With the advent of digital therapeutics(DTx),the development of software as a medical device(SaMD)for mobile and wearable devices has gained significant attention in recent *** DTx evaluations,such as randomized clinical trials,mostly focus on verifying the effectiveness of DTx *** acquire a deeper understanding of DTx engagement and behavioral adherence,beyond efficacy,a large amount of contextual and interaction data from mobile and wearable devices during field deployment would be required for *** this work,the overall flow of the data-driven DTx analytics is reviewed to help researchers and practitioners to explore DTx datasets,to investigate contextual patterns associated with DTx usage,and to establish the(causal)relationship between DTx engagement and behavioral *** review of the key components of datadriven analytics provides novel research directions in the analysis of mobile sensor and interaction datasets,which helps to iteratively improve the receptivity of existing DTx.

This study adapted a statistical probabilistic anatomical map of the brain for single photon emission computed tomography images of depressive end-stage renal disease patients. This research aimed to investigate the relationship between symptom clusters, disease severity, and cerebral blood flow. Twenty-seven patients （16 males, 11 females） with stages 4 and 5 end-stage renal disease were enrolled, along with 25 healthy controls. All patients underwent depressive mood assessment and brain single photon emission computed tomography. The statistical probabilistic anatomical map images were used to calculate the brain single photon emission computed tomography counts. Asymmetric index was acquired and Pearson correlation analysis was performed to analyze the correlation between symptom factors, severity, and regional cerebral blood flow. The depression factors of the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale showed a negative correlation with cerebral blood flow in the left amygdale. The insomnia factor showed negative correlations with cerebral blood flow in the left amygdala, right superior frontal gyrus, right middle frontal gyrus, and left middle frontal gyrus. The anxiety factor showed a positive correlation with cerebral glucose metabolism in the cerebellar vermis and a negative correlation with cerebral glucose metabolism in the left globus pailidus, right inferior frontal gyrus, both temporal poles, and left parahippocampus. The overall depression severity （total scores of Hamilton Depression Rating Scale） was negatively correlated with the statistical probabilistic anatomical map results in the left amygdala and right inferior frontal gyrus. In conclusion, our results demonstrated that the disease severity and extent of cerebral blood flow quantified by a probabilistic brain atlas was related to various brain areas in terms of the overall severity and symptom factors in end-stage renal disease patients.

韩国是三面临海的国家,由于陆地资源缺乏,因此大多仰赖海洋的自然资源。所以海上运输成为了最方便快速的捷径。因此,与邻近国家间的海洋法律相关问题就显得特别重要。随着国际海上贸易的发展,船舶的大型化和船舶运送物流的增加,由船舶引发了海洋事故也在不断增加,由此海洋安全问题也开始受到了关注。2015年韩中两国签订了自贸协定(FTA),韩中两国专属经济区来往的船舶逐渐增加。另外,韩国和中国两国间开通的游船由12个船社运行的13个航线每日不停地往返于两国间,运送着人员和货物,因此可以说韩国和中国是海上交流最多的国家。然而,这样频繁的海上往来,也存在着遭遇自然灾害的危险,也就是海洋事故的发生。海洋事故有很多与陆上事故不一样的特性。事故发生地——大海通常和陆地相比,面积广阔,邻近的救助人力和舰艇较少又相距较远,救助人力到达事故现场所需的时间较长,当气象恶化时,船舶、飞机的运行也会受到限制,很难找到遇难者或遇难船舶。有鉴于上述的说明,本论文将逐步探讨船难事故的特点与预防,接着介绍韩中两国海洋机构的职权与法律体系,透过两国的比较试图找出共同的特点,以及两国目前仍可进行合作的条件。根据韩国海洋警察厅按年度对国家间海洋搜寻救助合作现状的统计,每年与中国合作救助的事例最多。由此可知,根据海洋事故的发生地,邻近救助力量的迅速投入是保护生命和财产关键,因此韩国和中国在面对海洋事故时,作为合作搜寻救助的国家有着重要的位置。再来阐述韩中两国海上事故救助的必要性以及未来的发展趋势,本文认为韩中两国对于海难事故必须基于人道救援的标准,提供受难者全面的保护,除此之外两国未来可以参考北美国家的合作模式,提供全面性的深化合作。最后是本论文的建议与结语,总的来说韩中两国不仅要依赖官方的支持与协助,也应该强化民间力量,一方面可以系统地辅助政府的海洋救助工作,另一方面也较能够提供及时的救援,当然也需要制定相关的法律,以便于妥善处理民间海洋救助团体的补偿和支援等事项。

Relationship between body mass index and serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D stronger among Caucasians than African Americans in NHANES adults 2001-2006

The rapid decline in circulating levels of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D in both African Americans and Caucasians in the US population remains unexplained, and appears to parallel the obesity epidemic. The cross sectional data on 7349 Caucasian and African American adults between 21 and 69 years of age from the continuous National Health and Nutrition Examination Study (NHANES) 2001 to 2006 were used to model by race, with smoothing functions, the true relationship between body mass index (BMI), waist circumference and serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D in men and women. Weighted regressions of determinants of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels were analyzed. Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D is negatively associated with BMI linearly above an inflection point at 20 kg/m2 and positively associated below a BMI of 20 kg/m2. The gender- and age-adjusted regression coefficients of BMI on 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels demonstrate a 50% lower coefficient (r = –0.18 ng/ml/ BMI unit) among African Americans than among Caucasians (r = –0.36 ng/ml/BMI unit). These relationships were as great in men as in women and were replicated when waist circumference was used as a surrogate for visceral fat levels. The extent to which BMI is a strong predictor of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels depends upon BMI being greater than 20 kg/m2. The hockey stick shape of the BMI 25-hydroxyvitamin D relationship needs to be taken into account when adjusting serum values for BMI. Both this inflection and reduction in serum levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in the population may be due to sequestration in an increasing adipose tissue reservoir. The interpretation of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels as a biomarker of vitamin D adequacy requires appropriate adjustment of body fat mass.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS)is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the degeneration of motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord,leading to muscle weakness,paralysis,and ultimately death(Cleveland and Rothstein,2001).Frontotemporal lobar degeneration(FTLD)is a neurodegenerative disease affecting the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain,leading to changes in behavior,personality,and language(Van Langenhove et al.,2012).Both ALS and FTLD are classified as proteinopathies in which abnormal protein aggregation and accumulation in neurons contribute to the disease *** in sarcoma(FUS)is a DNA/RNA-binding protein involved in various cellular processes,including transcriptional regulation,RNA splicing,and DNA *** in the FUS gene have been linked to familial ALS,highlighting the importance of FUS in the disease pathogenesis(Vance et al.,2009).In ALS and FTLD,aberrant post-translational modifications(PTMs)of FUS,such as phosphorylation,acetylation,and methylation,have been implicated in the promotion of FUS aggregation and neurotoxicity(Choi et al.,2023).Therefore,understanding the regulatory mechanisms of FUS PTMs is crucial for developing targeted therapies against these diseases.

High-mobility group box 1 was first discovered in the calf thymus as a DNA-binding nuclear protein and has been widely studied in diverse fields,including neurology and ***-mobility group box 1 in the extracellular space functions as a pro-inflammatory damage-associated molecular pattern,which has been proven to play an important role in a wide variety of central nervous system disorders such as ischemic stroke,Alzheimer’s disease,frontotemporal dementia,Parkinson’s disease,multiple sclerosis,epilepsy,and traumatic brain *** drugs that inhibit high-mobility group box 1 as a damage-associated molecular pattern,such as glycyrrhizin,ethyl pyruvate,and neutralizing anti-high-mobility group box 1 antibodies,are commonly used to target high-mobility group box 1 activity in central nervous system *** it is commonly known for its detrimental inflammatory effect,high-mobility group box 1 has also been shown to have beneficial pro-regenerative roles in central nervous system *** this narrative review,we provide a brief summary of the history of high-mobility group box 1 research and its characterization as a damage-associated molecular pattern,its downstream receptors,and intracellular signaling pathways,how high-mobility group box 1 exerts the repair-favoring roles in general and in the central nervous system,and clues on how to differentiate the pro-regenerative from the pro-inflammatory *** targeting high-mobility group box 1 in the central nervous system may benefit from differentiating between the two functions rather than overall suppression of high-mobility group box 1.
