In this paper, a deterministic lot-sizing model is developed for an item during its lifeperiod. A demand for the item is approximated by a special polynomial function. And shortages areallowed to occur in the proposed model. A simple dynamic programming method is presented forgenerating the optimal replenishment policy. A numerical example is used to illustrate the solutionprocedure for the special case with quadric demand. Sensitivity analysis for parameters is alsoincluded.

Manufacturing systems are in a dynamically changing e nvironment with uncertainty. Management of complexity, changes and disturbances is one of the key issues of production. The traditional hierarchical control of CIM systems limits the agility and the flexibility of the shop floor control sys tems and makes the reconfiguration and maintenance of shop floor control systems need high cost and much time. So new architectures are required to meet these c hallenges for the shop floor control systems. Recent fundamental research in distributed artificial intelligence and related applied research in intelligent manufacturing systems have shown that the Multi -Agent based system is one of the most promising methods. In a multi-agent man ufacturing system, the agents react to the information acquired from environment and communicate with other agents to co-operate to solve the global problem. I n this paper, a framework of reconfigurable shop floor control system based on m ulti-agent is presented. The concept of dynamic and logical manufacturing cell is proposed to organize manufacturing resources to achieve the ability of re configuration in dynamic shop floor environment. The framework is composed of three levels. First, the level of shop floor comp rises order agent, resource management agent, product management agent and t ask agent. Second, the level of dynamical cells consists of production agents an d control agents. Finally, the resource agents, such as AGV agents and machine a gents, belong to the equipment level. The control architecture in the framework is different from hierarchical control. It is hybrids of hierarchical and hetera rchical control architecture. The Contract Net protocol and its bidding mechanism are suitable and efficient t o implement the dynamic and logical manufacturing cells. Dietary amino acids imbalance will result in stunted broiler performance and deteriorated meat quality, which are involved in various biochemical cycles in vivo. In this study, the effects of dietary methionine on meat quality and methylation of myostatin exon 1 were investigated. Drip loss of the broilers fed with diet of high methionine levels （0.2%） increased from （6.3 ± 0.1）% （control group） to （10.1 ± 1.0）%, and the muscle shearing force increased from （22.8 ± 1.9） N （control group） to （26.3 ±2.3） N. Moreover, many CpG sites were found at the myostatin exon 1 region （nucleotides 2 360-2 540 bp）. To further understand the regulation of broiler myostatin expression, the methylation status of broiler myostatin exon 1 and its mRNA expression were analyzed. At the myostatin exon 1 region where CG enriches （nucleotides 2 360-2 540 bp）, the percentages of methylation were 46 and 84% in low Met and high Met content groups after 55-d feeding, respectively. In skeletal muscle tissues, the exon 1 hypermethylation status of myostatin gene was found to be negatively correlated with the gene expression. These results suggested that methylation of this gene is a dynamic process, which plays a dominant role in regulating gene expression for development of individuals.

X-ray diffraction of structure in nanocrystalline alpha -Fe and Cu was studied by atomistic simulation. Atomic position equilibrium was reached by using molecular dynamics method to simulate nanocrystalline structure with Finnis potentials to model interatomic interactions. It was found that the boundary component exhibits short-range order, and the distortion in crystalline component increases with the decrease of grain size.

Software development processes, as a mean to ensure software quality and productivity, have been widely accepted within the software development community. This research introduces how to assist developers to establish quality management plan and monitor the implementation of software processes quantitatively in a CASE environment. A PSEE (process centered software engineering environment) named Softev has been brought forward to provide developers the environment to define, execute and monitor their processes. As UML is becoming a standard diagrammatic notation for object oriented modeling and is spreading rapidly, it has been chosen to express the artifacts developed during the requirement analysis and system design stages. In the early products of software process engineering, most research mainly focus on the representations of complex organizational processes and architectures for process centered application support environment. However, the metrics of software processes and artifacts was not paid sufficient attention to. This research proposes the attributes to be measured during the development period which enable managers to predict and supervise the software project more precisely.

Evonian massive limestones in the Northeastern Brilon reef complex comprise many marine calcareous algae. 10 genera all 12 species could be identified .They are Keega australe,Solenopora geikiei,Solenopora sp. (red algae ), Litanaia cf. perisseia,Ortonella sp.,Vermiporella sp. (green algae ); Epiphyton sp., Girvanella ducii, Girvanella problematica,?Sphaerocodium sp.,Renalcis sp. (blue green algae )and Kamaena sp.. The distribution and relative abundance of these algae are conjoined to specific factes types and therefore they are very in the interpretation of paleoenvironments. In addition, calcareous algae can be used for the geologic dating.
