Performance Simulation of a Double Tube Heat Exchanger Based on Different Nanofluids by Aspen Plus

A heat exchanger’s performance depends heavily on the operating fluid’s transfer of heat capacity and thermal *** nanoparticles of high thermal conductivity materials is a significant way to enhance the heat transfer fluid’s thermal *** research used engine oil containing alumina(Al_(2)O_(3))nanoparticles and copper oxide(CuO)to test whether or not the heat exchanger’s efficiency could be *** establish the most effective elements for heat transfer enhancement,the heat exchangers thermal performance was tested at 0.05%and 0.1%concentrations for Al_(2)O_(3)and CuO *** simulation results showed that the percentage increase in Nusselt number(Nu)for nanofluid at 0.05%particle concentration compared to pure oil was 9.71%for CuO nanofluids and 6.7%for Al_(2)O_(3)*** 0.1%concentration,the enhancement percentage in Nu was approximately 23%for CuO and 18.67%for Al_(2)O_(3)nanofluids,*** a concentration of 0.1%,CuO nanofluid increased the LmTD and overall heat transfer coefficient(U)by 7.24 and 5.91%*** the overall heat transfer coefficient(U)and the heat transfer coefficient(hn)for CuO nanofluid at a concentration of 0.1%increased by 5.91%and 10.68%,*** effectiveness(εn)of a heat exchanger was increased by roughly 4.09%with the use of CuO nanofluid in comparison to Al_(2)O_(3)at a concentration of 0.1%.The amount of exergy destruction in DTHX goes down as Re and volume fractions go ***,at 0.05%and 0.1%nanoparticle concentrations,the percentage increase in dimensionless exergy is 10.55%and 13.08%,***,adding the CuO and Al_(2)O_(3)nanoparticles improved the thermal conductivity of the main fluid(oil),resulting in a considerable increase in the thermal performance and rate of heat transfer of a heat exchanger.

Combinatory effect of hesperetin and mesenchymal stem cells on the deteriorated lipid profile,heart and kidney functions and antioxidant activity in STZ-induced diabetic rats

This study aimed to assess the effect of hesperetin and/or bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(Bm-mSCs)on disturbed lipid profile,heart and kidney functions,oxidative stress and antioxidant defense system in streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic *** 1 diabetes mellitus(T1Dm)was induced in male Wistar rats by injecting 40 mg/kg body weight(b.w.)STZ dissolved in citrate buffer(pH 4.5).The diabetic rats were treated with hesperetin orally administered at dose 20 mg/kg b.w.,Bm-mSCs intravenously injected at a dose of 1 x 106 cells/rat/week and their combination for 6 *** diabetic rats exhibited lipid abnormalities manifested by elevated serum levels of total cholesterol,triglycerides,LDL-cholesterol and VLDL-cholesterol and lowered HDL-cholesterol as well as elevated liver cholesterol and triglycerides content in association with the resultant fasting and postprandial hyperglycemia and insulin *** heart function biomarkers including CK-mB,AST and LDH activities as well as levels of kidney function parameters,creatinine,and urea,were significantly raised in the serum of diabetic *** changes were concomitant with abnormal redox balance represented by elevated lipid peroxidation,decreased glutathione content,and suppressed antioxidant enzyme activities in both heart and kidney of diabetic *** previous deleterious alterations were significantly ameliorated after the treatment of diabetic rats with hesperetin and Bm-mSCs singly or in combination;the treatment with hesperetin together with Bm-mSCs was the most *** on these findings,it can be concluded that the use of hesperetin with Bm-mSCs may have more additive therapeutic value than their uses singly in *** addition,the ameliorative effects of hesperetin and Bm-mSCs on lipid profile and heart and kidney functions in diabetic rats may be mediated,at least in part,via their suppressive effects on oxidative stress and ameliorative effects on the antioxidant defense system

Healthcare systems nowadays depend on IoT sensors for sending data over the internet as a common *** ofmedical images is very important to secure patient *** these images consumes a lot of time onedge computing;therefore,theuse of anauto-encoder for compressionbefore encodingwill solve such a *** this paper,we use an auto-encoder to compress amedical image before encryption,and an encryption output(vector)is sent out over the *** the other hand,a decoder was used to reproduce the original image back after the vector was received and *** convolutional neural networks were conducted to evaluate our proposed approach:The first one is the auto-encoder,which is utilized to compress and encrypt the images,and the other assesses the classification accuracy of the image after decryption and *** hyperparameters of the encoder were tested,followed by the classification of the image to verify that no critical information was lost,to test the encryption and encoding *** this approach,sixteen hyperparameter permutations are utilized,but this research discusses three main cases in *** first case shows that the combination of mean Square Logarithmic Error(mSLE),ADAgrad,two layers for the auto-encoder,and ReLU had the best auto-encoder results with a mean Absolute Error(mAE)=0.221 after 50 epochs and 75%classification with the best result for the classification *** second case shows the reflection of auto-encoder results on the classification results which is a combination ofmean Square Error(mSE),RmSprop,three layers for the auto-encoder,and ReLU,which had the best classification accuracy of 65%,the auto-encoder gives mAE=0.31 after 50 *** third case is the worst,which is the combination of the hinge,RmSprop,three layers for the auto-encoder,and ReLU,providing accuracy of 20%and mAE=0.485.

Biodecoloration of Reactive Black 5 by the methylotrophic yeast Candida boidinii mm 4035

Azo dyes are extensively used in textile dyeing and other industries. Effluents of dying industries are specially colored and could cause severe damage to the environment. The anaerobic treatment of textile dying effluents is nowadays the preferred option, but it could generate carcinogenic aromatic amines. Recently, yeasts have become a promising altemative, combining unicellular growth with oxidative mechanisms. This work reports the characterization of the first methylotrophic yeast with dye decolorizing ability, Candida boidinii mm 4035 and some insights into its decoloration mechanism. The analysis of two selected media revealed a possible two stages mechanism of Reactive Black 5 decoloration. In glucose poor media, decoloration is incomplete and only the first stage proceeds, leading to the accumulation of a purple compound. In media with higher glucose concentrations, the yeast is able to decolorize totally an initial concentration of 200 mg/L. The entire process is co-metabolic, being largely dependent on glucose concentration but being able to proceed with several nitrogen sources. manganese dependent peroxidase but not laccase activity could be detected during decoloration. Aromatic amines do not accumulate in culture media, supporting an oxidative decoloration mechanism of unknown ecophysiological relevance.

This paper presents a novel Simulink models with an evaluation study of more widely used On-Line maximum Power Point tracking(mPPT)techniques for Photo-Voltaic based Battery Storage Systems(PV-BSS).To have a full comparative study in terms of the dynamic response,battery state of charge(SOC),and oscillations around the maximum Power Point(mPP)of the PV-BSS to variations in climate conditions,these techniques are simulated in matlab/*** introduced methodologies are classified into two types;the first type is conventional hill-climbing techniques which are based on instantaneous PV data measurements such as Perturb&Observe and Incremental Conductance *** second type is a novel proposed methodology is based on using solar irradiance and cell temperature measurements with pre-build Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System(ANFIS)model to predict DC–DC converter optimum duty cycle to track *** evaluation study is introduced for conventional and proposed On-Line mPPT *** comparative study can be useful in specifying the appropriateness of the mPPT techniques for *** the introduced model can be used as a valued reference model for future research related to Soft Computing(SC)mPPT techniques.A significant improvement of SOC is achieved by the proposed model and methodology with high accuracy and lower oscillations.

Thyme oil and thymol abrogate doxorubicin-induced nephrotoxicity and cardiotoxicity in Wistar rats via repression of oxidative stress and enhancement of antioxidant defense mechanisms

This study aimed to assess the preventive effects of thyme oil and thymol on doxorubicin(DOX)-induced renotoxicity,cardiotoxicity,and oxidative stress in Wistar *** oil was subjected to GC-mS analysis,which indicated that thymol was the major constituent representing 33.896%.Rats intraperitoneally injected with DOX at a dose of 2 mg/kg b.w./one per week for 7 weeks were co-treated with thyme oil and its major constituent,thymol,at doses 250 and 100 mg/kg b.w./every other day,respectively,by oral gavage for the same *** oil and thymol markedly ameliorated the raised levels of serum urea,uric acid,and creatinine in DOX-administered *** also reduced the elevated activities of serum CK-mB and *** oil was more effective than thymol in decreasing the elevated serum creatinine level and serum CK-mB activity in DOX-administered rats,thereby reflecting its more potent effect on kidney and heart *** peroxidation significantly decreased while GSH level and GST and GPx activities significantly increased in kidney and heart of DOX-administered rats treated with thyme oil and *** DOX-induced perturbed kidney histological changes including congestion of glomerulus tuft,inflammatory cells infiltration,protein cast in lumina of the renal tubule,and thickening of the parietal layer of Bowman’s capsule were remarkably ameliorated as a result of treatment with thyme oil and thymol;thyme oil was more *** addition,DOX-induced deleterious heart histological alterations,including intramuscular infiltration of inflammatory cells,focal necrosis of cardiac myocytes,and edema,were remarkably reduced by treatment with thyme oil and ***,it can be concluded that DOX could induce marked toxicity in kidney and heart,and the treatment with thyme oil or thymol produced potential improvement of kidney and heart function and histological integrity via repression of oxidative stress and enhancement of antioxidant defense mechanisms.

Intestinal protozoa and intestinal helminthic infections among schoolchildren in Central Sudan

Objective:To determine the prevalence of intestinal parasitic infections and soil-transmitted helminths(STHs) among primary schoolchildren in El dhayga,Central ***:In this cross-sectional study,three fresh faecal samples were collected from each child,which were examined by direct wet mount,brine flotation,formalin-ether and Kato-Katz *** intensity of each STH infection was expressed as the mean of eggs per gram counts of the three ***:In total,142(90.4%) of 157 children harboured at least one type of intestinal *** lumbricoides,Hymenolepis nana,Entamoeba histolytica and Giardia lamblia were the most common parasites found,with prevalence rates of 32.5%,30.6%,33.1%and 19.7%,*** of these 157 children,29(18.5%) harboured more than two intestinal parasitic *** cases of Schistosoma mansoni or Enterobius vermicularis were identified. Conclusions:The study demonstrates significant burden of intestinal protozoa and STH infections in this part of Sudan and highlights the need for preventive and intervention measures.
