Although the incidence and mortality of gastric cancer(GC)have been decreasing steadily worldwide,especially in East Asia,the disease burden of this malignancy is still very *** for tremendous progress in the management of GC by multidisciplinary treatment,surgical excision of the primary tumor is still the cornerstone intervention in the curative-intent treatment of *** the relatively short perioperative period,patients undergoing radical gastrectomy will suffer from at least part of the following perioperative events:Surgery,anesthesia,pain,intraoperative blood loss,allogeneic blood transfusion,postoperative complications,and their related anxiety,depression and stress response,which have been shown to affect long-term ***,in recent years,studies have been carried out to find and test interventions during the perioperative period to improve the long-term survival of patients following radical gastrectomy,which will be the aim of this review.

Poor stability has long been one of the key issues that hinder the practical applications of lead-based halide *** this paper,the photoluminescence(PL)quantum yield(QY)of bromide-based perovskites can be increased from 2.5% to 71.54% by introducing water,and the PL QY of a sample in aqueous solution decreases minimally over 1 *** enhanced stability and PL QY can be attributed to the water-induced methylamino lead bromide perovskite(MAPbBr_(3))@PbBr(OH).We note that this strategy is universal to MAPbBr_(3),formamidine lead bromide perovskite(FAPbBr_(3)),inorganic lead bromide perovskite(CsPbBr_(3)),***-emitting devices(LEDs)are fabricated by using the as-prepared perovskite as phosphors on a 365 nm UV *** luminance intensity of the LED is 9549 cd/m^(2) when.the driven current is 200 mA,and blemishes on the surface of glass are clearly observed under the illumination of the *** work provides a new strategy for highly stable and efficient perovskites.

Surface patterning is very useful in biomaterial studies, yet it is not easy to prepare a micropattern with cell-adhesion contrast that is stable in a wet environment. Recently, a platform technique of transfer photolithography was invented to fabricate stable metal microarrays on the surface of a cell-adhesion resistant and mechanically biomimetic poly（ethylene glycol） hydrogel; the linker is the key chemical in such a transfer strategy. This article reports the design and synthesis of a hetero-bifunctional macromonomer linker with a thiol group at one end and an acryloyl group at the other end. The bifunctional linker was char- acterized by GPC and ~H NMR, and the average number of thiol groups in the bifunctional linker was detected by Ellman＇s reagent. The regent stability under wet conditions was also confirmed by the model reactants. The resultant micropatterned surfaces are meaningful for future studies of cell behaviors on mechanically biomimetic matrixes.

A triboelectric nanogenerator （TENG） with an organic nanocomposite electret thin film as the triboelectric layer for mechanical energy harvesting was investigated systematically. In combination with corona charging, a TENG was fabricated by using embedded-nanocapacitor-structure polytetrafluoroethylene （PTFE） impregnated with gold nanoparticles （Au-NPs）. The output performances, stability, and durability of the TENGs with Au-PTFE nanocomposite films were characterized after being washed in water. It was found that the output current increases by 70% and the equivalent surface charge density （ESCD） reaches 85 μC/m^2 in comparison to the virgin PTFE film. Such outstanding performance is likely due to the equivalent nanocapacitors between the Au-NPs and PTFE molecules, which serve as nano charge traps in the nanocomposite electret film under negative high-voltage corona charging. This work not only expands the practical applications of TENGs, but also opens up new possibilities for the development of high performance triboelectric materials.

Objective: The objective of the study is to investigate the effect of Kangfuxin lotion as adjunctive therapy for treating ulcerative colitis(UC) through a systematic review and meta?analysis of randomized controlled trials(RCTs). Materials and Methods: RCTs comparing Kangfuxin lotion with no treatment, placebo, western medications or combination therapy for treatment of UC were included in this study. Two English and three Chinese electronic databases were searched. All searches ended in December 2017. Data and quality assessment carried out respectively. Rev Man 5.2 software(Copenhagen, The Nordic Cochrane Centre, The Cochrane Collaboration, 2014) was used to analyze with effect estimate presented as mean difference(MD), risk ratio(RR) and 95% confidence interval(CI). Results: Fifteen trials with 1050 participants were included in this review. Overall, 13 trials were eligible for meta?analysis. Kangfuxin lotion combined with Mesalazine was better than Mesalazine on clinical cure rate(RR 1.45, 95% CI 1.24–1.70, 7 trials), recurrence rate of UC(RR 0.22, 95% CI 0.07–0.72, 2 trials), or endoscopic mucosal recovery(RR 8.05, 95% CI 2.64–24.57, 2 trials). And Kangfuxin lotion combined with triple live bacteria tablets(Bifidobacterium-Lactobacillus? Streptococcus thermophilus)was superior with regard to symptoms remission rate(RR 5.36, 95% CI 1.73–16.60, 3 trials), endoscopic disease activity score(MD-2.30, 95% CI-2.64–-1.96, 1 trial). There were no reports on the serious adverse events of Kangfuxin lotion. Conclusion: Kangfuxin lotion as adjunctive treatment appears more effective than medications alone on clinical cure rate, recurrence rate, endoscopic mucosal recovery and improvement rate of related symptoms.

The Universal Soil Loss Equation model is often used to improve soil resource conservation by monitoring and forecasting soil *** study tested a novel method to determine the cover and management factor(C)of this model by coupling the leaf area index(lai)and soil basal respiration(SBR)to more accurately estimate a soil erosion map for a typical region with red soil in Hetian,Fujian Province,*** spatial distribution of the lai was obtained using the normalized difference vegetation index and was consistent with the lai observed in the field(R^2=0.66).The spatial distribution of the SBR was obtained using the Carnegie-Ames-Stanford Approach model and verified by soil respiration field observations(R^2=0.51).Correlation analyses and regression models suggested that the lai and SBR could reasonably reflect the structure of the forest canopy and understory vegetation,***,the C-factor was reconstructed using the proposed forest vegetation structure factor(Cs),which considers the effect of the forest canopy and shrub and litter layers on reducing rainfall *** feasibility of this new method was thoroughly verified using runoff plots(R2=0.55).The results demonstrated that Cs may help local governments understand the vital role of the structure of the vegetation layer in limiting soil erosion and provide a more accurate large-scale quantification of the C-factor for soil erosion.

Background The relationship between inflammatory markers and the characteristics of coronary atherosclerosis plaques is uncertain. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the relationship between the characteristics of coronary atherosclerosis plaques and inflammatory markers such as high sensitivity C-reactive proteins （Hs-CRP） and interleukin-6 （IL-6）. Methods All patients suspected of having coronary heart disease （CHD） underwent Siemens 64-slice CT angiography （64-SCTA） to distinguish the quality of plaque of coronary artery lesions. Blood samples were taken to measure levels of serum Hs-CRP and IL-6 in different plaque groups and the control group and compared with the value of 64-SCTA for detection of coronary artery plaque. Results The sensitivity of detecting coronary artery plaque by 64-SCTA was 87.4%, the specificity was 87.1%, the positive predictive value was 82.2%, and the negative predictive value was 91.0%. Comparing the levels of serum Hs-CRP and IL-6 among plaque groups, the mean levels of serum Hs-CRP and IL-6 in three plaque groups were significantly higher than those in the control group （P 〈0.01）. The mean levels of serum Hs-CRP and IL-6 in the soft plaque group and mixed plaque group were significantly higher than those in hard plaque group （P〈0.01）. Plaque burden in the soft plaque group and mixed plaque group was significantly higher than in the hard plaque group （P 〈0.01）, but there was no statistical difference between the soft plaque group and mixed plaque group （P=-0.246）. There was a negative correlation between the CT scale and Hs-CRP and IL-6 levels in the soft plaque group （r= -0.621, P〈0.01, and r= -0.593, P 〈0.01 respectively）. There was a positive correlation between the plaque burden and Hs-CRP and IL-6 levels in the soft plaque group （r=0.579, P〈0.05 and r=0.429, P〈0.05 respectively）. Conclusions 64-SCTA is an effective way to distinguish the different quality of coronary atherosclerosis plaque. Serum Hs-CRP and IL-6 levels

AIM: To investigate pim-3 expression in hepatic stellate cells(HSCs) stimulated by lipopolysaccharide(LPS), and its protective effect on HSCs. METHODS: Rat HSC-T6 cells were stimulated by LPS. The effect of LPS on proliferation and apoptosis of HSC-T6 cells was investigated by methyl thiazoyltetrazolium(MTT) assay and flow cytometry after annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate/propidium iodide double staining. pim-3 m RNA and protein were detected by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting at 48 h when.HSC-T6 cells were stimulated with 1 μg/m L LPS for 0, 3, 6, 12, 24 and 48 h. The cells without stimulation served as controls. To study the effect of pim-3 kinase on HSC-T6 cells, si-pim3(si RNA against pim-3) was transfected into HSC-T6 cells. HSC-T6 cells were subjected to different treatments, including LPS, si-pim3, or si-pim3 plus LPS, and control cells were untreated. Protein expression of pim-3 was detected at 48 h after treatment, and cell proliferation at 24 and 48 h by MTT assay. Apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry, and confirmed with caspase-3 activity ***: LPS promoted HSC-T6 cell proliferation and protected against apoptosis. Significantly delayed upregulation of pim-3 expression induced by LPSoccurred at 24 and 48 h for m RNA expression(pim-3/β-actin RNA, 24 or 48 h vs 0 h, 0.81 ± 0.20 or 0.78 ± 0.21 vs 0.42 ± 0.13, P < 0.05), and occurred at 12 h and peaked at 24 and 48 h for protein expression(pim-3/GAPDH protein, 12, or 24 or 48 h vs 0 h, 0.68 ± 0.12, 1.47 ± 0.25 or 1.51 ± 0.23 vs 0.34 ± 0.04, P < 0.01). pim-3 protein was ablated by si-pim3 and upregulated by LPS in HSC-T6 cells at 48 h after treatment(pim-3/GAPDH: si-pim3, si-pim3 plus LPS or LPS vs control, 0.11 ± 0.05, 0.12 ± 0.05 or 1.08 ± 0.02 vs 0.39 ± 0.03, P < 0.01). Our recent studies demonstrate that the focal adhesion protein Kindlin-2 is critical for chondrogenesis and early skeletal development. Here, we show that deleting Kindlin-2 from osteoblasts using the 2.3-kb mouse Col1 a1-Cre transgene minimally impacts bone mass in mice, but deleting Kindlin-2 using the 10-kb mouse Dmp1-Cre transgene, which targets osteocytes and mature osteoblasts, results in striking osteopenia in mice. Kindlin-2 loss reduces the osteoblastic population but increases the osteoclastic and adipocytic populations in the bone microenvironment. Kindlin-2 loss upregulates sclerostin in osteocytes,downregulates β-catenin in osteoblasts, and inhibits osteoblast formation and differentiation in vitro and in vivo. Upregulation ofβ-catenin in the mutant cells reverses the osteopenia induced by Kindlin-2 deficiency. Kindlin-2 loss additionally increases the expression of RANKL in osteocytes and increases osteoclast formation and bone resorption. Kindlin-2 deletion in osteocytes promotes osteoclast formation in osteocyte/bone marrow monocyte cocultures, which is significantly blocked by an anti-RANKLneutralizing antibody. Finally, Kindlin-2 loss increases osteocyte apoptosis and impairs osteocyte spreading and dendrite ***, we demonstrate an important role of Kindlin-2 in the regulation of bone homeostasis and provide a potential target for the treatment of metabolic bone diseases.

Composite granitic pluton with distinct units is a potential target for identifying its detailed magma evolution. Here, we present zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotope, whole-rock major and trace element compositions and Nd-Pb isotopes of the Wangxiang composite pluton, South China. New ages obtained show that these rocks were generated in Late Jurassic(ca. 156–158 Ma). The rocks are divided into low silica(SiO2 71 wt.%, two-mica granites, garnet-bearing muscovite granites and muscovite granites). The high silica rocks are enriched in light rare earth elements(LREEs) relative to heavy REEs(HREEs)((La/Yb)N= 15.6–41.9, while the low silica rocks are not(0.7–76.6). All rocks show various negative Ti, Sr, Eu and strong positive Pb anomalies. The low silica rocks have less negative values of εNd(t)(-8.79 to-6.99),similar values of(206Pb/204Pb)i(18.155–18.346) and εHf(t)(-9.51 to-3.47, except one-12.84), compared to the high silica rocks(εNd(t)=-11.14 to-10.26;(206Pb/204Pb)i= 17.935–19.093; εHf(t) =-12.03 to-7.15, except one-2.41). Data suggest that the parental magma of the studied rocks(represented by enclaves) was produced by partial melting of a garnet-free crustal source. Subsequently those crustal magmas formed the more evolved units through assimilation and fractional crystallization processes, and fluid enrichment during the final magmatic activity. Combining our results with previous multidisciplinary studies, we propose that the key factor to control the evolution of Wangxiang composite pluton is discrete emplacement of crustal magmas by dyking.
