Advancing electrochemical drilling process via coupling of flow field and electric field in pulsating state generated by a novel tube tool

This paper introduces an improvement to electrochemical drilling process by coupling flow field and electric field in pulsating state. A novel tube with half-wedged shape at the end(HW-tube) is prepared, with both sidewall and wedged part of the HW-tube insulated. Only the flat part is utilized to provide electric field for electrochemical drilling. By rotating the HW-tube, both flow field and electric field in pulsating state are generated, alternating in different positions within the inter-electrode gap(IEG). The pulsating flow field enhances the mass transfer process, while pulsating electric field disperses material dissolution process and distribution of electrolytic byproducts. Both pulsating fields are coupled at the same frequency, further enhancing the electrochemical drilling process. Simulation results indicate that both flow field and electric field in pulsating state are generated. Compared to the traditional tube, the HW-tube significantly reduces the number of residual particles in IEG, and this number is further reduced by increasing the rotation speed. Experimental results reveal that the surface quality and dimensional uniformity of small hole are improved with HW-tube. With feed rate of 2.22 mm/min, a small hole with diameter of 1.52± 0.017 mm is drilled, resulting in a surface roughness of 0.331 μm.

Mechanical Performance of Bio-inspired Bidirectional Corrugated Sandwich Pressure Shell Under External Hydrostatic Pressure

This paper aims to enhance the compression capacity of underwater cylindrical shells by adopting the corrugated sandwich structure of *** cuttlebone suffers uniaxial external compression,while underwater cylindrical shells are in a biaxial compressive stress *** suit the biaxial compressive stress state,a novel bidirectional corrugated sandwich structure is proposed to improve the bearing capacity of cylindrical *** static and buckling analysis for the sandwich shell and the unstiffened cylindrical shell with the same volume-weight ratio are studied by numerical *** is indicated that the proposed sandwich shell can effectively reduce the ratio between circumferential and axial stress from 2 to 1.25 and improve the critical buckling load by about 1.63 *** simulation shows that optimizing and adjusting the structural parameters could significantly improve the advantage of the sandwich ***,the hydrostatic pressure tests for shell models fabricated by 3D printing are carried *** to the experimental results,the overall failure position of the sandwich shell is at the center part of the sandwich *** has been found the average critical load of the proposed sandwich shell models exceeds two times that of the unstiffened shell ***,the proposed bio-inspired bidirectional corrugated sandwich structure can significantly enhance the pressure resistance capability of cylindrical shells.

Intelligent Sensing and Control of Road Construction Robot Scenes Based on Road Construction

Automatic control technology is the basis of road robot improvement,according to the characteristics of construction equipment and functions,the research will be input type perception from positioning acquisition,real-world monitoring,the process will use RTK-GNSS positional perception technology,by projecting the left side of the earth from Gauss-Krueger projection method,and then carry out the Cartesian conversion based on the characteristics of drawing;steering control system is the core of the electric drive unmanned module,on the basis of the analysis of the composition of the steering system of unmanned engineering vehicles,the steering system key components such as direction,torque sensor,drive motor and other models are established,the joint simulation model of unmanned engineering vehicles is established,the steering controller is designed using the PID method,the simulation results show that the control method can meet the construction path demand for automatic *** path planning will first formulate the construction area with preset values and realize the steering angle correction during driving by PID algorithm,and never realize the construction-based path planning,and the results show that the method can control the straight path within the error of 10 cm and the curve error within 20 *** the collaboration of various modules,the automatic construction simulation results of this robot show that the design path and control method is effective.

The terrestrial abundance anomalies of helium and xenon suggest the presence of deep-Earth reservoirs of these elements,which has led to great interest in searching for materials that can host these usually unreactive ***,using an advanced crystal structure search approach in conjunction with first-principles calculations,we show that several Xe/He-bearing iron halides are thermodynamically stable in a broad region of P–T phase space below 60 *** results present a compelling case for sequestration of He and Xe in the early Earth and may suggest their much wider distribution in the present Earth than previously *** findings offer insights into key material-based and physical mechanisms for elucidating major geological phenomena.

Study of poly-disperse aerosols deposition in turbulent flow with different Reynolds numbers

The turbulent deposition mechanism is one of the main mechanisms of aerosol deposition in nuclear power plant *** experimental study of poly-disperse aerosol deposition in a horizontal tube is conducted,where the nominal Reynolds number(Re)is in a range of 3600–200,*** aerosol deposition velocity first increases and then decreases with the increase of Res,and at high Re,particle rebound occurs during aerosol deposition in the *** the Re is low,the aerosol deposition velocity increases with the increase of aerosol *** the Re is greater than 60,000,the deposition velocity first increases and then decreases with the increase of aerosol diameter due to particle surface rebound.A new aerosol deposition model has been developed by establishing the energy conservation equation of the rebounded particles in the viscous *** calculated results of the new model are in good agreement with these experimental results,and the error between the aerosol deposition velocity calculated by the model and experimental results is between−60%and 150%.

Rock mass quality prediction on tunnel faces with incomplete multi-source dataset via tree-augmented naive Bayesian network

Rock mass quality serves as a vital index for predicting the stability and safety status of rock tunnel *** tunneling practice,the rock mass quality is often assessed via a combination of qualitative and quantitative ***,due to the harsh on-site construction conditions,it is rather difficult to obtain some of the evaluation parameters which are essential for the rock mass quality *** this study,a novel improved Swin Transformer is proposed to detect,segment,and quantify rock mass characteristic parameters such as water leakage,fractures,weak *** site experiment results demonstrate that the improved Swin Transformer achieves optimal segmentation results and achieving accuracies of 92%,81%,and 86%for water leakage,fractures,and weak interlayers,respectively.A multisource rock tunnel face characteristic(RTFC)dataset includes 11 parameters for predicting rock mass quality is *** the limitations in predictive performance of incomplete evaluation parameters exist in this dataset,a novel tree-augmented naive Bayesian network(BN)is proposed to address the challenge of the incomplete dataset and achieved a prediction accuracy of 88%.In comparison with other commonly used Machine Learning models the proposed BN-based approach proved an improved performance on predicting the rock mass quality with the incomplete *** utilizing the established BN,a further sensitivity analysis is conducted to quantitatively evaluate the importance of the various parameters,results indicate that the rock strength and fractures parameter exert the most significant influence on rock mass quality.

BACKGROUND The prominent symptoms of chronic pelvic pain syndrome(CPPS)are urogenital pain,lower urinary tract symptoms,psychological problems,and sexual *** pharmacological treatments have poor efficacy and more untoward reaction and *** vibration magnetoelectric therapy is a non-invasive form of ***,its effectiveness in improving urinary discomfort and relieving pain in patients requires further *** To investigate the clinical efficacy of the magnetic vibration magnetoelectric therapy instrument in the treatment of chronic prostatitis(CP)/*** Seventy patients with CP/CPPS were collected from the outpatient clinic and ward of the Department of Male Medicine,Jiangsu Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and were treated with magnetic vibration magnetoelectric therapy once a day for a period of 14 *** Institutes of healthchronic prostatitis symptom index(NIH-CPSI),international index of erectile function 5(IIEF-5),premature ejaculation diagnostic tool(PEDT),generalized anxiety disorder(GAD),patient health questionnaire,the pain catastrophizing scale(PCS)and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome(TCMS)scores were performed before and after *** The total effective rate of treatment was 58.5%,and the total NIH-CPSI score,pain symptoms,voiding symptoms,quality of life,IIEF-5,PEDT,GAD,PCS and TCMS scores all decreased significantly(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Magnetic vibration magnetotherapy is effective in improving urinary discomfort,relieving pain,improving quality of life,improving sexual dysfunction and relieving negative emotions such as anxiety in patients with CP/CPPS.

Influence of Nd^(3+) concentration on mid-infrared emission in PbF_(2) crystal co-doped with Ho^(3+) and Nd^(3+) ions

A promising series of Ho_(y)Nd_(x)Pb_((1-x-y))F_2(x = 0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04;y = 0.02) crystals was grown by the Bridgman method. The influence of the Nd^(3+)ions concentration on mid-infrared(~2.0, ~2.9 and ~3.9 μm)fluorescence emissions of Ho^(3+)ions in the PbF_(2) crystal excited by 808 nm laser diode was investigated in this work. The energy transfer mechanism between Nd^(3+)ions and Ho~(3+)ions under different concentrations of the Nd^(3+)ions was systematically analyzed. The results show that the Nd^(3+)ions have good sensitization and deactivation effect on the Ho^(3+)ions to stimulate the mid-infrared fluorescence emissions. The experimental analysis proves that the sensitization efficiency of the Nd^(3+)ions is relatively stable at around 93.45% with varying Nd^(3+)-doping concentrations. Concentration dependence studies indicate that the concentration of the Nd^(3+)ions has significant influence on mid-infrared *** the doping concentration of the Nd^(3+)ions is up to 2.0 at%, the intensity of ~2.0, ~2.9 and ~3.9 μm emissions all reach the maximum. The output characteristics of a 3.9 μm laser are simulated, and it is found that with the increase of the Nd^(3+)-doping concentration, the peak power, pulse width, and peak energy all meet the trend of first increasing and then decreasing, and Ho_(0.02)Nd_(0.02)Pb_(0.96)F_(2) crystal displays the best performance. All the results show that the Nd^(3+)/Ho^(3+)co-doped PbF_(2) crystals might act as a useful optical medium for mid-infrared laser applications.
