopole, s = 1, is intrinsically linked to the fundamental expression governing its behavior, with the two aspects being inseparable in practical terms. This theory offers a deeper understanding of the inherent nature of magnetic monopoles and provides a foundation for further exploration.

北极地区的治理离不开世界各国的合作，但目前在中美关系处于低谷，北极安全形势恶化和“双北极”的背景下，北极治理面临着前所未有的挑战。2024年12月召开的“第七届中美北极社会科学研讨会”可谓是一个相对积极的信号。与会专家学者在中美两国已有北极合作的基础上探讨今后在气候变化和环境保护、北极航道的开发与利用、北极经济和教育发展等方面可能的合作以及两国北极合作存在的阻碍因素，并就特朗普2.0时代下中美北极合作的未来前景进行深入分析与展望。主要观点有：中美两国在北极治理议题上存在共同利益和合作机遇，但美国高估了中国在北极的作用和雄心并误判了中国的北极战略意图，这些误判有时是文化差异造成的，有些是故意曲解；有部分学者对特朗普总统2.0任内对中美关系的影响持悲观态度，但认为“北极新例外论”（中美北极合作）的发展有一定的空间；在未来一段时间内，非国家行为体、二轨外交和务实合作在推动中美北极关系发展方面将发挥较大的作用。

The increasing cost of infrastructure development risks stifling national investment *** projects in Uganda have suffered because of the frequency and magnitude of claims made by parties involved especially the *** a result,the construction industry is plagued with claims which quite often lead to adversarial *** major grounds for claims were identified through studying the contract documents where claims had been *** in scope;change orders;errors in contract documents;inclement weather;inflation;delay in possessing the site;and change in the tax policy were the most prevalent grounds for making *** identified in claiming process include delays in getting approval;information on claims not reliable;hostility from the parties involved;pricing of claims;delays in effecting payment when approved;and overzealous contract interpretation leading to misunderstanding and delays Using a survey on project managers for 64 contractors and their corresponding clients or their representatives,the major ways in which it can be reduced were identified as being thoroughness during the design phase;providing for inflation;proper planning of works;using prequalified contractors;and proper documentation of *** have a big role to play in reducing claims.

Serrated flow has been primarily studied at the macron scale,yet the length and times scales at which the solute-meditated dislocation pinning and de-pinning processes that underlie the phenomenon occur are largely inaccessible by macroscopic ***,direct insights into the dominant slip systems in the serrated flow regime,which is particularly critical in Mg alloys given their high plastic anisotropy,requires the use of small-scale testing methods such as ***,in this work,a combination of microcompression and TEM based EDS/STEM measurements have used to critically study the temperature and strain rate dependences in single crystals of pure Mg and a Mg-Gd alloy oriented for twinning,basal-,prismatic-,and *** results provide compelling evidence that the solute drag mechanism underlie serrated flow in the alloy;they also show that serrated flow in Mg alloys is markedly *** anisotropy is caused by differences between the Burgers vector for slip/twinning,and between the impurity diffusivity along/perpendicular to the basal plane.

We consider a dynamic market model of liquidity where unmatched buy and sell limit orders are stored in order *** resulting net demand surface constitutes the sole input to the *** model demand using a two-parameter Brownian motion because(i)different points on the demand curve correspond to orders motivated by different information,and(ii)in general,the market price of risk equation of no-arbitrage theory has no solutions when the demand curve is driven by a finite number of factors,thus allowing for *** prove that if the driving noise is infinite-dimensional,then there is no arbitrage in the *** the equivalent martingale measure,the clearing price is a martingale,and options can be priced under the no-arbitrage *** consider several parameterizations of the model and show advantages of specifying the demand curve as a quantity that is a function of price,as opposed to price as a function of *** online appendix presents a basic empirical analysis of the model:calibration using information from actual order books,computation of option prices using Monte Carlo simulations,and comparison with observed data.
