Breast adenoid cystic carcinoma arising in microglandular adenosis:A case report and review of literature

BACKGROUND Breast adenoid cystic carcinoma(AdCC)is a rare invasive carcinoma composed of epithelial and myoepithelial *** adenosis(MGA)is a rare benign proliferative lesion consisting of small,uniform,and round glands formed by a single layer of epithelial cells and basement membrane without a myoepithelial cell *** may progress to atypical MGA and carcinoma arising in *** various invasive carcinomas from MGA,AdCC has been rarely ***,we report a case of AdCC arising in *** SUMMARY A 59-year-old woman was diagnosed with a newly developed density on a routine *** density was similar to or slightly lower than that of the breast *** showed an irregular mass with a slightly higher echo than that of *** resonance imaging showed an irregular mass with a similar T1 signal intensity and a slightly higher T2 signal intensity compared to muscles or the breast *** lesion showed heterogeneous internal enhancement with an initially slow and delayed persistent enhancing ***,the tumor was composed of invasive AdCC,in situ AdCC,and *** is composed of basaloid and ductal epithelial cells forming cribriform or solid sheets,or haphazardly scattered small cribriform or tubular *** showed small glands with a single epithelial lining and retained lumen.S-100 staining was strongly positive in MGA *** patient underwent breast-conserving surgery with sentinel lymph node *** Breast AdCC arising in MGA showed unique imaging findings that was different from usual invasive cancer.

Rumex acetosella Inhibits Platelet Function via Impaired MAPK and Phosphoinositide 3-Kinase Signaling

Objective:To examine the antiplatelet and antithrombotic activity of Rumex acetosella ***:Standard light aggregometry was used for platelet aggregation,intracellular calcium mobilization assessed using Fura-2/AM,granule secretion(ATP release)by luminometer,and fibrinogen binding to integrin α_(Ⅱb)β_(3) detected using flow *** blotting is carried out to determine the phosphorylation of mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3K)/Akt ***:Rumex acetosella displayed the ability to inhibit platelet aggregation,calcium mobilization,granule secretion,and fibrinogen binding to integrin α_(Ⅱb)β_(3).Rumex acetosella has also down-regulated MAPK and PI3K/Akt phosphorylation(all P<0.01).Conclusion:Rumex acetosella extract exhibits antiplatelet activity via modulating GPVI signaling,and it may protect against the development of platelet-related cardiovascular diseases.

Saccharomyces boulardii as a single trigger of food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome: Seven case reports

BACKGROUND Food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome(FPIES)is the most serious type of non-immunoglobulin E(IgE)-mediated food allergic reaction manifesting as sepsis-like symptom,which can lead to *** boulardii(***),a probiotic prescribed frequently in clinical settings,has been reported to trigger FPIES in an infant with soy-triggered *** this report,we describe a new clinical FPIES in which *** was the sole triggering factor of acute FPIES adverse reaction in seven healthy *** SUMMARY Seven FPIES cases triggered by only *** were gathered from 2011 to the *** of the patients had previously experienced any allergic reaction to cow’s milk,soy,or complementary *** age of the patients was 4-10-months old,and the symptoms of FPIES developed after ingestion of ***,which is mostly prescribed for the treatment of gastroenteritis or antibiotic-associated *** patients experienced severe repetitive vomiting 1-3 hours after *** *** lethargy,marked pallor,and cyanosis were also *** IgE-mediated hypersensitivity developed in any *** was followed by initial intense vomiting in approximately 5-10 hours after *** ingestion,and only one case showed bloody,purulent,and foul-smelling *** patients stabilized quickly,mostly within 6 *** got all improved within 24 hours after discontinuation of *** *** can be the sole trigger of acute FPIES and be prescribed cautiously even in healthy children without FPIES.

Rice tissue-specific promoters and conditiondependent promoters for effective translational application

Rice （Oryza sativa） is one of the most important staple food crops for more than half of the world＇s population. The demand is increasing for food security because of population growth and environmental challenges triggered by climate changes. This scenario has led to more interest in developing crops with greater productivity and sustainability. The process of genetic transformation, a major tool for crop improvement, utilizes promoters as one of its key elements. Those promoters are generally divided into three types： constitutive, spatiotemporal, and condition-dependent. Tran- scriptional control of a constitutive promoter often leads to reduced plant growth, due to a negative effect of accumu- lated molecules during cellular functions or energy consump- tion. To maximize the effect of a transgene on transgenic plants, it is better to use condition-dependent or tissue- specific promoters. However, until now, those types have not been as widely applied in crop biotechnology. In this review, we introduce and discuss four groups of tissue-specific promoters （5o promoters in total） and six groups of condition-dependent promoters （27 promoters）. These pro- moters can be utilized to fine-tune desirable agronomic traits and develop crops with tolerance to various stresses, enhanced nutritional value, and advanced productivity.

GPU Usage Time-Based Ordering Management Technique for Tasks Execution to Prevent Running Failures of GPU Tasks in Container Environments

In a cloud environment,graphics processing units(GPUs)are the primary devices used for high-performance *** exploit flexible resource utilization,a key advantage of cloud *** users share GPUs,which serve as coprocessors of central processing units(CPUs)and are activated only if tasks demand GPU *** a container environment,where resources can be shared among multiple users,GPU utilization can be increased by minimizing idle time because the tasks of many users run on a single ***,unlike CPUs and memory,GPUs cannot logically multiplex their ***,GPU memory does not support over-utilization:when it runs out,tasks will ***,it is necessary to regulate the order of execution of concurrently running GPU tasks to avoid such task failures and to ensure equitable GPU sharing among *** this paper,we propose a GPU task execution order management technique that controls GPU usage via time-based *** technique seeks to ensure equal GPU time among users in a container environment to prevent task *** the meantime,we use a deferred processing method to prevent GPU memory shortages when GPU tasks are executed simultaneously and to determine the execution order based on the GPU usage *** the order of GPU tasks cannot be externally adjusted arbitrarily once the task commences,the GPU task is indirectly paused by pausing the *** addition,as container pause/unpause status is based on the information about the available GPU memory capacity,overuse of GPU memory can be prevented at the *** a result,the strategy can prevent task failure and the GPU tasks can be experimentally processed in appropriate order.

Reliable high temperature, high humidity flexible thin film encapsulation using Al2O3/MgO nanolaminates for flexible OLEDs

Since most organic materials are very sensitive to moisture and oxygen, organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) require an encapsulation layer to protect the active layer from these gases. Since light, flexible and portable OLEDs are being employed in more diverse climates and environmental conditions, the OLED encapsulation layer must retain robust mechanical properties and stability in high temperature/high humidity conditions. Al2O3 films have demonstrated excellent barrier performance, but they readily hydrolyze when exposed to prolonged harsh environments. In this study, we fabricated a thin film encapsulation (TFE) film that was resistant to hydrolysis, using Al2O3/MgO (AM) nanolaminates. MgO has superior resistance to harsh environments, and the aluminate phase generated by the chemical reaction of Al2O3 and MgO provided excellent barrier performance, even after storage in harsh conditions. A multi-barrier fabricated using the AM nanolaminate showed excellent barrier performance, close to the level required by OLEDs. It did not significantly deteriorate even after a bending test of 1,000 iterations at 0.63% strain. After 1,000 cycle of bending, the electrical properties of the passivated OLEDs were not significantly degraded at shelf-lifetime test where the fabricated device was stored for 50 days in a harsh environment of 60℃, 90% relative humidity. The multi-barrier shows the best performance compared to previous studies on flexible encapsulation that can be used in harsh environments.

Electrochemical processing of spent nuclear fuels:An overview of oxide reduction in pyroprocessing technology

The electrochemical reduction process has been used to reduce spent oxide fuel to a metallic form using pyroprocessing technology for a closed fuel cycle in combination with a metal-fuel fast *** the electrochemical reduction process,oxides fuels are loaded at the cathode basket in molten LiO–LiCl salt and electrochemically reduced to the metal *** approaches based on thermodynamic calculations and experimental studies have been used to understand the electrode reaction and efficiently treat spent *** factors that affect the speed of the electrochemical reduction have been determined to optimize the process and scale-up the electrolysis *** addition,demonstrations of the integrated series of processes(electrorefining and salt distillation) with the electrochemical reduction have been conducted to realize the oxide fuel *** overview provides insight into the current status of and issues related to the electrochemical processing of spent nuclear fuels.

Antioxidant and anticancer activity of Artemisia princeps *** extract in HepG2 and Hep3B hepatocellular carcinoma cells

Objective：The aim of the present study was to investigate antioxidant and the anticancerigen activity of a methanol extract from Artemisia princeps *** （APME）,a well-known traditional herbal medicine in Asia,in hepatocellular cancer ***：To evaluate the antioxidant activity of APME,reactive oxygen species （ROS） and the antioxidant enzymes,superoxide dismutase （SOD） and catalase were investigated in HepG2 cells exposed to APME （5,100,and 200 μg/mL） for 72 ***,to evaluate the anticancer activity of APME,we investigated the proliferation and apoptosis induction of HepG2 and Hep3B cells exposed to APME （1-200 μg/mL） for 24,48,and 72 ***：APME dose-dependently reduced the generation of ROS in the presence of H2O2 compared with control ***,it increased catalase and SOD ***,APME inhibited cell proliferation in a dose-and time-dependcnt manner,but at concentrations lower than 100 μg/mL,the inhibition was less dose-dependent than ***2 and Hep3B cells exposed to 5,100,and 200 μg/mL APME for 72 h underwent cell cycle arrest and *** to APME resulted in a significant increase in the number of cells in G1 phase and a decrease in the G2/M phase cell *** addition,APME induced P53 expression of HepG2 cells in a dose-dependent manner,and played a role in the downregulation of Bcl-2 and upregulation of Bax in both HepG2 and Hep3B ***：These results indicate the potential role of APME as an antioxidant and anticancerigen agent in hepatocarcinoma cell lines.

Double-sided gastric perforation after a motorcycle accident in Korea:A case report

BACKGROUND Motorcycle accidents often result in abdominal trauma in patients seeking emergency *** to the hollow viscera,including the duodenum,jejunum,urinary bladder,and colorectum,are relatively *** contrast,owing to the protective function of the anterior rib cage,gastric rupture is exceptionally rare,with an incidence of<1.7%.Gastric rupture typically occurs in the anterior wall and rarely presents as multiple *** report describes an unusual case of multiple gastric ruptures resulting from blunt *** SUMMARY A 21-year-old man,who was involved in a motorcycle collision at 70 km/hour after consuming a large meal,presented with *** examination revealed abdominal *** test results indicated elevated amylase,lipase,and liver enzyme *** tomography showed pneumoperitoneum,hemoperitoneum,and gastric wall discontinuation,suggesting gastric perforation alongside pancreatic,splenic,and hepatic *** embolization was performed because of active contrast leakage in the left gastric and right gastroepiploic *** laparotomy revealed substantial blood loss,hematoma,and gastric contents scattered throughout the abdominal *** 10 cm gastric perforations in the anterior and posterior walls were identified,as well as severe liver damage,splenic injury,and pancreatic *** interventions included primary closure of the gastric wall,splenectomy,and partial *** temporary abdominal closure,the patient underwent a second surgery without further *** gastric repair site was resected and reinforced for optimal tissue *** Gastric rupture following blunt trauma is ***,patients without severe complications can recover through surgical interventions and postoperative care.

Analysis of optical emission spectroscopy data during silicon etching in SF_(6)/O_(2)/Ar plasma

Silicon etching is an essential process in various applications,and a major challenge for etching process is anisotropic high aspect ratio etching *** etch profile is determined by the plasma parameters and process *** this study,the plasma state with each process parameters were analyzed through the optical emission spectroscopy(OES)plasma diagnostic sensor by both chemical and physical *** temperature and electron density were additionally acquired using the corona model with OES data that provides chemical species information,and the etch profile was evaluated through scanning electron microscope measurement *** results include changes in profile with gas ratio,bias power,and *** figure out that factors like ion energy and ion angular distribution as well as chemical reaction affect the anisotropic profile.
